Logan's P.O.V.

It's the night and I'm standing outside, on the Gilbert's porch before Jenna while she is talking to me from inside her home. She's still as beautiful as the day we met. I love her so much...

- Why are you here, Logan? she asks, annoyed to see me.

- I missed you. I was out of town. I...

- Yeah, I got that email.

- You got an email? I ask her, shocked, surprised and confused. I don't understand, who could have send her an email to Jenna? Why doing this?

- You didn't send an email? she questions back, frowning madly.

- I can explain. Just invite me in and I'll tell you everything, I tell her, using my flirty voice while smiling.

- I'm not gonna invite you in. Forget it, she replies, shaking her head and talking with even more annoyment.

- Come on, Jenna. It's me.

- The answer's no, she insists, sternly.

- I know you. You're always one step from a "maybe", a tiny nudge to "yes", I reply, smirking as I continue flirting with her.

- You just pointed out that I have no self-control. Clever strategy! she responds madly, scoffing, before slamming the door at my face.

I stay few seconds in front of the Gilbert's door, processing what just happened. She said "no" to me! She never said "no" before... I'm so frustrated with the way our conversation went. It shouldn't have went like that. She should have invited me and I would have... I feel like I need to be with her. I want to kiss her, hug her, smell her neck,... bite her. I could hear her heart pomping blood when we were talking. Her heart race accelerated slowly when I pissed her off. But she smelled so good and it was like each of her heartbeating was getting louder, almost like it was calling for me to come drink that warm red liquid of hers...

I sigh and turn around to walk off the Gilbert's front porch. I'm hungry... And I can't walk during the day! Which is annoying and upsetting. I walk down the steps of the porch when I hear empty bottle clinking together and the sound of garbage bags. I look up, a bit further in the street when I remark an old man, walking out to put his trash away.

- Evening, I say politely as I walk up in the streets, acting like nothing is happening. The old man waves me a polite wave and walks back inside his house, looking a bit nervous.

I stare eagerly at him while walking slowly down onto the sidewalk. I can smell him despite the distance... It's so quiet at this time of the night. I let a heavy breath escape my mouth smiling when a woman comes jogging around the corner. I turn around to look at her and smile. She stares at me as she jogs passed me, but stops abruptly. I turn to face her again.

- Hey, you're that guy from the news, Logan Fell. I watch you every night. Well, I used to, I mean, you've been missing from my TV, she tells me, chuckling and smiling.

- I took some time off, I answer her, smiling back. Flirt mode is on again...

- I noticed. I'm Daphne, She puts her hand out and I shake it.

- Hey you know something, Daphne? I question her, still flirting.

- No, what? she asks, falling into it while we keep shaking hands. Suddenly, I feel veins popping under my eyes and my fangs going out. Daphne screams scared as I go in to bite down her neck, feeding myself and draining her out of her blood.

Gillian's P.O.V.

I woke up this morning or... afternoon! I slept that much? I stand up and go downstairs immediately. I am so thirsty and hungry. Last night was pretty eventful. I hope Uncle Damon came back to boarding house like he promised me. I walk into the kitchen to grab a blood bag in the refrigerator and walk in the parlor room when I hear and see my uncle and my dad talking. Uncle Damon is staring outside the window and Dad is standing near the sofa.

- So any idea of where you'll go? questions, my father while I look at them. They don't know yet that I am here.

- I don't know. London, maybe. See some friends, answers, my uncle, looking outside through the huge window.

- You don't have any friends, Damon, chuckles, dad and walks farther into the room.

- You're right, Stefan. I only have you and my dear little niece, he smirks and turns around before spotting me. Boo! you're awake, he says smiling and joyfully. My father turns around as well before smiling at me. I walk up to them still drinking my blood bag while nodding. I'm glad Uncle Damon came back to the boarding house like he told me. So, where are we goin'? asks, my uncle, smirking. I put an arm around dad's back to hug him from the side and so does he but around my shoulders. I let my body slightly resting on him as I feel dad's hand sliding down my back, gently rubbing it.

- We are not going anywhere, corrects, my father, looking at his brother seriously. I'm gonna live my life with my daughter as far away from you as possible.

- But we're a team! replies, Damon, walking toward us. We could travel the world together. The three of us. We could try out for "The Amazing Race".

- Mmmm, that's funny. Seriously, where are you going? Because we are not staying in this town, responds, seriously my father as he keeps his arm around I. Damon stares at us, losing his smile and joy when the doorbell, suddenly, rings.

