Cramped, pushed up against what felt like a million other people, but was actually more towards twenty soldiers lining the perimeter, as they all piled into the truck. Yoongi's uneasiness was growing as he had not the slightest clue as to what their mission actually was. But nevertheless his camera stayed close to him, ready to capture the world that he saw, the world that he knew.

A few minutes down the road, Hoseok, who was seated near the back of the truck as Yoongi was near the front, cleared his throat, "Alright soldiers, our mission today is a simple one but that doesn't mean that there's any room for error. We're going to plant flags around potential landmines in Pohang, this is an overnight mission due to the distance we need to travel but I expect that won't be an issue. The K9 squad will travel in the truck behind us and help sniff out the bombs. Everyone understand?"

A resounding "Rodger." Sounded through the vehicle. And the moment it did Hoseok's face broke out into a lively smile, one that claims the sky right after a dark storm had swept through it.

Yoongi sighed, this was going to be a long trip wasn't it-

"Hyung! Wow that's such a relief it's not going to be that bad, Pohang is actually a really pretty place, I've been there once before with Jimin!" an excited Jungkook who had moved to sit by Yoongi explained.

Yoongi normally wouldn't care for company, but he supposed he could make an exception for his new friend, "Hey there Kookie, ah sorry about early I just...wasn't feeling to well I guess..." He spoke hesitantly, receiving a small smile and nod from the younger before clearing his throat, "But I've never been to Pohang before. And if you say it's pretty than it must be good for photos yeah?" the boy spoke, motioning to his camera, "Wait why are you back here? Your in charge of transportation right? You supposed to be driving, no?"

Jungkook's eyes grew wide, "Hyung! Do you know how borning it is up front?! I'll drive on the way back, but the guy in my team is taking the wheel on the way there." He spoke in a dramatic voice before he smiled, "Aww hyung, Jiminie and Taehyungie must be rubbing off on you they're the only ones who calls me Kookie, well them and the one who started that nickname Hobi-"

"Did I hear my name?" a warm voice came from behind Yoongi, watching as Hoseok sat down next to him, ruffling Jungkook's hair with the brightest of smiles as Jungkook giggled, "Hey Hobi hyung! Oh you've met Yoongi hyung before right?"

Hoseok looked over as the two of them caught eyes for the slightest of seconds, and time seemed to stop before Hoseok looked back towards Jungkook, "Y-yeah, we've met. I didn't know you two were already close!" He turned back to Yoongi who was trying more than necessary to avoid the youngers eyes, "Did you meet Jimin and Taehyung yet?"

Yoongi looked down at his camera, looking through the pictures he'd gotten the previous night, "Yeah, I met them."

Hoseok clasped his hands together, causing Yoongi to look up in surprise at the boys eyes that were so bright, happy. "That's great! Don't worry the four of us are really close, we'll take you under our wing hyung," Jungkook nodded excitedly in front of them before Hoseok's eyes softened, his voice a little quieter, "We'll protect you."

And Yoongi didn't know whether he was imagining the increase in temperature or if it was just warm enough to make his cheeks and ears burn from the intensity of the boys gaze.

Jungkook interrupted their moment, chiming in with a "So Yoongi hyung, where are you from?"

Finally after a few hours, the truck stopped and everyone was able to shuffle out. The ride wasn't as bad as Yoongi had first thought, it was nice actually having people as interested as Hoseok and Taehyung were in him, not the stories he'd written but his own story, it was nice.

But what was even nicer was the warm beach breeze wrapping around Yoongi as he hopped out of the vehicle. The sun's gaze upon them with a gentle kind of intensity as he looked out beyond the small green pasture they had stopped in, beyond the sand filled beaches towards the sea, glistening under the yellow blue filled sky.

Another truck stopped beside the vehicle they had just ridden in, this one a bit noisier as at least ten dogs jumped out as soon as the doors opened. An energetic Taehyung trailing behind, and a german shepard who seemed to be a little smaller than the rest practically glued itself to his side. When he saw the older he offered Yoongi a wave, which he mirrored with a small smile.

A hand rested on Yoongi's shoulder, "My team is going to check for the mines and lead the mission, I can't be with you but you can take as many pictures as you want, just don't wander too far, we'll set up camp here tonight, clear?"

Yoongi looked toward the man who stood next to him, the familiar aura coming off in waves, as he turned, eyebrow raised with a playful smirk before Hoseok corrected himself, "Sorry, not clear my bad, is that alright?"

The older couldn't help but to let a giggle escape him as Hoseok's embarrassed cheeks began to glow a red tint when Yoongi smiled, "Sure, no promises though."

Now it was Hoseok's turn to laugh, the light melody filling the air, "How did I know you'd say that?"

Yoongi smiled, watching how the sun's light reflected off of the boys light brown hair as he challenged him, "I don't know, how did you know Hoseok-ah?"

The feather light grin that he received was nothing compared to the gentle eyes that painted the rest of the boy's face when he spoke, "I guess that's something only time will tell huh?"

Yoongi smirked, "I guess you're right-"

"Jung Hoseok! We need-"

"Looks like I gotta go, Yoongi I'm serious, don't do anything stupid."

