I opened my eyes to see Konspiracy sitting with Kacey in her lap .
They sat on the floor watching cartoons .

They followed me to the kitchen and I looked around .
My mama haven't been home in 2 weeks and there's nothing to eat .

I took a shower while they ate .

I stepped out , got dressed and cleaned up their dishes .

My moms looked up at me and smiled
Mama - that's sound fun she said walking off into her room .
I stood there and watched as she came back out with a bag
Me - Mama where you going ?
Mama - over my friends .
Me - Mama I said as my voice softened when are you coming back ?
Mama - Tonight she lied right through her teeth .
What she lying for ?
Me - We need to go grocery shopping I pointed out there's no food for us to eat .
She nodded
Mama - tomorrow she said walking to the door
Me - what about school ? Who's gonna watch them ? I asked Mama you know they said I missed to many days
Mama - Kharisma ! She yelled I don't know , find out with that she walked out the house and I closed my eyes trying to control my emotions .
Kacey started crying and I grabbed him up , quieting him down .
Me - shhhh Kacey .
I sat him down when he was finished crying and walked off as Kharisma called my name .
I shut the door and sniffled . I didn't want to cry .
I won't cry .
It just makes me mad how she act like she don't have children .
Konspiracy - Kharisma you ok ? She said at the door

Konspiracy - mommy made you sad ?
Me - no . Go get in the tub with Kacey so we can go to the park I said making myself sound happy
Konspiracy - okay she screeched
I heard her little feet run off and I got up and followed .
I washed her and Kacey up , put them on clean clothes and headed to the door .
I locked the door up and I held their hands as we walked down the street . Our neighborhood wasn't the safest to live in .
When we reached the park I let their hands go and they ran to the playground .
I sat and watched them carefully .
I found myself drifting out into my thoughts , what are we going to eat tomorrow ?
Shit what are we gonna eat tonight ? That one box of Macaroni isn't going to fill us up .
Konspiracy going to eat at school . She'll be good .
I'm going to have to do something for Kacey . I'll be good . I don't need to eat .
I looked up and watched as the boys played basketball . It was nice day today .
I noticed it was getting dark so I I jumped up and walked to my little brother and sister

I grabbed their hands and we started our walk back to the house .
" Aye lil mama ! " I seen a group of men ahead staring at me so I decided to turn the corner and take the long way home to avoid them .
As we walked I watched my surroundings .
I watched as the sun went down and a tall man got out his car .
He was really tall and skinny . He had on all black and from the way he walked I could tell he was on mission .
He looked both ways before walking into an alley . A van pulled up and people hopped out going to the same alley .
I heard screams which made me shake a little and pick Kacey up into my embrace .
He laid his head down on my shoulder as I picked up my walking pace .
Whatever the fuck they're doing in that alley I don't want to be apart of .
I heard footsteps running in my direction and I looked back to see a man running with the tall man in all black following him .
I grabbed my sister head with my free hand and turned it .
Me - close your eyes , close your eyes I urged as I seen a gun .
I know what's finna happen .
I covered her eyes as my body shook watching the tall man in all black pull out his gun .
Man in all black - I told you don't play with my fucking money he spat coldly
He aimed it at the running man hand and quickly pulled the trigger .
I watched a man life get took right in front of my eyes .
Blood splattered everywhere and the running man body dropped to the concrete .
The man in all black looked back , directly in my eyes which scared me .
All I could see was his eyes and his bushy eyebrows .
I heard police sirens and took off running .
Me - come on Spiracy ! I ran with all I could telling her to keep up .
When we got home I quickly got them inside and locked the door .
Konspiracy - Kharisma what happened ? She asked over and over
Me - nothing Konspiracy was all I could tell her go to the room with Kacey .
When she was out of sight I cried .
I watched that man get killed .
I shouldn't have took a the long way home .