Uncle Damon, dad and I glance at the door with a confused frown before glancing back at each other. Who could it be? My father takes his hand off my back before leaving the parlor room to go open the front door. Uncle Damon follows him behind while I go back to the kitchen to throw the bag away. The person better not see what I was eating. I walk back to where the brothers are and see and hear Sheriff Forbes. She smiles to me politely and tells me ''hi'' before Uncle Damon leads her outside. Dad sits on the sofa in the parlor room so I go sit next to him. He stares at the small table in front of us. He is listening to Uncle Damon and Sheriff Forbes's conversation. I can tell just by the way his face shows seriousness. I sigh and let my head rest on his shoulder while using my vampire hearing to listen to the conversation as well.

- There's been another attack. A female victim, her throat torn out, completely drained of blood. It fits the pattern, informs, the sheriff to my uncle.

I'm sorry. I don't understand, answers, Damon, sounding confused. Well, he playes well his part. I thought we solved that problem when I... staked the blond one, I grimace when he mentioned Lexi.

- I'm thinking she must have turned someone. Or multiple someones. I don't know. The story for the town is another animal attack but I'm not sure how long we can keep lying to them. The council is in an uproar. We thought we were past this.

- So, uh, what do we do? questions, Uncle Damon.

- You're the only one who's ever taken on a vampire. We were hoping you could tell us.

My uncle and the sheriff come back inside the boarding house. I look up at my father who understands my glance. The both of us act like we didn't hear any of the conversation. We say goodbye to Sheriff Forbes as Damon leads the woman to the front door. My father and I stay in the parlor room, still listening to them.

- Thank you for stopping by, says politely, my uncle before closing the door. Dad, suddenly, gets up from the sofa, vamp-speeds to his brother, grabs him by his shirt and holds him against the door.

- What is wrong with you? You killed somebody? questions and accuses, my father, speaking and looking angrily at Uncle damon. I vamp speed to them, alarmed by what is happening.

- Get off of me, tells, Damon, pushing my dad away from him. A... don't touch me. B... if I had, I wouldn't have been so obvious about it. He walks passed my father and comes standing beside me. C... There's another vampire in town.

- That's impossible, I tell to my uncle, shaking my head and looking up at him.

- Obviously not, Damon turns around and starts walking back to the parlor room. We follow him behind, dad frowning madly and confused.

- Then, who could it be? I ask not getting who got turned.

- Ah, what do we care? We're leaving anyway, right? smirks, Damon, glancing at his brother.

- No, I can't leave now and you know that, says, dad, approaching my uncle. How are we supposed to find this person?

- Let the adults handle this, Stefan.

- Uncle Damon, last time you handled it, you killed Aunt Lexi, I remind him madly, crossing my arms over my chest. Dad keeps staring at him while my uncle's famous smirk is plastered on his face. Dad turns around after sighing and looks at me. He walks up to me to stand in front of me.

- Go take your shower, Honey, we're going to school.

- But school will end in half an hour.

- I know but I have to warn Elena about this or those vampires, I nod and run upstairs to take my shower.

Twenty minutes later, the both of us vamp-speed to school and wait for the bell to ring. I sit on a pinic table and dad does the same. The both of us are staring at the school, not talking, nothing. He's nervous, I can tell. I can see him in the corner of my eyes playing nervously with his hands. The sun is shining bright in our back and even with it, we can't feel our problems going away. I sigh and stare at the grass when I feel my father puting his hand on my neck as he squeezes it gently. I turn my head to look at him and weakly smile. Dad weakly smiles back while gently rumbing my cheek with his thumb. Suddenly, the bell rings. Dad takes his hand off of my neck when people begin to run out of the building. Elena walks out with a friend, talking and laughing with her until they go part away. She smiles and waves goodbye to her friend before stopping abruptly when she remarks dad and I sitting on a pinic table. She looks surprised and nervous at the same time.

- I let you two alone, I tell him and stand up to walk away after waving and faintly smiling to Elena. I don't know where and with who I can go to but I'll find someone. I walk to the back of the school and see Matt and Tyler playing basketball while other people eat or take their bus to go home. I walk slowly toward them, listening to their conversation.

- So, what's up with you and Forbes? questions, Tyler while throwing the ball in the net.

- Nothing's up, responds, Matt, taking the ball and they switch their spot.

- I saw you two in the hall today. Don't even try to deny it, bro. You're tapping that.

- No, it's not like that.

- Never is. Until you become "we" people, Tyler shoots the ball again and scores a goal again.

- "We" people? questions, Matt, confused.

- Yeah, "we can't make it to the party"; "we'll never miss a game"; "we don't like the color red", replies, Tyler, annoyed.

- We hung out, like, twice, tells, the blonde boy, lightly shrugging. Matt shoots a basket and scores. Tyler catches the ball.

- Like I said, "we.", Matt chuckles.

- And you and Gillian? questions, Matt. I listening even more closely to their conversation after hearing my name. I stop in my tracks, staring at them. I saw you two together.

