Haley's P.O.V.

When I walked into school, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. You know, my eyes are probably in the best shape out of everything in my body because they roll so much. Anyways, Perry was doing her bag checks today, which was another day where she would take my phone for no reason at all. Bree and I were complaining the whole entire time until we got to the front of the line. Leo's bag was getting checked now, and then it would be my turn.

"Aha! Cell phones are a violation!" Perry said when she pulled Leo's phone out of his front pocket.

"I think you sticking a hand in my backpack is also a violation." Leo pointed out to her.

"Planning on texting your girlfriend in class, were ya?" She asked him.

"I don't have a girlfriend." He told her.

"Yeah, well now you don't have a cell phone either. Bye bye!" She said as she waved to him. He rolled his eyes and moved past her. When it was my turn, I placed my bag on the table in front of her and crossed my arms. She began to search my bag.

"What do we have here?" She asked as she pulled my bag of chips and water out of my bag, "You know food and drinks aren't permitted inside the hallways."

"Yes, I know. That's why I had them inside my book bag. Plus, those are for study hall anyways." I said. I reached out to grab them, but she held them out of my reach.

"They're mine now, princess. Oh, and look here. Another cell phone!" She said as she took it out of my bag, "Two violations in one day. You just got yourself detention after lunch today, Ford. Move it."

She shoved my bag at me, and I rolled my eyes as she opened my bag of chips and began to eat them. I walked over to Adam, Chase, and Leo and sighed loudly.

"I can't believe her! I am so over her stupid bag checks and the way she runs things around here! She took my food, and it never ends well when people take my food!" I said to them.

"She's got a point. Don't ever touch those breadsticks when you go to Olive Garden." Leo said to Adam and Chase.

All of a sudden, I felt a breeze hit my face and something jumped down on the ground in between Leo and I. Leo screamed like a girl when Bree showed up out of nowhere next to us. She had used her super speed yet again in school. I honestly don't know how she hasn't been caught yet.

"Morning boys and best friend!" She said to us cheerfully.

"Seriously, can we put a bell on her?" Leo asked us.

"Yeah, you got to chill on the super agility. Somebody is going to see you using your bionics." Chase said to her.

She scoffed, "No one ever sees me! I mean, you didn't see me swipe your lunch money."

When she held up his money, Chase quickly checked his pockets. When he realized his money was gone, he said, "Oh, you're good." He reaches out to swipe the money back, but she pulled away quickly.

"Hey!" Perry said suddenly as she ran over to Bree, "How'd you get past my checkpoint? I sent you to the back of the line.

"Uh, that wasn't me." Bree said nervously.

"Must've been somebody else." Chase chipped in.

"Yeah, somebody who can't climb ceilings. Saved it!" He said to us underneath his breath and we rolled our eyes.

"You three have an answer for everything, don't you?" Perry asked them as Leo and I stood back a little bit.

"I don't like to brag, but the answer to that is yes." Chase said to her. All I wanted to do now was punch him in the face.

"There's one thing I pride myself on." Perry began to say.

"Your incredibly sturdy calves?" Bree interrupted and Perry gave her a look.

"No! My instincts, and my instincts tell me that you three are trouble." She said.

"Well, I don't like your instincts at all, and you can tell them I said that." Adam told her.

"I can't put my finger on it, but ever since you arrived, strange things have been happening around here and the only strange thing I'll tolerate is the janitor." She said. She looked over at the janitor and gave him a weird wave. She said to us, "I have to. He's my cousin."

"Who are they?" Leo asked as two repair men walked past us with a ladder and equipment.

"Air conditioning repairmen. They're here to check out the strange winds that have been blowing around here for months." She answered. When she walked away to quickly talk to the repair men, Chase elbowed Bree.

"She's talking about you! You're the mysterious wind!" Chase told her.

"The only mysterious wind around here comes from Adam." Bree said and Adam nodded his head in agreement. Once Perry was done talking to the repairmen, she walked back over to us.

"Just so you know, tonight is Parent Teacher night, which means tomorrow is 'You're Grounded' Day!" Perry said and she began to laugh evilly. When she got it back together, she continued, "So good luck!"

"What the heck is Parent Teacher night?" Chase asked Leo and I.

"It's pretty much when your teachers tell your parents every bad thing you've done. Forgetting homework, skipping class." I told them.

