Key- 'Alice's thoughts''Ichigo's thoughts and others'
A/N: This is kinda like a filler chapter? But it does have important information~!
Sorry if Kid!Ichigo and Masaki are like OOC or something.
And from now on the chapters will be switching from Alice's POV to Ichigo's (that will happen most likely after this one).
This may go on for a few (maybe 5 or so) chapters
Also I'm sorry for the long wait- I haven't had internet for a while because of a stupid storm! So It's now posted on the 4th of July- SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA<3333

I turned back to Ichigo and gave him a small smile, “Don't move and try to stay alive, Ichigo. I'll be okay.... So don't come after me... Also... Thank you.... for everything you've done for me. I am forever in your debt.” I said while bowing lightly before walking through the gates with Byakuya and Renji without looking back.
'I am truly sorry for everything I did to you, Ichigo. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me....'

We now head back 9 years to tell the story of how Alice first met Ichigo.
Alice's Pov- 9 years in the past
The sun was hidden behind the clouds, making it darker then it really was. It was only noon and it seemed like it was very late at night. The day was also very cold, making everyone wear heavy clothing even if it was only Autumn.
I was hiding in the bushes at a park, not wanting to be seen or found. I couldn't remember who or what I was hiding from, I just knew I had to stay hidden.
And if I thought about it, I couldn't remember anything besides my first name.
'Alice, my name is Alice.'
I constantly had to remind myself because I was afraid I would forget it.
I don't know how long I've been hiding but it seemed like forever.
And if whoever was really out there trying to get me, wouldn't they have left by now?
I sighed and pulled my knees closer to myself, trying to get some warmth back into my almost-frozen body.
I stiffened instantly when I heard voices.
“Mommy! I'm gonna go play~!” A boy said.
“Alright, Ichigo. Be careful and stay in my sights! Also don't play for too long we have to get back home soon!” 'Must be his mother...'
“Okay, I will.” The boy said in a sulking tone.
'I wish I had a mom. And a home... And a family....'
Before I knew it I started to cry. 'I wish I could have all of those things, maybe I do but I can't remember.' That one thought made me cry even more.
“Hey.... Are you... okay?”
I gasped and sniffled, rubbing my eyes so I could see who it was but I already knew.
It was the boy that was talking before. I didn't bother to look over at him and his mother because I knew it would make me sad.
I looked up at him. He had spiky orange hair, peach skin and big innocent brown eyes full of.... concern for me...? He wore a heavy jacket that was zipped all the way up and black pants.
Just as I was about to lie and say I was fine a voice came into my head.
'You shouldn't lie to him.'
I thought about it and realized that I might as well tell the truth.
“N-no...” I sniffled a little more.
“What's wrong?” He said before sitting next to me.
“... Well....” I started out softly, “I can't remember anything but my name...”
“My name's Ichigo! What's yours?”
“A-alice...” I muttered and then continued with what I was saying before, “And it's cold and I have no where to go and no one cares about me...” I started to cry again.
“You can come to my house! And also...” I over at him to see him blushing a bit, “...I care...” I blushed a light pink too.
“Stay right here, okay? I'm gonna go get my mom!”
I nodded and watched him run away.
A few moments later I saw him tugging him mother over.
His mom was very beautiful. She had fair skin and long light wavy brown hair down to her back, which was tied in a knot, while her bangs came down to her chin in the front. She wore a plain dresswith stockings and a heavy jacket.
“See mommy! This is Alice! You can see her too, right?”
“Yes I can, Ichigo. You poor thing. I'm Masaki Kurosaki, come with me so we can get you warm, okay?”
I shook my head a little bit, afraid that what I was hiding from would get me and these lovely people.
“I won't hurt you, I promise.” And for some reason I believed her. Maybe it was because I was very young or maybe it was because I needed to hear that. Either way I went with her to their house.
She carried me in her arms the whole way while holding her son's hand.
When we reached their house Ichigo opened the door for us.
“Welcome home~!!!” A man came hurtling towards the door but then stopped when he saw me.
“Who's this?” He said with a small smile.
“I-I'm Alice... nice to meet you...” I muttered softly.
“Nice to meet you too, Alice. I'm Isshin Kurosaki, the man of the house!” I giggled a little bit.
“Hey! Ichigo could you go check Yuzu and Karin*.” The boy nods and does as his father says.
(* Ichigo and Alice are 6 at the time. So if my math is right that makes Yuzu and Karin about 2...? )
After Ichigo is gone Isshin asks a few questions about what happened. After Masaki answered them, he made sure that I wasn't sick or harmed in anyway before letting me eat dinner with them.
“Um... Mr. Kurosaki...” I said looking up from my plate.
“Yes?”
“Um... Do you know my family? Because I can't remember anything besides my name...”
He smiled softly, “I do know your family. When you came through the door with Masaki I was very relieved. Also when I was making sure you were not sick Masaki called them and they will be here tomorrow to get you.”
“Really?” I said with a smile. He nodded while Masaki smiled at me. I was so happy and relieved to hear that they cared about me even if I didn't know them.
That was how Alice met Ichigo and his family.
We will now speed up the clock to a few weeks after Masaki Kurosaki died to tell the story of how Alice and Ichigo became Best Friends.
Ichigo's Pov – 6 years in the past
I had skipped school, again, for the fourth time this week. All I wanted was my mom and I didn't care about school, or friends or anything else.
I went to the riverbank, the place where my mom died. I always went there when I skipped, it was a habit. Usually I would stay from morning until night, wandering along the bank looking for my mom. I would take breaks by squatting down but after I was done I would go back to wandering.
Today seemed like it was every other day but it wasn't.
At the time I didn't know that Alice, my only other friend that's a girl, was watching me because she was worried.
The sun started to go down, making the sky an orange color. I sat down on the ground watching the sun start to disappear.
“Ichigo...” I gasped a bit and turned around to see Alice standing a little bit away. She had her hands clasped behind her back, leaving forward a bit, “Can I... sit with you?” She was wearing a light blue dress with red flowers on it and flip-flops.
I nodded slowly and turned back to look at the sunset. I heard her sit next to me.
A moment of silence went by before, “Ichigo.... You know... you can tell me anything... right?” I looked over at her before nodding slowly, “And you know that... I'll always be here for you. So... whenever you need to talk about anything... you can come to me.”
I looked down at the ground, “My mom....”
She looked over at me and placed her hand on mine, telling me to go on.
I gulped, “I-It's all my fault...”
Alice already seemed to anticipate this, “It is not your fault. You couldn't have done anything, besides your mother died protecting you. It means that she loved you so much she would die for you, plus she wouldn't want to see you like this- now would she?”
I looked over at Alice, who had a small smile on her face, “N-no....”
“Exactly... now lets go home?” I nodded as we both stood up. Alice gave me a big hug and a small kiss on the cheek before giggling and holding my hand as we walked home. A light pink dusted over my cheeks.
We will now speed up the clock to the present day and time.
Ichigo's Pov
Pain, Cold, Heaviness, Bleeding- Won't Stop.
The Rain stopped?
Am I dying? Or Dead?