- She's just a friend, answers, Tyler.

- She's just a friend who can become more? smirks, Matt.

- Maybe, he says laughing which makes me smile. It's true, I kinda like Tyler too.

- It's a ''maybe'' for a one time thing or a ''maybe'' for more?

- Well, you know, I kinda like her, I smile even more to his answer, but I don't know, I'll see, my smile fades away quickly. Angriness is rising up inside me instead. I turn around and go to an alone spot.

Stefan's P.O.V.

After Gillian walked away to let me talk to her, Elena sat next to me. I took a deep breath before beginning to explain her everything I heard this morning between my brother and the sheriff Forbes's conversation and talked about Damon wanting to leave town.

- So, you have no idea who it could be? she questions confused as well.

- None. But it must be somebody new because leaving a body like that, they're either sloppy or they're trying to send a message, I answer, shaking my head. I really wish I knew who could have done that...

- And you're sure it's not Damon? she questions, wanting to be sure about my brother.

- Well, I'm never sure about Damon, but he's been trying to keep a low profile lately, so it's just doesn't make any sense to me, I reply.

- So what are you gonna do?

- Damon is tracking them right now, I stand up to face her. Look, I promised you the truth so I wanted to tell you. I want you to be careful, She nods and stands up as well.

- When I saw you, I... thought you were coming to say goodbye, she tells me sounding kinda relieved while quietly sighing.

- Not yet, I tell her, smiling lightly.

Damon's P.O.V.

I'm on the phone with Caroline who has my compass. I vamp-speed to a warehouse where she is waiting for me and arrive there behind her. Caroline holds out the compass and I grab it.

- So, why did you need me to do this? she questions me, frowning confused.

- Because I interfere with the signal, I simply answer the blond girl.

- Can I go now? This has blown, like, half of my day, she complains, upset.

- You do that, I look deep into her eyes and compel her. Get in your car. Go home. Forget I asked you to do this.

- Ok. Bye now, she says, smiling and walks to her car to drive away.

I turn to face the entrance of the warehouse. Well, it's now or never... I walk up the steps and open the door slowly, entering the warehouse. It's so dark inside. I look around as I walk deeper into the warehouse. There's is a... I can't really decide if the smell if good or bad. It's both actually. There's blood for sure but also... like something had been left rotten here. Suddenly, someone shoots at me multiple times with wooden bullets. I fall on the ground, groaning in pain. A man approaches me and I can finally see the face of my attacker. Logan Fell...

- I have tons of these wood bullets, so nothing funky, tells me, Logan, circling around me and holding a gun, probably loaded with wooden bullets.

- You don't wanna do this, trust me, he holds the gun up to me and shoots again making me scream out of pain again.

- That's what you get, he threats me.

- For what? I ask.

- You made me like this, he tells me, crouching in front of me.

- I killed you. I didn't turn you, I say taking a wooden bullet off my chest. Logan takes one of the bullet I took off of my body and examines it.

- See, I know what you, your brother and your sister are, he says mentioning Stefan and Gillian. Of course, he doesn't know that Gillian is my niece... And it's better like that. I've been watching the three of you. I knew you'd show up here and I'm glad you did, because I have some questions.

- Me first, I say, taking another bullet out. Who turned you?

- How should I know? questions, Logan, his face close to mine. Last thing I remember is, I'm about to stake your brother and then you grabbed me. That's it! Until I wake up in the ground behind a used car dealership on highway 4. Somebody buried me.

- It happens, I tell him, taking another bullet out of my leg. Ow.

- You bite me. It had to be you.

- You have to have vampire blood in your system when you die. I didn't do that. Some other vampire found you, gave you their blood, I tell him falling back on the ground, groaning and feeling dizzy. Who? That's what I wanna know.

- Dude, it's not like the welcome wagon was waiting with a bundt cake and a handbook. It's been a learn as you go process. You know, one minute, I'm a small town on the rise news guy and next thing I know, I can't get into my house, because my foot won't go through the door, he screams at my face madly.

- You have to be invited in, I explain him while sitting up and taking another bullet out of my body.

- I know. I live alone, complains, the man.

- Ah, I chuckle softly, that sucks.

- So now, I am at the Ramada, watching pay per view all day, eating everything in sight, including housekeeping.

- It could be worse.

- All I can think about is blood and killing people. I can't stop killing people. I keep killing, he laughs miniacally, and I like it. I'm conflicted.

- Welcome to the club. I say but frown suddenly. Wait a minute. Cops only found one body.

- I left one. I was tired. But I've been hiding the rest of bodies. They're right back there, Logan points to the bodies with his gun. I turn my face and look over to the back of the room.

- You're kidding, I whisper as I stare at the humans stack.

- They're just piling up!

