Afina woke up in the middle of the night to her phone ringing. She groaned turning on her side to see who would be calling her and to her surprise it was Clary.
"What do you need Clary?" Afina asked rubbing her eyes as she sat up in her bed. After staying with Raphael the night before she decided she wanted to sleep in her own bed at the institute the next night.
"Have you heard from Simon? He won't answer me" Clary sighed and Afina rolled her eyes sighing
"What'd you do now? No I haven't heard from him. I don't know if you've noticed but he hasn't really been jumping at the opportunity to call me" Afina said hearing Clary sigh
"Well could you help me look for him tomorrow morning?" Clary asked
"Uh ya no I can't. I'm sure Simons fine Clary. I'm going to bed now" Afina said leaning back into her bed closing her eyes
"No wait Afina!" Clary said urgently
"Bye bye now Clary" Afina hung up after that sighing contently before closing her eyes and falling back asleep.

The next morning Afina got up quickly got dressed and put her hair in a high pony tail before going down to train more.
She first grabbed her bow and arrows admiring them, missing how she used to hold the bow everyday and now it's every few months
She started shooting at her targets the feeling of herself coming back to her as she moved to each target hitting it in a bullseye
After awhile of shooting arrows and throwing daggers Afina went to leave to get cleaned up to get on with her day when she stopped hearing Jace and Izzy at the end of a conversation
"Woah slow down Jace" Izzy said
"Izzy, I can't just erase my feelings" Jace reasoned
"Do Simon and Clary a favor and don't go there" Izzy said and Afina stepped out into sight
"Funny hearing that from you" Afina said and Izzy looked away
"I thought we were good?" Izzy questioned and Afina nodded
"We are I just find it funny" Afina said crossing her arms
"Find what funny?" Jace asked
"That she cares about you getting in the middle of a relationship when she did the exact same" Afina said walking away while Jace and Izzy gave each other a look
"What's gotten into her I thought you guys were good?" Jace said raising an eyebrow and Izzy shrugged before continuing to walk over to Alec and Sebastian.

Afina walked down the street smiling at the feeling of the sun on her. She looked to her side to see Clary walking out of where Simon stayed with tears streaming down her face
She frowned before deciding to go see her brother to see if he was ok. She didn't know what happened but she knew it must have been bad
"Simon?" Afina called knocking on the metal door which he slowly opened and she noticed his eyes were red and tears were running down his cheeks
"Oh Simon, I'm so sorry" Afina said pulling him into a hug after putting two and two together about what just happened between him and Clary.
Simon hugged his sister tightly soaking in the feeling of hugging his sister, taking in the feeling of what it must feel like to have her attention.
"Clary s-she kissed Jace and I-" Simon said before getting choked up and having to stop while he let out a quiet sob
"Sh it's ok Simon it's ok" Afina soothed. Simon looked around his make shift apartment noticing his bloodied shirt from when he went out to a new club he found the night prior with the help of a vampire who's name was Quinn.
"You should go" Simon said urgently pushing away from his sister who looked at him confused
"Simon-" Afina went to say but Simon was pushing her out the door
"Thanks for checking in I'm fine" Simon said quickly. When Afina went to say something Simon slammed the door shut
She scoffed looking around her before she continued to walk to her original destination giving the door one last look
"I try to be a good sister and he literally shoves me away" Afina sighed shaking her head before making her way to the hotel where Raphael waited
"Missed you" Raphael said wrapping his arms around the girl who laughed quietly in response.
"It's only been a day Raphael" she smiled causing the vampire in front of her to smile
"A day is a day to long" Raphael stated smirking slightly at the laughing girl in his arms
"That was cheesy as hell" Afina mentioned as they both laughed slightly before Raphael leaned in kissing her on the lips
"Do you have things you need to do?" Afina asked leaning her head on his chest listening to where his heart should beat but doesn't
"Already finished and if something comes up ill clear it till tomorrow" Raphael smiled as Afina pulled away grabbing his hand and pulling him to the bed where she cuddle up to him feeling a sense of security as his arms wrapped around her
She smiled falling asleep in his embrace while he watched her with loving eyes holding her tight against him

