Lucas | Hotel
Last night didn't make anything awkward between Kalani and I, although it should've. Our morning was basically like we were together again. When I woke up this morning, I was still in Kalani's bed with my arms wrapped around her. We got up around nine and had breakfast around ten. We took a shower before she had dropped me back at the hotel around eleven.
I didn't regret sleeping with Kalani, but I do feel bad that I cheated on Amber with my ex-girlfriend. Amber and I haven't spoken since last night. Kalani and I haven't spoken at all. Not even any communication attempts between us.
I kind of pushed the fact that she could be pregnant to be the back of my mind. I don't want- no need. I don't need a baby right now and neither does she. I have my music career and she has her job and school. I mean can she dance if she's pregnant?
Amber was out with Olivia and I was smoking with Will and Dillyn.
I haven't told them about Kalani- well, the fact that I recently slept with her and there's a chance she could be pregnant.
Dillyn: Yo!
I looked at him.
Me: What nigga damn.
Will: Nigga ova' here zonin' out and shit.
Dillyn: Fuck you thinkin' bout ova there?
Me: None of ya business. Don't worry bout it.
Will: Well you know I'm gone worry bout it.
Dillyn: Yea cause you nosey as hell.
Will: Shut the hell up.
Dillyn: Make me.
They began arguing.
Me: Aigh' yall shut up.
I took the blunt from Will and hit it.
Will: So where exactly did ya go when Amber kicked you out?
Me: How you know I got kicked out?
Dillyn: The girls can't keep shit to their selves, plus yall were loud.
Me: Yea' you right.
I hit it again and passed it to Dillyn.
Me: I went to Kalani's.
Will: Who?
Dillyn shoved him.
Dillyn: Stop bein' stupid. You know exactly who she is.
Will shrugged and played in his hair.
Will: She's bad, yo. Forreal.
Me: Nigga watch ya self.
Dillyn: You still like ha'?
Me: We already talked bout this shit.
Will: We wanna hear this shit again.
Asshole.
Me: I feel like a bitch talkin' bout this shit.
Will: Well...
He dragged out his word.
Me: Ian no bitch nigga.
Dillyn: Yea' that's Will all the way.
I chuckled as they began to go at it again.
I swea' that's all they do is argue and fight.
Will: But, do you?
I sighed.
Me: Yea' imma always have feelings fa' ha'. No matta' what.
Dillyn: So, you stayed wit ha'?
Me: Yea'.
Dillyn: Was she shocked to see ya?
Me: Yea'. She always told me that I'd always be welcome anytime, anywhere and anyplace.
Dillyn: Sounds like a first love.
I cocked my head to the side.
Will: Oh shit, she was! Oooh, Amber gone lose that race!
Dillyn: There ain't a race idiot.
Will: Lucas still loves Kalmani-
Me: Kalani.
Will: See! He just corrected me.
I sighed and lit the other blunt. I need as much weed as possible when I'm around these idiots.
Dillyn: So, what if he loves Kalani, don't mean he gone leave Amber fa' ha'. Are ya?
Me: Nah.
Will: Did you guys fuck?
Dillyn: Why would ya e'en ask that?
Will: What? It was jus a question.
Dillyn: It was also none of ya nosey ass business.
Will: But did you?
I just sat back in the chair and looked at them.
Dillyn: Imma say yea'.
Me: If I tell yall, will you shut tha hell up and lemme tha hell alone?
Will: Yea'.
Me: Aigh', fine, we did. We fucked. Now lemme tha hell alone.
It went quiet after that.
Will: Damn. I wasn't expectin' that answer honestly.
Me: Yea' well you got it.
The door opened and the girls walked in.
Oliva: C'mon yall. Amber needs to talk to Lucas.
Will: Uh yea' he do.
They got up and left. I finished off the roach and put it out.
Me: Wassup?
Amber: Don't you think we should talk?
Me: Yea'.
She sat her bags on the ground and sat on the bed. She began to unzip her sandals.
Amber: So, let's start with why you spent over half a thousand dollars.
It was only over half of a thou? Coulda sworn it was more that.
Me: Cause it's my money and I can do what I want wit it.
She sighed.
Amber: That don't matter though, Lucas. Yes it's your money but-
Me: But nothin'. Yea, I spent money on my ex but this aint the first time. Why did you go through my shit anyways?
Amber: I got curious and I'm your girlfriend.
Me: Curiosity killed the cat, Amber.
Amber: Lucas just answer my questions. We can talk about that later.
Me: Yea aigh'. Ask yo questions.
Amber: What all did you spend your money on?
See, this was basically the only thing I hated about Amber. She likes to stick ha nose in places it don't belong. Her shit gone end up gettin' popped, not by me but that's fa sho' if she keep on.
Me: You already know wh-
Amber: I know what I saw, but I want to hear you say it.
I sighed and put my index and middle fingers on my temple.
Me: Lunch, gas money, parkin' ticket, rental car, Disneyland tickets, Disneyland food, when I took you shoppin, Celebration station, Starbucks, and some more shit.
Amber: All that was on Kalani, as well?
Me: Yea', 'cept when I took you shoppin.
Amber: When I kicked you out yesterday, where did you go?
Me: Kalani's.
Amber: Are you fucking serious?
Me: Yea'.
She sighed and put her hair up.
Amber: This is fucking ridiculous. You are spending money on your ex-girlfriend and shit. You fucking went to her place!
Me: Aye, you kicked me out. I wasn't finna sleep on no park bench or sum shit.
Amber: You coulda gotten another hotel room!
Me: Yea', I coulda but I left my wallet in here. I knew yo ass wasn't finna let me back up in here, so I went there.
Amber: You are such a fucking nigga, Lucas.
Me: Aye, what can I say.
Amber: Did you sleep in the same bed as her.
Well, I couldn't tell her that I slept in the same bed as Kalani, we had sex and there is a possibility that she's pregnant with my kid so...time ta lie.
Me: Nah. She had her room and I had the guest.
Which was true.
Amber: Mhm, did you fuck her?
Me: Nah.
Which was a lie.
Amber: Did you kiss.
Me: Nah.
Which was also another lie.
She sighed and shook her head.
Amber: Well, at least you didn't cheat on me. When was the last time you spoke to her?
Me: This morning, when she dropped me off at the hotel.
Which was the truth.
Amber: She didn't come up here did she?
Me: Nah.
And again; the truth.
Amber: Okay good. I want you to stop talking to her. All the way.
Ion think that's gone be a problem.
Me: Aigh'. Is that it?
Amber: "Aigh'"? Just like that?
Me: Yea' jus like that. So, are we done here?
Amber: Uh yeah. I guess so.
Me: Aigh' good.
I leaned back in the chair and watched as she began to unpack her shopping bags.