Gillian's P.O.V.

After staying alone for twenty good minutes, I heard that the career fair is happening today so I went to look at it. It is in full swing right now. I see Sheriff Forbes walking into the main room in full uniform. She's talking with the mayor. They both look worried. They must be talking about this or those vampires running in town. I really wonder who else is here? I frown and look away when I remark Tyler standing in front of the table next to me. He is flipping through some sketches in a giant notebook. I sigh and walk up to him after grabbing a brochure. I look through a notebook beside his until he remarks me.

- Hey Gi, he greets me, smiling while turning his head to look at me.

- Hi, I simply answer him, still looking through the notebook.

- I didn't know you would come to the career fair, he says surprise. I didn't see you today.

- Why you wanted to ask me something? I said a bit harsh. Tyler stares at me with a confused frown before awkwardly smiling.

- Did I do something wrong? he questions, lost.

- Did, no. Said, maybe. He frowns and crosses his arms over his chest, telling me to keep going. I sigh and turn to face fully Tyler. Let's say, I am not the kind of girl who likes to be used. If you just wanted to get closer to me to only bang me well, sorry, it's not gonna happen. I'm not one of those girls.

- Who told you that?

- So it's true? I say a bit loud making few faces looking at us. Tyler turns back to the notebook and flips some sketches.

- No, no, it's not. I don't know where you heard it but it's not.

- Doesn't matter where I heard it. I just wanted you to know that if you used me to have a one time thing, well, just go to some other girls who would be more than happy to help you.

- I don't want them, he says grabbing firmly my hand, saying his last word a bit more louder. I look straight in his eyes. I'm sorry if you heard whatever you heard and I'm sorry if I made you think that's what I wanted.

- So, why did you say it to Matt earlier while playing basketball? I ask him upset. Tyler frowns confused and surprised.

- You were there? he questions, sounding a bit nervous.

- Yes, I was there Tyler. I came to school for... whatever and I saw you playing so I wanted to come and say hi to the both of you when I heard your discussion, He was about to protest but I stopped him. I was happy when you said you kinda like me because I kinda do too, but you ruined everything by saying this.

- I didn't mean to hurt you.

- Well, you did, I see Jeremy coming towards us and looking through the notebook. Tyler turns around after rolling his eyes.

- What do you want? asks, Tyler with an angry tone. I frown to his sudden change of mood.

- Hey. Uh, I'm just surprised to see you here. Art usually implies culture and culture implies, well, not you, jokes, Jeremy.

- Go to hell, responds, Tyler to Jeremy before looking down at me and walking away. Jer smirks. I walk to stand in front of Jeremy, lightly shaking my head.

- You're okay? he asks me.

- Yeah, I guess, I answer him while looking at the drawing and remarking that it is Tyler's drawing. Oh my god, Jeremy looks at the drawing too and sees Tyler's name on it. The Gilbert boy seems as surprised as I am. I put the drawing back down before turning around and spotting my father, not too far away from me, talking with Elena.

Damon's P.O.V.

I am still in the warehouse with Logan Fell who is talking and asking me questions about being a vampire. I swear that it looks like it has been hours that I have been stuck here. I kind of lost track of time. He is so annoying with all his questions, his gun that he points at me every minute and those wooden bullets... I just want to break his neck and walk away.

- Why am I so overly emotional? All I can think about is my ex-girlfriend. I wanna be with her and bite her and stuff, he tells and questions me with confuseness.

- Well, you probably love her. Anything you felt before will be magnified now. You're gonna have to learn how to control that, I answer, explaining him.

- What about walking in the sun? I'm a morning person. You can walk in the sun which, by the way, is pretty cool, I flex my hand with the daylight ring on it and hide it with my other hand. The council will never suspect you. That's not in the journals.

- The journals? I ask, confused. What journal is he talking about? Why didn't Sheriff Forbes talked to me about them?

- Yeah, the founding fathers, they passed down journals to their kids. Come on man, you gotta tell me. How can you walk around in the sun? insists, Logan.

- Who turned you? I ask, calmly, ignoring his question about the daylight ring.

- How do you walk in the sun? he questions back and again, angrily, screaming in the whole warehouse.

- Who turned you? I ask back, louder. If the both of us are that stubborn, we are not going to walk out of here soon...

- You know, I've been really nice so far but I will kill you, Logan stands up and points the gun at me.

- Then, you'll never know, I tell him standing up as well, challenging the man. You're not answering my question.

- You first! yells madly, Logan Fell.

- It seems we're at a bit of an impasse then, doesn't it?

- I have things to do, people to kill. Guess I'll be needing a little head start, Logan shoots at me a couple of times, making me groan of pain and falling on the ground again. He exits the warehouse letting me here, in pain and alone.

