Jace's POV
"Jace. Wake up", I hear a voice say and I open my eyes to see Alec standing over me.
"Today's Sunday. What do you want?", I ask, rubbing my eyes.
"Yesterday was Sunday. Today's Monday", he says.
"Oh, okay", I say and close my eyes again.
"Jace, please, wake up. Go and shower. I'll go wake up Izzy and Max", he says.
"Alright, alright. Waking up", I say and get into the shower.
I put on my uniform, take my gun, my papers and comb my hair.
"Good", I say, looking at my reflection in the mirror and take a look around my room. It took up a whole Sunday but it's worth it.
"Good morning, Max", I say as I enter the drawing room.
"Good morning, Jace", he says.
"Excited for school? ", I ask, hugging him.
"Yeah. Nervous too", he says.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine", I say, ruffling his hair.
"Hello everyone", Izzy says, entering the room. She's wearing a black top and black miniskirt. Her long black hair is tied back in a ponytail.
"Hey Iz", Max says.
"All the best for your first day", she says to Max.
"Thanks, sis", he says.
"Siblings, breakfast's ready", I hear Alec call and all of us walk inside the dining room cum kitchen.
"Nothing elaborate. Just toast", he says.
"It's perfect. Sit down", Izzy says and all of us sit down.
"So, Max, you okay? ", Alec asks.
"Yeah, fine", he says.
"So, Alec, did you meet Luke? ", I ask.
"I'm meeting him today. It's been ages since I last saw him. Then, we'll start working on cases. You know you should keep your gun safer. It was lying on the floor when I came to wake you up", he says.
"Uh sorry. I'll keep it safer", I say.
"Alec, can you drop me home after we go to Max's school?", Izzy asks.
"No problem", he says.
"Everyone drop your plates in the dishwasher", Alec says and all of us drop off our plates.
"Alec, thank you for the new house", Izzy says, hugging him.
"You're welcome", he says, hugging her back.
"Izzy, move a bit", I say and hug Alec.
"Ow! Okay, alright", he says. The three of us are standing there awkwardly hugging each other.
"Alec, can I hug you too? ", Max asks and Izzy and I move a bit.
"Come on in", Alec says and all four of us hug each other.
"We honestly can't manage a day without you, Alec", Izzy says.
"Yeah", I say.
"Can we go? I don't want to be late on my first day of school", Max says and all of us break apart.
All of us laugh and walk downstairs.
The new town has already shown us a ray of new hope.
"Alec, are you crying? ", I ask, as all of us wave at Max, who is already disappearing into the crowd of students.
"No. I'm not", he says, hastily wiping away his tears.
"Aww. Alec's crying", I say.
"Shut it Jace", he says.
"Alright", I say.
"We should probably frame this picture, don't you think? ", Izzy says, looking at her phone.
"You're crying too", I say.
"Shut up", she says.
"Yeah, we should frame this", Alec says and I snatch the mobile from him.
"Yeah, the picture's beautiful. See you later, family. I should be heading to work", I say.
"Okay, see you tonight", Izzy says.
"Be safe", Alec says.
"I will. Love you two", I say and turn back and walk towards my car.
Alec's POV
"It's a right turn over here", Izzy says.
"Okay", I say.
"Okay stop. We've reached our apartment", she says.
"Hey Magnus! ", she says and waves at someone.
"Come and say hello to Magnus", she says and I walk out of the car.
"Hello. I'm Alec. You must be the Magnus I heard so much about", I say, shaking his hand.
He stares at me with a confused expression on his face.
"Sorry. I'm Magnus Bane. It's just I felt like I had seen you somewhere before", he says.
He has jet black hair, amber eyes, a tiny nose, full lips and a figure to die for. I have never seen anyone with amber eyes in the twenty three years of my lifetime. Google amber eyes and you'll know why I say they are sexy.
"Okay, he's hot", I think.
"You look vaguely familiar too", I say.
"Where did I see him? ", I think.
"So, see you later", he says.
"Goodbye", I say and get into my car still thinking about where I had seen him.
"Is that the only reason you're thinking about him? ", a voice in my head asks.
"Shut up", I say and drive away.