"Staging a protest for better bathroom soap." Leo added. Man, I remember that day. It was a long one for him. When Adam, Bree, and Chase were giving him weird looks, he said, "Don't look at me like that! You're all benefiting from my rebellion!"

"If Perry tells Davenport about the strange things she's seen, he'll know we're using bionics in school. He'll pull us out for sure." Adam said worriedly.

"Well, then we can't give Principal Perry any hard evidence. No one uses their bionics. That means no heat vision, no super strength, and no super speed." Chase said, mainly to Adam and Bree since Leo and I obviously weren't bionic.

"Well, that's just crazy! What do you expect me to do? Walk?" Bree asked like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world.

"Just saying, most people do walk to class instead of super speeding there." I told her.

"I, myself, plan to ace Parent Teacher night by kissing up to all of my teachers. That way, my mom will let me go to the big concert I've been looking forward to. The Riff Raff Jammy Jam!" Leo said as he started to dance in the hallway.

"I want to go to the Riff Raff Jammy Jam!" Chase said excitedly. He began to dance in the hallway, and it definitely was going to scar me for life. His dance moves made me want to walk away from him and never come back.

"Not with moves like that." Leo said, speaking everyone's minds.

When one of Leo's teachers walked by, he said, "Watch this. Miss Watkins! Wow, that new haircut is working. I thought you were Angelina Jolie!"

Miss Watkins smiled at Leo before walking into the cafeteria. He said to us, "That should be good for a C+."

———

Later on that day, I was in line for lunch with Bree and Chase while Leo handed out apples to all of his teachers. I was absolutely dreading detention after this because detention with Perry was never fun. I was also ready to eat because I was absolutely starving since Perry took my study hall snack. Adam walked over to us with a hotdog in his hand. He took a bite out of it, but immediately spit it back up in his hand.

"Ugh! This hotdog's not even hot! And don't get me started on the fact it's not even a dog!" He said to us. We gave him a weird look before turning away. When I heard a familiar sound, my head whipped around quickly. We saw Adam using his heat vision on the hot dog and Chase quickly smacked the back of his head.

"Hey, no heat vision! Principal Perry is watching us like a hawk!" Chase said to him. When we looked over, we saw Perry watching us with a pair of white, horned glasses on. The four of us waved to here before turning away.

"I feel like I've been standing in lines all day. I just want pizza! Not being able to use my super speed whenever I want is killing me." Bree complained when Leo walked over to us.

"You think it's hard on you? My bag of cookie bits got stuck in the vending machine, and I couldn't call for Adam to shake them free." Leo said to her.

"Aw, I love shaking your cookie bits." Adam said to him sadly.

Bree huffed in annoyance and said, "That's it. I'm speeding to the front."

"Control yourself woman! Do something! Shut her off!" Leo said to Adam and Chase. The two of them grabbed her arms while I grabbed Leo when I saw Principal Perry walking towards us. We both started to smile when we walked over to her.

"Hey, are those new glasses?" I asked her as Leo and I put an arm around her to lead her away.

"It's amazing what they're doing with bifocal fashion." Leo said to us and I nodded my head in agreement.

"Don't you two try to butter me up." She said, but then continued as she took off her glasses, "But if you must know, they're mother of pearl with an onyx trim. They have-"

"That sounds great for you. We have to run!" I said to her once I saw Adam, Bree, and Chase were gone. I grabbed Leo's arm and pulled him into the hallway. We ran over to the vending machines and made sure Perry wasn't following us.

"That was a close one." I said to him.

"Very. Hopefully she doesn't tell our parents about that one at Parent Teacher night." He said to me.

"I don't have to worry about that. My parents are out of town on a business trip. They won't be there." I said to him.

"They're still going to find out about your detention, you know that right?" He asked me.

"I've gotten detention so many times, they honestly don't really say anything about it anymore." I said to him.

All of a sudden, we heard a noise above us in the ceiling. We looked up and saw it start to crumble. We heard Bree yell something at us, but Leo and I started to scream. Bree super speeded over to us and pushed us out of the way. Adam ran over and caught a large air conditioner that fell out of the ceiling. He placed it down on the ground and him and Chase ran over to us quickly. I sat up slowly and rubbed my head from where it hit the wall.

"I'm walking towards the light. It's so peaceful!" Leo said as he laid on the ground. Even with my head pounding, I still managed to roll my eyes. Bree helped Leo up while Adam helped me up. Perry walked out into the hallway, and when she saw the air conditioner, she looked furious.