Gillian's P.O.V.

I keep looking at all the career brochures that are exposed even though I know them perfectly. I can't stop thinking about Tyler and what happened and what he said. Why is he like that? Has he been always that moody? He was so angry with Jeremy. Maybe that was because of what happened between them and Vicki? I keep looking at some brochures until getting tired of it and walking to the hallway where a lot of students are with some teachers. On my right, I see Mr. Saltzman laughing with some of the girls of my class that are totally in love with him. I roll my eyes and look on my left. I am hallucinating, right? I can't believe it... Logan Fell is standing, alive, only few meters away from me. How can... it's impossible. Uncle Damon killed him the night Vicki got transformed. I stare at him with a confused and angry glare as the man is talking and laughing with people. So, that means that he is the vampire we are looking for... I was so lost into my thought and staring at the man, that I didn't remark my father joining my sides.

- Lilou? Is everything okay? questions, my father, speaking with worry. I don't move and keep looking at Logan with a angry frown.

- Stefan, what's going on? asks, Elena, coming up behind us. Suddenly, Logan turns his head and spots us. He apologizes to the people he is talking with before approaching us as well. Oh come on... Jenna joined us too.

- Jenna, are you dodging me? questions, Logan, smiling to Elena and Jeremy's aunt.

- It's a form of self-preservation, she responds with hatred in her voice.

- Um, Elena, why don't you and Jenna go somewhere else? suggests, my dad to the brunette. She nods, understanding what is happening before grabbing her aunt's forearm and puliing her away. They both leave and Logan looks at the both of us.

- What are you doing here? I ask him, frowning madly.

- You know, your brother asked me the same thing. In fact, why don't we just skip past all that who turned me stuff and get the answer that I want? How can I turn into a day walker? tells and asks, Logan, looking seriously at us.

- Damon, Gillian and I are the only three that I know of, replies, my father with a cold tone.

- But you're all very cagey on the how, which tells me that there is a way. You know, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm quite the celebrity in this town. It would be very, very easy for me to expose you. Beginning by you, he says looking and pointing at me with an evil smirk. Not again... I look up at my father, my angry stare changing into a nervous one.

- You wanna know how you can walk around in the sun? asks, dad to Logan, walking one step in front as he pulls me behind him.

- I do, responds, Logan, smirking.

- You can't. Don't you ever threat my sister again, threats and warns, my father, frowning at the man with dark eyes. I never heard such darkness in his voice before. Dad grabs my hand firmly and we walk passed Logan Fell. We exit the school before dad takes his phone out of his pocket to call someone. Gillian, I want you to stay away from Logan and to stay in a crowd. We never know what can happen. He might know more than we think. But I also want you to look out for him, if he does anything to anybody, contact me with your phone or Damon, I nod and he dials Uncle Damon's number. I listen to their conversation.

- Logan Fell is a vampire and when I find him again, I'm gonna destroy him limb by limb, tells, my uncle, groaning lightly upset. I hear the door behind us getting opened and closed. Dad and I turn around to look at who it is and we see Elena.

- What happened? Are you ok? questions, dad to his brother over the phone.

- No, I'm not ok. I was ambushed. I was shot. Now, I'm vengeful. Just got to find him, responds, dad's brother with madness.

- Well, there's no need. He's here at the school. He even threatened Gillian, replies, my father, saying his last sentence with rage building up, causing him to pace around.

- You're kidding me! screams, Damon over the phone, mad to the fact that Logan Fell threat me. Wait, why the hell is he there?

- He's working the crowd.

- Well, I'll be right there, dad hangs up and we both turn to Elena who has her arms crossed over her chest.

- So. Anything you'd like to share? She asks, frowning.

- I'm going to do what I do best with you two, leaving, I say and reenter the school letting the two ex-lovers alone.

I walk along the halls, looking out for Logan to watch if he doesn't do anything wrong. I can't believe he is here, I mean, how can he walk in a crowd without ripping people apart? It must be hard for him right now if he's a beginner in this life. The supernatural world isn't for everyone... I turn around the corner to change the hall until seeing Tyler and Jeremy together arguing. What is happening between them again? Jeremy pushes Tyler madly and the two of them start fighting. I run to them and try to seperate the two boys but they are stronger than me. I see Mr. Saltzman and the Mayor rushing towards us before they seperate them by force.

- You three, follow me, says, the Mayor pointing at us three. I look at him with wide eyes and point myself with my finger.

- Me too, why? I didn't do anything. I tried to seperate them, I explain to the Mayor, frowning confused.

- Dad, she didn't do anything, says, Tyler. Wait, so the Mayor of Mystic Falls is Tyler's father...

