Brie's POV
For the first time in a while I walk into the twins house
I was meeting Grayson here for breakfast so I just sat on the couch until he came
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs so I turn my head and see Ethan almost running, struggling to get down the stairs
"What are you doing here?" I ask him. "I live here" he said with a duh tone. I fold my arms"that's not what Isabella told me"
He ignored me and proceeded to make his way to the door
I noticed something slip out of his pocket
"Hey you dropped this" I pick up a ruby necklace off the ground. His head turns to see it in my hands
"Isn't this the necklace you gave Bella?" "Maybe" "then why do you have it? I thought you didn't care" he tried to take it from me but I quickly snatched it back
"Did you turn your humanity back on?"
"I never turned it off"
"So you've just been causing mayhem willingly?"
"Its all apart of my plan" "then let me help you" "no I can do it myself" "ok nows not the time to play Lone Ranger. You need help"
He snatches the necklace "I got it"
He opens the door and turns back to me "don't tell Grayson about this. It'll just make things complicated"
Ethan's POV
Isabella and I begin to drive home after heading to the hospital to reload
The drive was quiet
"What did you need from your house?" I keep my eyes on the road and respond "Just extra clothes"
"Nothing else?" I turn to her a bit "no". She reached in my bag pocket and lifts the necklace
I've gotta find a better place for that
"That must have been mixed in with stuff"
"Are you sure?" "I'm positive. That thing means nothing to me" "ok. Prove it"
I take the necklace and throw it out the window and speed up leaving it in the grass. I had to built her trust
She leans back into her seat and ripped open a blood bag
"When are we gonna do more fun stuff?" "What do you mean?" "The only reason I wanted you here was for fun. What happened to no humanity Ethan I used to know?"
She was starting to doubt me
Isabella's POV
I'm starting to doubt him
He wasn't himself
He's lying to me about something
That evening
Ethan's POV
I walk through the ankle high grass
Where the hell is it?
Inmates from the jail nearby were doing community service in the area so I asked one of them "hey have you seen a necklace around here anywhere? Bout this big, red rudy" I tried to describe it with my hands. He shakes his head so I continue looking
"Valuable?" "Kinda"
"What is it a girlfriends?" "Not exactly"
The man collects more garbage
I see a shimmer in the grass while scanning the area
I walk over to it and pick up the necklace
This is has to make things ok
Brie's POV
I walk in the cafe to meet Grayson
All I want to do is tell him about Ethan. I know it'll make him happy but it's probably for the best that he doesn't know
"Hey" he greets me with a warm smile. "Hey"
I shuffle in my seat
"What's wrong?" "Nothing" He gives me a look "you suck at lying"
"I'm not lying"
Fries get brought to the table and I start to stuff my face out of nervousness
"You're doing that thing" "What thing?" I say with a mouth full of fries
"The thing where you eat to not talk about something" he laughs "Seriously what's up?"
"I can't tell you" I confuse. "Why not?" "I was told not too" "since when do you keep secrets?" He said in a sort of playful way but I could tell deep down he was serious
I try not to make eye contact but I can feel his eyes on me
My finger starts to tap on the table
"Is it about Isabella?"
My finger taps harder and faster along with my leg
"Brie you gotta tell me"
He puts his hand on mine to stop me from tapping
I look at him and I break
"Ugh fine. Ethan didn't turn his humanity off"
He looks at me in shock then at the door as it opens
I turn to see Ethan walking in
He looks at gray then me and realized what I did
He walks over "do you ever stop talking? I asked you to do one little thing and you can't even do that"
"E it's not her fault. I made her tell me" Ethan looks at him "we can help"
"I don't need help"
"You sure?"
Ethan looked at both of us, clearly irritated
He walked us to the nearest quiet area around which happened to be the parking lot
"There has to be something to bring her back" I say
"There is. You've just have to ease into it" Ethan says. "But knowing what happened last time, she'll probably threaten to do a killing spree" Grayson says
"Oh...I take it that's not ok with you guys"
We both turn to Ethan with judging looks "Relax. Relax. I have a plan. Just don't get in the way"
He explains what he had in mind
Ethans phone rings and he reaches for it "It's her" he ignores the call and walks off "don't blow this"
Isabella's POV
I sit in the couch with my legs and arms crossed
He walks in
"Where have you been?"
"I didn't know we were married now"
I stand up and watch him chew his gum and lean on the doorway without a care in the world
I eye him down with crossed arms. "Careful. Don't look at me with your judgy little eyes. Almost makes it seem like you care" He walks to the kitchen, puts his jacket on his chair and takes a seat
I walk behind him and stand on the other side of the table
I looked at him again. Something was off
"You seem tense" he says. "I'm just peachy. How about you?" He shrugs
"You're lying to me Ethan" "What would I be lying about?" He stood up confidently
He stares me down and walks to the fridge
I lean on the counter and watch his movements. I decide to take a different approach
He gets to the fridge and takes out a water. I stand right behind him so once he turned the first thing he saw was me. "I'm sorry. It's just- my whole intention was to have you around so maybe we could forgot what happened before and after I got my memories and experiment what happened when they were gone"
As I stepped closer to him he folded his arms "are you playing with me?" "Not yet"
A smirk spread across his face as I pulled his head closer and our lips collied
He pushes me against a wall and begins to kiss my neck. The sounds of kissing and heavy breathing filled the room
I explored his body with my hands and made my way down to his pants
I felt inside the pockets and pulled out what I wanted and held it in my hands
I moved my hands across his abs to this chest and placed my hands on top of him
Not gonna lie, I didn't want him to stop. But he pissed me off
I pushed him across the room. I heard his groan as he hit the ground "What the fuck"
I walk over to him and kneel to his level. "And how long did it take you to find this?"
He turns and sees me with a ruby jewel necklace in my hands. "Don't care about this huh?"
He gets up and stands with me "it was for you. After all of this you're gonna want it. I'm thinking about you here. This means absolutely nothing to me right now"
I walk the sink and turn on the disposal
"Then drain it"
I hand him the necklace and he hangs it over the sink
He stares at it for what feels like forever
I was getting impatient
"Fine. I'll do it" I snatch the necklace
Before I could let it go he grabs my wrist with hard force. I could feel his nails in my skin
"You lied to me" I say in a dark tone. I feel a little anger growing inside of me
I look for the closest thing next to me
A knife
I shove it in his stomach and leave it there as I walk to the pantry to grab the broom
I could hear his groans as he pulled it out
I break it in half and throw it at his shoulder
He yanks it out and runs towards me. He grabs my arms but I push him off sending him across the room
He gets up and wipes blood from his lip
"You can't take me"
"I know. That's why I brought backup"
I see Grayson walk in the door
While we look at each other Ethan runs and forces me to a chair in front of a window, there was still daylight left outside
I feel my fingers that are behind my back and realize my ring was gone
Ethan still forces me down while Grayson stands next to curtains
"What are you gonna do kill me?" "No. Just teach you how to feel something"
"Grayson would never hurt me"
At that moment he opens the curtains and I feel my body go up in flames
I feel my skin burning as I fall to the ground
I feel them inject me with something which knocks me out