"No promises" The boy replied with a slight smirk, receiving a warm kind of smile from the younger as he ran off towards the others.

Yoongi wondered how he could have such a casual conversation with someone he had just met, he felt like Hoseok and him had been friends for years, yet they had met just the other day. Shaking himself from these thoughts he walked around the area, nothing but plans of grass, the sea and the sun for seemingly miles, he wondered if the war had really existed, or if it had all been one big nightmare. The calm breeze that danced over the land seemed to be untouched by the cruelty of man.

With a deep sigh he took in his surroundings, moving the camera up to his eyes as he saw the world, his world, in his own way. Snapping picture after picture he began to wander away from the group of soldiers and dogs who were signaling potential danger by sticking hundreds of flags into the ground.

He was able to wander down to the sea, still in sight of the soldiers, he could almost see the eye that Hoseok had trained on him as Yoongi gazed through his lens, but somehow he couldn't help but notice his lens traveling back to the soldiers, for a split second he thought there was something wrong with his camera, how the small contraption continued to search for deep brown eyes that glisten deeper than the sun and ocean laid out in front of him.

Shaking his thoughts away Yoongi looked out to the water, beyond the horizon as he reminded himself why he was there, he was saving lives and saving hearts from the heartache that follows in war's path.

Taking a deep breath he decided to allow himself to wander furter, walking down the beaches sandy shore he decided he'd had enough pictures of the soldiers, nothing necessarily interesting anyway so why not take a stroll and take the photos that he wanted to take.

But without realizing it, a couple hundred pictures later and the sun bad begun to touch the water's edge. Yoongi turned and looked towards the direction he came, no soldiers in sight but he was relieved to find the light trail of smoke filling the air. A sign that they'd started to set up for the night.

"Damn how far did I walk?" Yoongi asked as he started to make his way back, a long sigh as the water began to splash over his toes, realizing the high tide was coming in the boy quickly moved off the sand and onto the grassy plane.

He kept walking, letting his mind wander and taking a few pictures of the sunset before-

"STOP!"

Surprise and shock jolted through Yoongi's body, freezing him in space as he turned from his camera to the direction of the voice, finding a frantic Hoseok a few feet away from him, his hand outstretched towards Yoongi and a worried look on his features.

Hoseok took a few steps towards Yoongi, "Don't move. Look at where your standing."

Yoongi's eyes grew wide as he slowly looked down, fear suddenly running through his veins as he realized the gravity of the situation, there was no flag marker but the two of them were still pretty far out from their temporary base.

The older failed to hide his tremble filled voice, "W-what do I do-Hoseok if I move this mine is going to explode I can't-Oh my god-"

"Shh hey, hyung look at me." Hoseok spoke, his voice calm and soothing, the eye of a raging storm, "You're going to be alright, breathe." The younger spoke, and Yoongi watched him, trying to calm his own shaking hands as Hoseok walked towards him, confused before shaking his head, "Wait no Hoseok don't-"

But before he could finish his sentence Hoseok was right up next to him, their bodies pressed together and his feet practically on top of Yoongi's, the older found it difficult to ignore the heat that immediately rushed to his cheeks and ears, his throat caught as their faces came so close A million and one thoughts raced in his mind all centering around one thing, Hoseok.

"Okay, you can move now." Hoseok spoke, a gentle smile resting on his lips.

Yoongi couldn't stop his heart from pounding in his chest, "No. No Hoseok I'm not doing that to you."

"Yes you are, it's okay hyung I said I would protect you. And I meant it." A warm voice echoed by Yoongi's ear, and the older couldn't control it, latching his arms around the younger as if anchoring them both together as he buried his face in Hoseok's shoulder, "No. No not like this. Not like this Hoseok."

Hoseok wrapped his arms around the younger, "I don't think the universe listens to us that often, or even that well. But for you? It seems like the stars themselves would rearrange."

And just like that, Hoseok tumbled backwards, dragging Yoongi along with him, the older didn't have time to react as his impact to the ground was softened by the boy he was laced so tightly together with. His confusion quickly wore off however, after seeing Hoseok's smug smile, and the lack of explosion that had happened after they'd moved.

Yoongi laid on top of Hoseok, his lips down casted in a frown as his brows knitted together, "Hoseok. What the fuc-"

"Hyung do you know how worried we were? How worried I was? I told you not to wander off too far and look you almost walked yourself into the next providence. What if that had been a real landmine? We hadn't gotten this far with the flags you don't know what could be hiding in these grasses." His smug face gone and in its place was one that shinned more with concern than anything.

The older just grumbled, "That doesn't give you the right to just fucking go and do that." Before landing a weak punch to the youngers chest, causing him to huff in pain.

"I-I deserved that. But still, please be careful hyung." The boy spoke, his eyes searching for confirmation in the olders.

Yoongi looked away, "Aish, fine. Alright fine I'll be more careful but the next time you do something like that I'm out." causing the younger to laugh as Yoongi, climbed off of Hoseok.

"We should start heading back then, were you able to get some good photos?" Hoseok asked, standing to join Yoongi with a gentle smile as the two walked back, gazing at the gallery of Yoongi's world he had hidden in his camera along the way.