- Yes, you too, come on, replies, sternly the man. Jeremy, Tyler and I walk outside, followed by the Mayor. This is so wrong. The three of us face Mayor Lockwood who is frowning madly. None of us talk. Ok, let's get this out of your system. Go ahead. Fight, I look at the Mayor, not getting him. What is wrong with him? Does every guys in the Lockwood family is that moody?

- You want us to what? questions, Jeremy, speaking and frowning with confuseness.

- I'm not gonna fight him, dad, tells, Tyler looking a bit ashamed at his father.

- I don't think so, sir, Jeremy attempts to leave, but Mayor Lockwood blocks his way and pushes him back to Tyler and I.

- You don't fight in there like pansies. You take it outside, fight your battles like men, and move on. Best lesson my dad taught me. So let's settle it. Fight, he says his last sentence louder. I stare at the man with disbelief when I remark and hear Mr. Saltzman walking out the back entrance and spotting us four.

- Come on, dad, says, Tyler, trying to cool down his father.

- That's not gonna happen, argues, Jeremy, shaking his head.

- I said fight! he screams at the three of us which got us to back away scared and surprised. Tyler tries to leave but his father pushes him back into Jeremy and I.

- What is wrong with you, sir? What kind of a Mayor are you? I don't know what you're dad taught you but he was a total beast! Who encourage people to fight? You're an adult, you're supposed to stop kids from fighting, not encouraged them, I ask and tell him getting mad of the situation. He looks down at me, frowning and breathing heavily. Suddenly, he slaps my cheek so quickly and hardly that it made me spin on myself. I didn't even processed of what was happening... I put my hand on my cheek, shocked and look at him not believing what he just did.

- Dad! screams, Tyler, ready to fight his father but, instead, Mr. Saltzman approaches us.

- Whoa. What's going on out here? questions, my history teacher.

- Just letting these three kids work it out. We're good here. Go back inside, replies, the Mayor, acting like nothing happened.

- I don't wanna go back inside. What I want is an answer to my question. What's going on out here? questions again, Mr. Saltzman.

- Who do you think you're talking to? Do I look like a student? questions madly the Mayor to the teacher. I feel someone grabbing my hand and interlocking his fingers with mines. I look at my left to see Tyler.

- No. You look like a full grown alpha male douchebag, Jeremy and I smirk while Tyler looks shocked that Alaric had the guts to say such a thing to his father.

- You don't talk to me like that. I can have your job like this, he says, snapping his fingers and threatening the teacher.

- Ah, you do that. Then, it will be you and me in this parking lot, working things out. You cool with that? Mayor Lockwood looks perplexed to my teacher's comment. Tyler's dad looks back at the three of us and scoffs before walking back inside the school by the back entrance. I exchange glance with the teacher and faintly nods at him, to thank him. The teacher nods before Tyler pulls me and leads me away from here. Jeremy follows us behind still smirking.

Stefan's P.O.V.

After I heard Matt saying that Caroline went into Logan's car, I vamp-speed to tracked his car. I need to find him before he does anything to Caroline. We can't have another vampire in town... I found it and see him stopping at an intersection. I quickly vamp-speed to his car and pull roughly Logan out of the engine, throwing him to the pavement. Logan gets up when Damon comes out of the woods, shooting wooden bullets at him, who falls back to the pavement.

- Payback's a bitch, isn't it? jokes, my brother proud of himself. Get her out of here, I nod and go to the passenger side before retrieving Caroline's body. She's still unconscious which is good. No need to expain or compel her like that. Damon and I hear Sheriff Forbe's voice from Logan's phone. Our eyes meet. Damon jogs over the car and picks up Logan's phone. Get her to her home, I nod and vamp-speed to Caroline's house, letting him handle it.

Damon's P.O.V.

I hang up the phone and open Logan's trunk to grab a tire iron that is resting inside it.

- Gonna try this one more time, I swing the tire iron, indicating that I am about to harm him, hoping that I am scaring him as well. Who turned you?

- I told you I don't know, he responds, scared.

- This tire iron here could take your head clean off, I say, examining it. I hold the tire iron in a swinging position, making Logan flinches, scared, Is that your final answer? I ask louder and madly.

- How can you side with them?

- I don't side with anyone. You pissed me off. I heard that you threatened my sister. I want you dead now. So, who turned you? I repeat, losing my patient.

- I don't know! he screams this time.

- Oh, well. You're screwed, I start to swing the tire iron towards Logan's head.

- Wait, wait! I do know.

- You're lying.

- You think you're the only one who wants to get in that tomb underneath the old church? I stop and frown lightly. How does he know abou it? Was it written in one of the journals?

- If you're lying to me, I will end you.

- I am not lying. There is another way to break the spell. We can help you. Meet me at the old church, sirens from police cars are heard in the distance. I look up quickly up, seeing the cars approaching us quickly. I look back down to Logan.

