"But why would she want the cure?" I ask him. Ethan leaned on Olivia's desk crossing his arms "probably to use it against us"
"Well you said there were two right? Where's the other one?" "I don't know. I didn't hear her say anything about where it is"
"Oh no" Olivia mutters "how did she even about it?"
"Olivia what is it?" "I think I might know where the other cure is. But we need to go to your house bella"
I haven't been there since I turn my humanity off. Just walking in the door made me want to turn back immediately. But I stayed and Olivia walked to my dads work room
"Why would it be in here?" Ethan followed behind me
"One day when I came over to return some book I caught him making it. He had been searching for years trying to get all the ingredients to do the spell but unlike me he didn't have everything he needed till you guys got here. He was making it for you"
All this time I blamed him for what he did when he was trying to help me

"He put a cloaking spell on it but he never told me where it was. I'm sure he hid it in a hard to fine place but" "We just have to find it before she does" I say
"In the meantime..." Ethan starts to dial numbers in his phone. He puts the phone up to his ear

Brie's POV
We both approach the door. I look over at Grayson and say "Remind me why I'm here again" "because I'm not doing this alone"
Just being in front of the door felt creepy
What if Melissa or Michael was there?
"What if they're in there?" I say. He puts his ear to the door "I don't hear anything"
He juggles the door knob and it opens
He sticks his foot in the door way to see if it was free to go inside and we step in
"Look around here. I'll go look in the rooms" I nod and start to search
Nothing
After 15 minutes I heard someone walking outside
Their footsteps getting closer and closer to the door
"Grayson?" No reply
I quickly look in different rooms I could find him
I hear the door knob shift and the door open
"Grayson!" I slightly whisper
I feel myself get pulled into a room and a hand gets put over my mouth

We listen
The footsteps walk into a room and back out
The person stops right next to our door and we practically stop breathing
The person continues to walk down the hallway and walk out the door
We get out of the room "she took it" I look at him "the cure was in that room. It's gone"
Grayson's POV
I make it home to meet Ethan but when I get there the house was empty
I started to walk to the kitchen when I heard the doorbell ring
I walk to the door and am immediately hugged by a heavy body
James
He taps my back "gray" "James" I was slightly surprised
"What are you doing here?" "Really. That's the first thing you ask me after 3 years? No "hey James how've you been? How's Jenny? How was you last year of college?" "
I had totally forgot we made plans for him and Jenny to come over. Like he said we haven't seen each other in a while but with everything that's happened it doesn't feel like that long ago
"Sorry. How've you been?" "Great thanks for asking. Look I'm sorry about your parents" he steps closer and puts his hand on my shoulder. I nod "it's fine. We said our goodbyes and we are at peace with it all now"
I see Jenny stumble behind him carrying two humongous suit cases "yeah. Thanks for the help"
"Oh my god I totally forgot. Here" he takes the bags from him and he brings them to the guess room
"So Jenny how've you been?" I ask as she catches her breath from carrying the bags. "Same old. Except that I've had the flu for two weeks. I know I know human problems you can't understand. How about you?" "Could be better"
"What's up?" I see James come back into the room. "I'll fill you in later. Right now I have to call my brother and see why he isn't here"
I dial his number and it rings
"Hello?"
"Where are you?"
"Sorry. Sale on açaí bowls. Couldn't miss out. I'll be there in a second"
"Good because James and Jenny are here"
"Oh god"
The call ends and Isabella walks in
Isabella's POV
I walk in to see Jenny, James and Grayson standing in the living room
"Hey" I say to them and they both give me mini hugs
Jenny lets go and looks at my hair "oh my god I love your hair" "thanks" I smile. "So how's college?" She asked me. "Perfect. I should be dying any day now"
She laughs "well at least you've got Grayson here to keep you company"
"Yeah I do"
"That reminds me. Me and James were just taking about going on a double date with you guys tonight. I could be so much fun and we could all catch up"
"Why us?" "It's called double date for a reason. Double couples. Double dates"
I look at Grayson and he looks down
They thought we were still together
"Actually...we broke up" Grayson says to her
"What? Why?" She says. "Gray you never told me that part" James steps in
"Don't blame him. It's was my fault. I wasn't stable with everything that was happening" "I totally get it" she says to me
I end up helping Jenny unpack by taking things from the car
I walk into the hallway and see Ethan leave his room and start walking in my direction

Tension. Weird tension. We're still in that I know you love me and I love you but we aren't dating stage
I step to my left trying to go around him but he does the same. I step to my right and he goes to his left
He chuckled "here" he puts his hands under my arms, picks me up and moves me to the other side. He smirks then walks away
I turn to bring box back to the room when Jenny is standing outside the door with her arms folded looking at me. Damnit
"So you're with Ethan now?" "No. I mean. I don't know"
"I'm gonna need more than a I don't know" I could tell she was shocked and annoyed. And I couldn't blame her. Ethan's done some terrible things in the past I would be hesitant too if I saw a friend of mine with someone who's hurt me
"I'm sorry but I can't give that to you". She stood there, arms still folded, she shifted her eyes down from my face "where'd you get the necklace?"
I look down at it "Ethan gave it to me" "Ok, just being curious here...what do you see in him? Because all I see is someone who ruins things. And could ruin you"
"There's something about him. A light in the darkness. His actions contradict with his feelings. And yes, he does terrible things but we can't say that we haven't" she looks at the ground for a while
Then she looks up at me "Do you love him?"
"Yes"
"Do you love both of them?"
"Yes"
"Are you in love with both of them?"
I stayed silent
"Loving someone and being in love with someone are two different things. I hope you know that"

I lied in my bed looking at the ceiling
Listening to the rain
I heard a knock at my door and went to open it
I saw him standing with slightly wet hair and a hoodie. The same outfit he wore today
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanna show you something"
I grabbed a jacket and walked out with him
The rain started to clear up as we got closer to nowhere. He took me to a mountain where you could see this big beautiful water fall
"What are we doing here Ethan?"
"Checking out the view" "at midnight?"
He turned to me
"We never got to go on the picnic and I'm making up for it. With this" he looks back the the water
"It's beautiful"
I expected him to say something cheesy like "not as beautiful as you" or "like you" but he didn't. And I liked that
"The world is beautiful. Gray and I would go fishing here everyday when we were little. Gray would wake up my dad at 5 in the morning just to come here and fish"
"Sounds like an enthusiastic kid"
"He was. He still is"
It looked like he was looking directly into the sky. I saw a small smile grow on his face
"What are you doing?" I ask him, curious of what was so funny. "Oh just listening to the universe laughing at me"
I laugh a bit "Ethan that's not true" "ancestor witches said it Bella. I'm pretty sure it's true. I wasn't even supposed to be born. I'm not supposed to be here right now"

He turned to me
"And I couldn't have it any other way"
He starts to lean in and suddenly the rain comes down as if on cue
We look up and the rain then back at each other
We laughed
I watched him laugh getting rain in his face as his smile grew bigger
He would rarely smile with teeth but when he did it was beautiful
He was beautiful
I felt happy. At this very moment I was more happy than I had ever been
"Promise me this is forever"