"What did you do to my school?!" She asked us.

"We're okay. Thanks for asking." Chase said to her sarcastically.

"It's no our fault! The air conditioner fell from the hole in the ceiling!" Adam told her.

"Well, if it crashed from that hole up there, then what is it doing sitting unbroken right here?" Perry asked us.

"Well, it's not because I caught it and put it there. Saved it!" Adam said to us and then smiled at Perry.

Perry looked at Adam, Bree, and Chase and pointed at them, "You did this. You sabotaged my vents!"

"It wasn't us!" Bree said.

"Sure wasn't." Chase said.

"Do I look like a sabotuesiter to you?" Adam asked her. I rolled my eyes at the fact that he just said that completely wrong, but at least he tried.

"You know what? It doesn't matter. I'll just see what happens when I watch the video footage." Perry said to us, and I thought my stomach dropped to the floor. All of our eyes widened massively.

"Oh good. She said it doesn't-wait! The video whatage?!" Adam asked her.

"That's right! I had surveillance cameras installed, and I'm going to find out exactly what happened. And when I do, you're all going down." She said to us.

Leo walked over to her and pulled an apple out of his bag, "Perhaps a honey crisp will change your mind."

Perry took a bite out of the apple and placed it back in his hand. When she walked away, Leo looked down at the apple and a look of horror was plastered on his face, "How many rows of teeth does this woman have?"

"I have to head to detention now. Wait for me, and we'll figure something out." I told the four of them. They nodded their heads and I walked up the stairs. We would be able to figure something out, right?

———

After detention, I saw Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo all sitting on the stairs. I sat down next to them and even after an hour, they all still looked shook up over the surveillance footage. Once I arrived, we started to come up with a plan.

"We've got to stop Principal Perry from watching that video or she's going to see all three of us using our bionics." Adam said.

"What ever we do, we cannot panic. Everyone just stay calm." Chase said to us and I gave him a weird look.

"We are calm." I told him.

"Well, you shouldn't be! We're in crisis!" He exclaimed to me as he jumped up from the stairs and began to pace.

"Guys, is it that big of a deal if she sees us using our bionics and tells Davenport? I mean, he already knows." Adam said and we all just rolled our eyes. That's when Chase got his unattractive lightbulb face on.

"Wait, I know! Why don't we just use Davenport's invisibility cloak to sneak into Perry's office and grab the cameras hard drive?" He suggested it, but since it was Chase's idea, I knew that's what we were more than likely going to do.

"Good idea! I'll race home and get it!" Bree said. She super speeded out of the school.

"Okay, so while she's gone-" Leo began to say, but Bree was already back, "And she's back."

"We better hurry. There's not much time until Parent Teacher night starts. Davenport and Tasha will be here soon. One of us has to get that hard drive." Chase said. The four of us looked at each other before we all looked down at Leo.

He just nodded his head and said, "Okay, we'll you guys seem to have a handle on this. I'm going to bounce. Good luck!" He began to walk to the doors, but we ran after him.

"No, Leo! We need you! If we get caught, then Davenport will pull us out of school." Adam begged.

"Yeah, and he's not going to pull you out. You're useless to him." Bree said.

"Why can't you do it?" Leo asked me.

"I'm not getting another detention. Either let your siblings get kicked out of school or suck it up, buttercup." I said to him.

He gave me a look and then huffed, "Fine. Let me have it."

Bree handed him her back pack, and he pulled out the invisibility cloak. He put it on, and once he did, he turned invisible. We could only see his head. My eyes widened in amazement. I felt like I was Ron Weasley when I watched Harry Potter put on his invisibility cloak for the first time on Christmas.

"Woah!" I exclaimed and everyone agreed with me.

"Check it out! Follow the bouncing Leo!" He said. He began to jump up and down away from us and it was kind of funny because it just looked like a bouncing head.

"What an air head." Adam said to us, and I couldn't help but laugh.

———

It had been about fifteen minutes since Leo went into Perry's office, and we were all starting to grow impatient. It was stressing me out. I was pacing back and forth while the bionic siblings stood with me.

"What is taking Leo so long?" Bree groaned as parents started to show up for Parent Teacher night.