When Afina woke next it was only night time and Raphael was no longer next to her when she turned to look for him
She sighed before getting out of the comfortable bed and walking around the hotel listening for Raphael before she heard him outside talking to someone else
"He stepped out why you looking for him?" She heard Raphael ask
"Nothing it's nothing" she heard and she pinned the voice to her brother Simon
"Doesn't sound like nothing to me amigo" Raphael stated
"Raphael I think I killed a Mundane" Simon said shakily his voice trembling with each word he spoke "that missing girl I mean I don't know if I did I'm not a killer I wouldn't hurt anyone but maybe I don't know myself anymore"
"Ok listen, calm down. Tell me the last thing you remember" Raphael said calmly
"Ok um Quinn bought me plasma (idk if that's the word) and then took us to the bleeder den but that's where it all gets hazy I kind of remember a girl and an arm and me biting into her then I completely black out. Do you think he's at the den?" Simon asked
"No, it doesn't open till midnight" Raphael sighed
"Whys this happening to me? I'm a good guy! I'm an organ donor or I mean I was an organ donor! Do you still give organs when you're a vampire?" Simon rambled
"Simon get ahold of yourself" Raphael said
"So what do I do turn myself in?" Simon asked
"No, what happens if you go hungry in prison?" Raphael asked and then she heard it go silent for a second
"Can I stay here and lay low?" Simon asked and Afina could feel Raphael looking at the door as if he was thinking about her or knew she was standing on the other side
"Can you help me out?" Simon asked watching Raphael look around not giving him an answer to his question
"Ya I can help you out but I need something in return" Raphael said and Afina started listening closely
"Ya what is it?" Simon asked relief clear in his words
"Tell me how you became a day lighter" Raphael demanded and Afinas eyes widened wondering why he wanted to know
"I told you I don't know" Simon said nervously.
"I don't believe you. If you can't help me I can't help you" Raphael said and it was silent before she heard the sound of Simon speeding away.
Afina crossed her arms while Raphael opened the door stopping when he sees her on the other side of the door
"Afina you heard that?" Raphael sighed rubbing his head slightly
"Yes I heard that why wouldn't you give my brother shelter when he needed it most?" Afina demanded glaring at her boyfriend
"If he just answered me then he would be safe and sound in the hotel" Raphael said motioning around him
"What if he really didn't know?" Afina asked obviously knowing he knew since he was the one who helped her become a daylighter
"Then I guess I won't know" Raphael shrugged and Afina scoffed shaking her head before turning to go walk to his bed room
Raphael sighed before following after her calling her name but gave up when she wouldn't answer him
"Look Raphael I may be a crappy sister to all my siblings but that doesn't mean I like them being in danger" Afina said as Raphael stood in front of her
"I'll go after him" Raphael decided "if it's what you want I'll go after him"
"It is. I'm coming with you" Afina said and Raphael shook his head but didn't say anything knowing she would come either way
The pair ran around before Raphael decided to check the club Simon was talking about where they ran into Luke and Clary
"What are you doing here?" Luke asked
"Trying to track down a murder" Raphael said
"Stay of of this" Luke demanded
"This is vampire business I can take care of it myself" Raphael argued
"I can't let you do that" Luke said before Clary stepped up
"Leave Simon alone" she demanded glaring at the vampire causing Afina to push her back slightly
"He wasn't talking about Simon" Afina said glaring at her
"I'm looking for the one who killed the girl" Raphael spoke up causing Clarys eyes to widen before the four went into the club
As they ran in they witnessed the vampires backing away from Simon who was holding up a bloody wooden spear before dropping it when he saw everyone
Raphael looked at the boy uneasy and Afina sighed seeing the horrified look on her brothers face
"I didn't kill that girl" Simon said not looking at any of them
"We know, are you ok?" Clary asked and Simon shook his head
"No not really." Simon said and Clary went to step forward when Simon sped away causing Clary to look at Luke sadly

Raphael and Afina sat across from each other at the Chinese restaurant that was run by the werewolves where they sat a table away from Luke
They waited before finally a girl came in who Afina assumed was Luke's partner the one he told them caught Simon before Simon escaped
Luke and his partner had a short conversation before he nodded over to the two vampires who stood up and walked over to them
Raphael stood with his hands together looking her dead in the eyes before speaking
"You will forget the name Simon Lewis. He no longer exists here. Daniel Quinn murdered Hydel Makenzie he's disappeared. You will never find him" Raphael said before looking at Luke who nodded allowing them to leave
Raphael sighed before grabbing Afinas hand and walking out of the restaurant and back to the hotel. When they got there they went to his room and sat on his couch while he played with her hair
"Are you ok?" Raphael asked and Afina shrugged slightly in response
"I'm more worried about Simon. He's gone through so much in just a few days" Afina sighed and Raphael kissed the top of her head causing her to close her eyes
"I'm sure everything will turn out ok" Raphael is said and she gave a small nod before her eyes grew heavier and she layed her head on his chest while she fell asleep.
He smiled slightly before picking her up and setting her in his bed getting in after and holding her in his arms
Ending his night by kissing her head

I think this book will finish up soon but don't worry I plan on maybe making a second book what do you guys think?
