I don't know how the story changed, I just thought about adding drama, also sorry for mako lovers, I'm not a huge fan of him but that's my opinion, and I respect yours
Korra POV
I hated volleyball don't get me wrong I like sports but for me volleyball sucks, I try as hard as I can but every time I don't make the team, I'm not bad it's just something always happens on the day and I mess up,
It's probably Kuvira's fault, she always makes the team,
So today is the last time I'm trying to get on the team, I don't really care I need the scholarship, I don't have much money since my parents death
I put on my gym clothes and I walk in with the rest of people who are desperate to get on the team
"Ok losers let's begin" Kuvira says, she is the team captain and also a total b*tch
"We have a new player today, she transferred from another school, she is volleyball champ so she is on the team so there only one space on the team midgets" she says
She looks at me, we have long history, she has always been my bully
"Today is different Asami sato the new transfer will be picking the new player, so here she is"
The doors open and a tall raven haired girl walks in, her eyes were emerald green.
I could feel my cheeks getting warmer
"Hey guys I'm Asami, Kuvira asked me too pick, so I will base not just of skill"
Kuvira gave her a glare but Asami didn't even budge, I had an urge to clap but instead I smirked
"Ok each person take a partner and court and start to play" she says with a smile
I can't read her at all
I go to a court and wait for someone to come but no one does
"Great" I mumble
"Hey can I join you" Asami says as she walks up
"You'll probably beat me" I say nervously
"It's fine don't worry" she says smiling
I look at her, she had medical tape on one hand, I could almost see enthusiasm pour out of her
"Ok well um you do want to tip" I tell her as I lift the ball

I nervously pull a piece of my bob cut
"Thanks, let's get started" I sat as I serve the ball

The score was 21-13, win for Asami but I gave it my all
"Well done" she says, a few sweat beads were on her face, she barely had to put any effort in, and i was lying on the floor out of breath
"Yeah thanks" I mumble, she goes under the net and she offers a hand, I take it and she pulls me up
"Wow your strong" I tell her
"Thanks" she says, wait did she blush, no she is probably just tired
"Ok that's it midgets"Kuvira yells
I make my way back to the others
I could feel Kuvira Glaring at me
"Ok Asami has been busy so I will help her with the judgement"
"It's ok Kuvira I can multi task, first of all Kuvira your players don't know the rules, so either you get rid of them or I'm not playing on your team"
She stares at her as I wondering how dare Asami do that
"Or the other option is that I create my on team, and next Saturday we have a play off to see who becomes the schools team"
"Ok fine, I'll take my own players" she says storming off
Nobody does anything
But I start to clap and immediately everyone else joins in

"Thanks, I'm sorry I can't pick all of you" she says
We all nod
"Jinora will you be my Libero, opal will you be the wing spiker, I will be the Opposite hitter, Zhu li you will be middle blocker please, Lin (she is younger in this) will you be the setter, and Korra will you be the wing attacker" (just to say I know nothing about volley ball) she says
The rest leave and the newly selected team goes to our captain
"So we train after class tomorrow, Korra stay behind" she says
Once everyone leaves, the green eyed girl gestures for me to come over
"Look Korra this isn't going to easy, our team isn't as good as Kuvira's but we can get better, so I'm trusting you to make sure everyone gives it there all" she says
"Yeah sure, um do you want to hang out" I ask her
"Sorry I can't I have a date" she says
"Oh it's cool, with who" I ask her as she slings a bag over shoulder
"A guy called mako"
"That bastard, oh sorry, we dated for 4 years but I found out he was cheating on me, so I broke up with him, so just a heads up" I tell her as I walk away
"Thanks"
I walk out of the gym defeated, I got what I wanted but I still feel empty
-time skip Asami date-
Asami POV
I went to the park where mako would pick me, but the only thing I could think about is Korra, she was so determined but she was sad I don't know why
"Hey Asami" Mako says
I look up at the sharkbrow boy
"Hey"
"So wanna go" he says, he seems nice
"Yeah sure, so you the boy to get a school" I say with a slight chuckle
"Yep that's me, dated every girl in the school sadly they didn't how much I could offer" he says with a smile that's almost scary
Ok he is a playboy
"Anything to say babe" he says as he breathes on my neck I push him away
"Don't call me that" I say as I walk away from him, there is a rumble in the sky
He walks up to me and he grabs my chin and forcefully kisses me
I push him even harder away, he looks at me as the rain starts to pour down, he licks his lips as if he wanted to kiss me again he walks towards me and I run away but he start to catch up, my coat Now drenched served no purpose
He caught up and grabbed my arm and pulled me in and he kissed me again
I couldn't pulls away, tears stream down my face, I slam my fist on his back but he didn't even move
I feel a strong hand on my shoulder and mako pulls away
I take a breath and I wipe the lipstick from my lips and turn around only to find Korra who was clearly angry
Her hair was turning darker with the rain
"Look what we have here" Mako says smirking
He ran his hand through his wet hair
"Bastard, how dare you" she says, she dumps her gym bag and she walks up to mako
"Oh what are going to do" he says
"Your about to find out" she says
Korra punches him right in the gut
He staggers back and catches his breath
Korra walks back to me
I noticed that mako was running back at Korra, he had something shiny in his hand, and then it hit me
"Korra look.." I yell