- Take me down. Make it look real. Make it look real! I tell him.

Logan throws me against his car and vamp-speeds off by the woods. The police cars park at some distance and Sheriff Forbes gets out of her car before running to help me.

- Where is she? she asks about her daughter with concerned.

- She's ok. My brother's taken her home. I'm sorry, Sheriff. I just wasn't strong enough, I apologize, lying to the woman.

Stefan's P.O.V.

After letting Caroline at her home, in her bedroom, I vamp-speed back at school. I enter the building and stand at the end of a hallway, looking over at Elena. I am leaning against the lockers, my arms crossed over my chest. She is speaking to a friend and tells her bye when she sees me. She quickly walks over at me, replacing a lock of hair behind her ear.

- Caroline? she asks, concerned for her blonde friend.

- She's ok. I took her home. She was shaken up. But all she knows is Logan attacked her. Nothing else, I answer seriously, faintly nodding.

- Where's Logan? she asks, frowning lightly.

- Damon's dealing with him.

- As in...? I nod.

- You saw what happened tonight, right? Elena touches my arm to soothe me but I cross my arms over my chest making her retracting her hand. I mean, you understand why we can't be together? You see it?

- Yeah, I'm starting to see a lot of things, Stefan, I lightly look away. Come on. I'll, uh, I'll give you a ride.

- Uh, I can't get home. And plus, Gillian is probably waiting for me somewhere.

- I know. Call her and tell her to join us here so I can drive you both home.

- All right. That'd be nice, I smile at the brunette before texting my daughter. Gillian texts me back that she's with some friends so she'll get home later. I tell Elena that we can go so we walk to her car and she drives me back to the boarding house.

Gillian's P.O.V.

After responding to my father's text, which was kinda a lie, Tyler walked to the front on the school, near a pinic table and sits on it. He never leaved my hand until we reached that table. I can't imagine what it's like to be at home with a father like his. I look at him playing with his hands. I wait for him to say something. I sigh and look at the sky, full of stars. I spot the full moon in the middle of it.

- I'm sorry for my dad slapping your cheek, he apologizes, still playing with my fingers.

- Is everyone like that in your family? I question, puting my free hand on my hip.

- Look, if it has something with what I said earlier to Matt, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean what I said. I just said it because that's what I am famous for, he says quiet loudly. I don't respond and look away. But, I actually really appreciate you, my eyes look straight down to meet Tyler's eyes. I'm sorry if I hurt you. It wasn't my attention, I nod and look down at the grass.

- You did hurt my feelings, but your dad hurt me more, he nods when I see he was about to put his hand on my cheek, the one his father slapped. But before he could do it, Jeremy comes walking towards us.

- Hey, says, Jer, smiling. I smile back at him while Tyler turns around to face the Gilbert boy.

- What do you want? asks, Tyler with annoyment. There, we go again, Tyler stands up right in front of Jeremy, frowning madly.

- I don't know. I, uh, I thought that was weird with your dad, what he did. Is he like that all the time? Is that... Is that what you gotta go through? Man, I... I get it. I get it, Tyler hits Jeremy hardly in the nose, causing the boy to almost fall on the ground. Blood is dripping from his noze. That is not good... I turn kinda around, covering my nose with my hair and feeling my face transforming, What's your problem? asks, Elena's brother, madly and confused.

- Tyler! I scream at the boy, frowning upset at him. I don't know why I stay. I can smell the blood dripping Jer's nose, but still I don't go.

- Look, I don't need your pity, replies, Tyler to Jeremy.

- Seriously, you don't have to be like this. You don't, tells, Jeremy, walking away madly. I start to feel a bit less stressful.

- What is your problem Tyler? The boy turns to me and looks down at me with a frown. You know, the more time I spend with you, the more I think you are just like your father, I tell him before running to Jeremy's direction. I hear Tyler whining madly before quicking into something on the ground.

- I don't know, ok? I don't know, I hear him whispering, almost to himself.

I run toward the front of the school and look out to check if someone is here. I vamp-speed to the boarding house, feeling... I don't really know how to explain what I am feeling right now but I guess it's a mix between pain of what happened with Tyler, his dad and all, sadness because I am so disappointed by him, by his violence, by his swinging moody, by so many other things, and angriness, with all that happened since we arrived here in Mystic Falls. I discovered things I would have prefered not to know and met people I would have loved not to meet. Jer is a good guy and I get that they don't get along because of their past with Vicki, but that doesn't give Tyler the right to punch him. And his dad who slapped me across the face... I can't believe he lives with this man, they are so different in many points.