"Taking Leo so long to do what?" Davenport asked out of nowhere as him and Tasha walked over to us. We stood up quickly and smiled nervously at them.

"To go out, and, uh, get a job. The kid's got to leave the nest sometime, right?" Chase said nervously. He couldn't have came up with anything better?

"So where is my stellar student?" Tasha asked us and we all gave her weird looks. Who was she talking about.

"Leo. Where's Leo?" She asked us. As if on cue, Perry walked out of her office holding Leo by the arm.

"I don't know what you're up to, but I do know one thing, Dooley-Hello!" She said politely as a set of parents walked by. Once they were gone, she continued, "If I ever find you in my office again, I will break every single-help yourself to the cheese and crackers!" She said as another set of parents walked by.

We all walked over to them slowly and Leo put his arm around his mother, "Mom! This is Principal Perry. Principal Perry, my extremely sympathetic and understanding mother."

"I caught this troublemaker sneaking around in my office." Perry told Tasha and Davenport. I immediately started to feel bad for him.

"Troublemaker? Troublemaker?" Davenport asked as he placed his hands on Tasha, but he didn't sound like he was surprised. Perry nodded her head, and I knew she's been waiting to do this for a long time.

"Leo, what were you doing sneaking into this nice woman's office?" Tasha asked him.

"Oh, I wasn't sneaking into a nice woman's office. I was sneaking into her office." Leo said and I stifled a laugh.

Tasha gave Leo a look and whispered, "Leo!"

"I'm sorry. I can't tell you why." Leo apologized to his mother.

"This must be so difficult for you," Davenport said in a clearly fake upset tone and Tasha gave him a look. Davenport turned to us and asked, "Do you guys know anything about this?"

"Nothing." Adam said.

"Not a clue." Bree said.

"He's working alone." Chase said.

I sighed as I slowly walked over to them. I told Davenport, Tasha, and Perry, "Look, Leo didn't do this on his own. Perry took my phone this morning and she gave me a detention. I didn't want to risk getting another one so I asked Leo to sneak into her office and grab it for me. He was just trying to be a good friend. I'm sorry."

Tasha sighed in disappointment and looked at me, "Thank you for apologizing, but you know I'll have to tell your parents about this when they get back, right?" I nodded my head at her. Leo looked at me with his eyes widened and I just gave him a small smile. Tasha grabbed Leo's arm and pulled him away.

"I understand that you were trying to help, but I am very disappointed in you. You are not going to that concert." Tasha told him.

"What?!" Leo exclaimed, "But I-But they-But fine." He eventually gave up.

"What do you say we go into the gym and I show you that rope he can't climb?" Perry asked us. She laughed evilly and Tasha, Davenport, Leo, and I began to follow her. Leo and I looked back at Adam, Bree, and Chase and motioned towards Perry's office. Now was their chance to go get the hard drive. I just hope they don't screw it up.

———

After Perry showed Tasha and Davenport that made Leo and I look bad, she took us inside of her office. When we walked inside, there were four chairs lined up in front of her desk. I was about to bang my head through a wall.

"Don't you wish kids had a return policy?" Perry asked Tasha. Tasha laughed, but when Perry turned away, she gave Davenport a look. We sat down in the four chairs in front of her desk.

"Now, lets talk about the other three." Perry began.

"They're great, aren't they?" Davenport asked her.

"No." She disagreed, which seemed to make Davenport confused. Leo hit my arm, and when I looked over, I saw him looking up at the ceiling. When I looked up there, my eyes widened. Bree was sitting on the ceiling in front of us with the hard drive in her hand. What was she doing?!

"Do you know what's fascinating about this office? The floor, and I think everyone should look at it. Just look!" Leo said. I followed his lead quickly and began to look down at the floor. The adults just gave us confused looks.

"Hey, eyes on the prize!" Perry said to us, "Let's start with the tall one."

"Adam." Tasha told her.

"Yeah, or as I like to call him, empty box on a neck." Perry laughed. All of a sudden, Bree's piece of gum fell out of her mouth and Leo was quick to catch it. We all looked at him as he held the gum.

"Almost dropped my gum." Leo said. He cringed as he placed the gum in his mouth. I looked away disgusted.

"Hey, no gum in school! Spit it out!" Perry said as she grabbed the garbage can next to her desk.

"You couldn't have said that two seconds ago?" Leo asked her before spitting the gum out.

