A few weeks later
Tegan's pov
During the past few weeks, Cole and I have been in and out of my parents house when Cole isn't at work. Cole and Dad seem to be getting on from what I can see. Whenever they are together, their laughter can be heard.
"Cole what do you and Dad do together?" I asked one evening.
"We just talk," Cole told me.
"About what?"
"Guy stuff,"
"What's guys stuff?" I asked curiously.
"You know like football and that,"
"He hasn't threatened you again has he?" I asked with worry. If that's true then Dad won't be happy about Cole and I getting married.
"No of course not, he likes me now and trusts me," Cole said in a matter of fact way.
"Really?"
"Yup," Cole popped the 'p'. "I have some good news too. I asked your Dad for his blessing on us getting married yesterday and he said we had it," Cole told me with great pride.
"Really?" I asked uncertainly.
"Really," Wow! I wasn't expecting Dad to give us his blessing so quickly, he's only known Cole a few weeks.
"That's amazing! When are we getting married?" I asked excitedly.
"In 6 months,"
"I can't wait,"
"I can't wait either for you to be Mrs Knight," Cole said as he took my hand in his and kissed my palm.
"I already am Mrs Knight,"
"I know but only you, me, Jac and Diago know that. Once we marry with loads of guests including you're family, every human and supernatural being will know that we are a couple for eternity," Cole explained. "Come on, let's go and announce our engagement,"
Cole pulled me gently out of the door and in to his car before driving us to my parents house.
"Tegan," Liam exclaimed happily when he saw me and ran into my arms. I can see he has fully recovered now and will be returning to school next week.
"Hey," I replied and returned the hug before Liam pulled me inside, Cole was pulled in too because he was holding my hand. Liam led us outside where Dad was seated with Mum in the garden.
"Tegan, Cole what brings you here?" Dad asked in surprise when he saw us.
"We have some news we would like to share with you," I replied as we sat down beside my Dad.
"Really? What news would that be?" Dad asked but I knew he already knew what the news would be.
"We're getting married," I announced and held my left hand up to show the enormous diamond ring Cole had given me the other day. It's a very beautiful ring, better than I imagined it would be but every time I tell Cole that, he disagrees. He tells me that I am beautiful and nothing can ever compare to me. That touches my heart every time, Cole is the perfect husband apart from the secret I know he is hiding from me which I still haven't confronted him about. I thought now that we're getting married, he would confess but he hasn't. I will leave it for now, I want to marry Cole and be happy but I will find out what his secret is. If it is bad and Cole hasn't told me before the wedding then I will have to punish him, some how.
"About time," Liam was the first to speak.
"I take that as you're happy for us,"
"Yes,"
"I'm glad, thank you," I hugged Liam before Mum joined us.
"Oh Tegan! I am so happy for you both," Mum said and burst into tears.
"Oh Mum! Don't cry or you'll start me off too," I said with teary eyes, Dad was yet to say something.
"So you're taking our daughter away from us? I knew you would from the day I first met you," Dad said sternly and Cole tensed up beside me. "Just kidding, I'm happy for you,"
Dad pulled me into a hug and shook hands with Cole.
"So when's the wedding?" Mum asked.
"6 months today," Cole replied. Cole doesn't seem too keen on 6 months, if it was up to him we would have married ages ago but he told me he can wait because technically we are already married but we didn't have a ceremony, we just signed a contract and were married. This will be our chance to do things properly with family and friends.
"Well then...... I'd better start looking at dresses," Mum replied. "Tegan do you have any idea what dress you are going to wear?"
"I have some ideas but nothing concrete," I admitted.
"Good because I have seen a beautiful dress in a bridal magazine that I know will be perfect for you," Mum said quickly before dragging me away without warning. I tried to protest that I wanted to find my own wedding dress but Mum insisted I take a look. When I saw the dress Mum was talking about, I thought it was nice but it wasn't really my thing.
"Mum it's a nice dress but I'm not looking for that kind of look," I told her.
"That's ok, you don't have to like it just because I do. We'll find a dress that you will like in no time," Mum told me before she let me go back to Cole who seemed to be in an uncomfortable conversation with Dad. I thought Dad was happy about us getting married and he had already threatened Cole so what's wrong now? I grabbed Cole's arm before saying to Dad
"Sorry Dad, we must go," I apologised. "We have so much to sort out for the wedding,"
Cole immediately stood up and began to follow me out.
"Bye Liam," I called from over my shoulder just as we reached the car.
"Bye Tegan," I heard Liam reply.
"Come back soon and call me when you have found the dress," Mum added.
"I will, bye Mum," I said before getting in the car.
"Are you ok?" I asked Cole as he began to drive us home.
"I'm fine," he replied as I put my hand on his thigh.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes,"
"Good,"
When we reached home, Cole pulled me into his arms and onto his lap on the couch.
"So," I said.
"So," Cole repeated as he moved his head closer to mine.
"Cole?"
"Hmmm," Cole hummed as our lips were almost touching.
"When we get married are you going to take some time off work?"
"For what?"
"Our honeymoon,"
"Honeymoon, I like the sound of that," Cole mumbled against my lips.
"Is that a yes?"
"Yes," Cole replied and crashed his lips onto mine. As we kissed, I thought about what it would be like after our big day in 6 months. I realised Cole was thinking the same thing because he deepened the kiss and not long after I was pushed down gently onto our bed by him, he must have used his Demon abilities to get us here. Cole began to work his magic on my body and soon my thoughts were consumed only by him.