I arrive to the boarding house, walking because I decided to walk a bit. All I want right now is my dad. Elena's car is parked in front of the boarding house. I open the front door, ready to scream for my dad to tell him that I'm back but I see him kissing Elena and going upstairs, hands in hands. Amazing... I better go somewhere else for tonight. I close the door and walk back to the road. Where am I supposed to go, now? I take a deep breath in and out before calling my uncle. Come on, come on... Great, he doesn't answer. I dial Jeremy's number and call him.

- Gillian? Why are you calling me so late? he asks, sounding half asleep.

- Do you have a room fo me? I'm kinda... alone and... in the street for tonight.

- Yeah sure come, but climb up by my window when you come, because Jenna is already asleep. I'll let it open, I thank him and vamp-speed to his house. I wait a little bit before entering his room, climbing up like he told me. He tells me to come lay down on his bed and to sleep, which I accept even though I know I won't sleep much.

Alaric Saltzman P.O.V.

After the career fair ended, I followed this weird guy, Logan Fell. The news guy that is or was missing for weeks now. Something is off by him coming back like that. I can tell. I grabbed my stuff and a stake and tracked him to a warehouse. I take the stake and exit my car, waiting for him to come outside. After several minutes, Logan exits the warehouse and walks to his car. I see him turning around after hearing a noise behind him so I take the opportunity to walk to him. He turns around again to face me and I block his way.

- Who are you? he asks me confused.

- A friend of Jenna's, I answer, smiling fakely.

- Jenna sent you?

- No, I came on my own, I answer him calmly but with some angriness.

- Ah, I get it. Well, buddy, I know you think this makes you brave. But actually it makes you pretty stupid, replies, Logan, smirking evily.

- Either way, here I am.

- What do you want?

- Jenna is a good person. She deserves the best. I'm here to make sure she gets it, I tell him, madly.

- Was that supposed to be a threat? Couldn't you throw a punch? Maybe provoke me a little?

- I'm not a violent guy by design.

- Well, you're not a very smart one, either, Logan turns his back to me and I slowly take out the stake that I hide into my sleeve. 'Cause you have no idea who you're talking to. Logan starts to vamp out. He turns around and goes to attack me. I knew Logan was a vampire and I was expecting to be attacked. I stake him right in the heart and on time, making him fall on the ground, dead. I look at his dead body and get quickly away from here before someone sees me.

Stefan's P.O.V.

After Elena brought me back at the boarding house... I don't know what happened but it was amazing. We got carried by our emotions and it led us to my room, having for the both of us our first time together. I'm holding Elena in my arms and stroking her hair gently, forgetting everything that happened. I'm glad that she isn't afraid of what I am and that she is accepting me despite it. Elena is wearing my shirt and is looking around the room.

- I've never been in your room before, she tells me, smiling.

- Hm, well, it hasn't changed much over the years, I answer her smiling as well.

- Do you leave everything here when you come and go?

- It's the only place that... that has remained constant. This room holds every memory that I've ever thought was important enough to hold on to.

She smiles and snuggles her head into my chest. I kiss her forehead, still smiling and stroking her hair and cheek gently. She looks up at me and kisses me.

- Are you thirsty or anything?

- A little. You? Uh... I laugh to her comment.

- I'm fine. Let me get you something to drink, ok? She nods, her smile not leaving her beautiful face. I kiss her one more time before going downstairs to get her a glass of water. When I come back to my bedroom, she was gone. I look around worried, calling her as well. The necklace is on Katherine's picture. Oh no... I put some clothes on and go outside looking for her.

Damon's P.O.V.

I walked to the old church and wait for Logan to arrive. My phone rings. It's Gillian. I'll call her back. I keep waiting until Sheriff Forbes calls me.

- Hello, I answer.

- I just wanted to say thank you. I don't know how you did it.

- Um, not following.

- We found Logan's body up by the old Fell warehouse. He has been disposed of. He was hoarding victims, innocent victims.

- What? I ask surprised. not surprised by the fact that the warehouse was hiding the bodies, I knew that already. I am surprised by the fact that Logan Fell has been staked. Who could have done it?

- This town owes you so much. So do I, Sheriff Forbes hangs up, letting me shocked by the news I just learned.

Elena's P.O.V.

I'm driving down on a deserted road, crying. Why did she look some much like me? I mean, I know Stefan and Damon talked few times about her but I never imagine her looking so much like me. I was so lost in my thought that I remarked someone in the middle of the road too late. I didn't have time to slam the brakes that the person hits my windshield. I turn the steerwheel, causing the car to flip in the air and landing on the top of the engine. I'm stuck in my seat. I look outside where the man is laying on the ground. Impossible... No... It slowly gets back up on its feet and starts to approach me. No, No, No! I begin to scream, scared, even though I know nobody will hear me. I try to get my seatbelt off.