Mako slashed the knife along Korra's back
Korra grunts in pain and she falls over, she stands back up she takes her ripped hoodie off and I could see her bloody back through her volley ball clothes
"Korra no" I say grabbing her arm
"Look it's time I finish this"
She turns around and lunges at the boy
He slashes th knife at her, and he gets her cheek
A thick red liquid pours down her face but she doesn't even flinch
"Korra stop" I yell at her
She doesn't even listen
She throws a punch at his stomach
Perfect hit, but mako came back by slamming the knife in her shoulder
Korra yells out in pain, she pulls it out and she throws it away out of his reach
Mako's face changes from confidence to pure fear, he staggered back.
A flame formed on Korra's fist, panick fills my head
"Korra your hand is on fire" I yell at the tanned girl
She turns around and her eyes are glowing white, I could see a smirk form on her lips, she is the Avatar
I thought that was just a myth
My thoughts are disturbed by a sudden burst of heat
I look up at mako lying on the ground
Korra turns around, her eyes stop glowing and she walks over to me
I could see blood coming down her shoulder
"Are you ok" I ask her
"Yeah I'm fine, the real question is are you ok" she says, adrenaline clearly going crazy inside of her
"Yeah I'm fine, you were stabbed in the shoulder and then you have a big gash on your face and also your back now has a huge
"Can't feel it" she says smiling
"Well im going to take you to a hospital" i tell her as i slip her good arm which had burn marks from the flame she summoned
"Nooo i hate the hospital" she moans like a child
"Then how will you play on the match on Saturday" I tell her as i slowly walk her away
"I will be fine" She says
"Ok fine" i look down at her
She passed out in my arms
I pulled her along, the rain now slowly clearing away, the sun slowly made its way through the dark gray clouds
I bring her to my car which was near by, I put her in the back and I put my volleyball towel on her shoulder to soak up the blood
I drove to my home which was only ten minutes away
Once I arrived I pulled out my keys and I brought Korra in, I placed her on a sofa and i grab my first aid kit
Once i finished patching her up I cleaned myself up and i checked the time
10:15 pm
I need to go to bed, i looked down at the unconscious girl, she risked her life for me
I got ready for bed and I immediately fall asleep.
Korra pov
I woke up, my eyes adjust to the light I look out the window it was still dark I look around the room, it wasn't familiar
I stood up and pain sear across my body I look at my shoulder it was bandaged up,
Dang it the avatar form took over, spirits how am going to be able to play the match
How did this even happen, This always happens when the avatar state takes over
I slowly walked over to a counter and i find my bag which volleyball gear perfectly folded, i find a note
Hey Korra, thanks for saving, just be more careful next time, also your volleyball top has a rip on the back so here is one of mine it might be a bit big
Asami <3
Thats means im at her place i walk up to a near by mirror and i lifted up the big t-shirt i have on, which isn't mine, i could see some bruises on my abdomen
I look up at my face, which has a cut, it was a pretty deep gash probably a knife
I went over to the counter and took my stuff
"Hey where are you going"
I turn around only too see Asami in a night gown
I could feel my cheeks getting warmer
"Be careful with your hand" she says leaning on the wall
I look down at my hand and it had medical tape over it
"You burned yourself when you used the flame, i didnt know you were the avatar" she says smiling
"No one should know, thanks for taking care of me" i say setting my bag down
Asami walked over to me and puts her hand through my hair.
It sends a shiver down my spine
"I'm sorry for rejecting your offer, also you were right mako is a bastard" she says smiling
"So I can't remember anything that happened, so you need to explain"
Suddenly Asami kisses me
I don't refuse, she bites my lower lip and I let out a slight groan
She pulls away
"Does that explain" she says her red lipstick now smudged and probably on my lips as well
"Yeah but you might need to give me details" I say smirking
"Ok you ruined the moment" she says throwing her hands up in defeat
"Oh come on, sorry" I say
"We need to train for the match" Asami says as she grabs her kit
"Agh fine"
Time skip, they won the match and Korrasami became canon
