I got to the hospital parking lot. I sat there thinking if this is something I should do...I'm I the right person to take of this old lady? I mean I've taken care of my grandmother but, with my mom's help. Am I good enough to run a flower shop?!? No. I. Am. Not. Who else will though? Her son? Nope! I looked at the seat next to me, then the radio, in the review mirror and lastly my hands. I was shaking. I was so lost and nervous. What am I going to do? I looked at the time...I've been parked for at least 25 minutes talking to myself. I took a DEEP to breathe and walked out and into the big doors. I heard people yelling, beeping, chatter and then my own heartbeat. I begin to talk to the front desk.
"Hello, Can I help you?" The lady said
"Yes, I am Claire Mason. I am here to pick up and care for Cathy Kane" I replied with a smile...a nervous one in fact
"She has been waiting for you but, before you see her I need you to answer and sign some papers," The lady said grabbing a folder
"What are these for?" I asked grabbing the folder
"These are for the patients safely and just finding out a way to contact you if something shows up or anything really in the area," She said handing me a pen
"Oh...Alright then" I said taking the pen
"You seem like a nice girl but, are you really sure you can handle Ms.Kane?" She asked
"I-I...Yes, I can. I have everything ready as we speak" I smile
"Ok?" She said sitting down
"I'll go get these done," I said turning and walking back
I sat down and start filling out the papers. They asked about my medical stuff and personal things. Ask if I was doing it to harm her!!!? Why would I harm an old lady??? I sighed and turned the papers in. I started my way over to her room when I paused at her door...Was I ready? Claire stops questioning yourself. I walked in and saw Ms.Ka- Cathy's big smile.
"Can't wait to leave! I will miss the male nurses though" She sighed
"Haha, You're going to be a handful. I can already tell" I giggled walking over
"You look nice today...You meeting someone?" She smirked
"I am in fact" I smiled
"Who? Is he handsome? Does he treat you right? Is he safe?" She asked
She was acting like my mother...
"Well, it's not a guy..." I said
"Oh...I am sorry. I didn't know that you're-" I cut her off
"I am seeing you silly," I said stopping her with a laugh
"You scared me," She said putting her hand on her heart
"Haha, come on let's get you home," I laughed putting my hand on the bed then she grabbed it gently
"Are you sure you're ok with this? I can wait till my son is back" She stated
"I am fine. The room is ready, the fridge is stocked and I have a car" I smiled
"Oh thank you!" She said taking my hand to her check
"Let's get your medicine and wheelchair," I told her
We later arrived home. I put her in her bed and started making soup when the doorbell rang.
"Who is it?" Cathy yelled
"I'll see," I said walking to the door and opened it
"Claire?" A young girl asked
"Come in Taylor," I said
"Thank you...How are you feeling today?" I asked shutting the door
"I am good...weren't you hanging out with Ricky?" I asked
"Ya, I was going to call but, thought I should talk to you in person instead," She said
"Oh...Well, what's up?" I asked walking to the stove
"Darling who is it?" Cathy said wheeling in the kitchen
"What are you doing out of bed?" I asked
"Hello, Ms. Kane," Taylor said
"I wanted to see who it was. I'm glad I got up" She smiled
"Back to bed. You're not supposed to get out of bed till you have had a least 2 physical therapy sections" I said wheeling her back
"I hate being in there" She commented sounding lonely
"I am sorry but, I need to keep you healthy and safe" I started helping her in bed
"Claire you should let her be out...Maybe on the couch?" Taylor suggested quietly
Then I lost it
"Excuse me? You guys are the ones who put me down and told me that I was wrong to help her...You have no right to tell me what and what not to do" I yelled calmly
"Darling, sweetly...Its alright" Cathy said
Then I heard something spill or bubble
"YOUR FOOD," I said making my way to the bedroom doorway
"Taylor, Thank you for guys help...really but, please don't come by until I get things settled and until I need you to watch her for work," I said to her
"I-I" Taylor said
"I need to get her food," I said walking past her
I came to London to hang out with the girls but, I guess things changed. In good ways but, also in bad ways...I don't get to hang out with them and am upset with them. At least I have Cathy and a flower shop to keep me distracted. I cleaned the chicken broth mess up and poured it into a bowl...then

"Hello?"
"It's me, Tim...Claire, I miss you"
"I don't want to speak to you"
I hung up...Why now? I don't want him. I don't think I ever did...
Ring Ring Rinngggg
I picked up...
"What!"
"Uh Hi, It's me...Zach..."
"Oh...Wait!How did you get my number? Where have you been? " I am so confused
"I-I...I must go just now but, know that I still think about you and hope that I'll see you again. And in hopes, you will want to see me...For now, bye beautiful Claire"