When Perry turned away, Bree's pink hair clip fell on the desk. That grabbed Davenport and Tasha's attention. The four of us looked up, and their eyes widened. Bree looked at them and waved nervously. When Perry turned back around, the four of us gave her nervous smiles.

When she saw the hair clip, she asked, "Where'd that come from?"

"It's-uh-uh," Davenport started to say.

"Mine!" I jumped in. I grabbed the clip and put it in my hair. She gave me a weird look and I said, "It's for windy days."

"You were saying?" Davenport asked her.

"Why tell you when I could show you? Where is that hard drive?" Perry said as she looked all over her desk, "Don't go anywhere or else! I mean, please, make yourselves comfortable."

Perry walked out of her office and I let out a sigh of relief. Bree jumped down from the ceiling and Davenport ran over to her.

"What is going on?" Davenport asked her.

"It's a long story." Bree told him.

"Well, talk fast!"

"We were hanging out in the hallway when Chase was like 'What's that noise?' and I was like 'Move!' and Adam was like 'I got it!' Then we used our bionics to save Leo and Haley from being pancaked by an air conditioner. Bad news. Camera recorded everything and it's all on this hard drive." Bree said quickly and finished with a nervous smile.

Davenport laughed sarcastically and asked, "Is that all?"

"And we used your invisibility cloak so your top secret million dollar technology may be ruined, but yeah, that's pretty much it." Bree said to him.

"Give me the hard drive! We have to get rid of it!" Davenport said. Bree handed him the hard drive, and when we heard Perry coming back, she jumped back up on the ceiling. Davenport turned back around, and Perry saw the hard drive in his hand. We were screwed.

"Found it." Davenport said nervously.

"Oh, I could kiss you." Perry said to him.

Davenport laughed and then said, "Please don't."

Perry grabbed the hard drive and walked around to her desk.

"Bree, what is taking so lo-" Adam's voice called out of nowhere. Him and Chase came running around the corner, and their eyes widened when they saw all of us, "I mean, oops! This isn't the men's room!"

"Why would I be sitting in the men's room?"
Perry asked them.

"Because anything else would be unladylike?" Chase said to her. When she gave him a look, him and Adam went to take off, "Bye!"

"Stop!" She yelled after them. "Turn!" She yelled and Adam did a spin. "Sit!" She yelled and Adam sat down on the floor. Chase gave him a look before pulling him off the floor and leading him to the couch.

"Just one more connection." Perry said as she hooked up the hard drive. When she went underneath her desk, Davenport motioned for Adam and Chase to go to him.

"Quick! Crush that hard drive!" Davenport said to Adam.

"But you told us to never use bionics in school!" Adam said to him. So now he decides to listen to him.

"And yet, here we are so forget what I said and crush it!" Davenport told him.

Adam looked around, but smiled at the clip in my hair, "Aw, Haley, that's so pretty. Is that something new you're trying?"

"Later Adam! Just break it!" I said as I pointed at the hard drive.

When Perry stood back up, Bree ran across the ceiling quickly, which caused all of the papers on Perry's desk to fly everywhere. While Perry turned around to shield her eyes, Adam grabbed the hard drive and crushed it in his hands. Once the wind died down, Perry turned around and we all tried to act casual. She gave us all weird looks.

"Talk about getting caught up in your work." Chase said with a grin. We all laughed nervously, except for Perry. When she saw the broken hard drive, she looked very angry.

"One of you did this! You, you, you, you, or you!" Perry said as she pointed to all of us, except for Tasha.

"Me? I was standing here the whole time! I didn't see anything!" Davenport exclaimed.

"This is not over!" Perry said.

"Oh, I think it is. Air conditioning units falling from out of nowhere, illegal back pack searches, recording students without consent. Does the school board know about any of this?" Davenport asked as we all began to circle around her desk.

She began to look nervous, but then she smiled, "Like I was saying, let's put this whole thing behind us."

She walked away and Leo said to Davenport, "Way to lawyer up, Big D."

He motioned for us to get out of there, so that was exactly what we did. After a night like this, I needed to go get some sleep.

———

When I thought my night couldn't get any worse, Perry found a way to make it worse. She was still upset about Leo sneaking into her office. She also still believed that I told him to do it, so she made both of us stay after Parent Teacher night to clean all of the bathrooms. It was awful because Perry never has those bathrooms cleaned. I was going to be smelling like cleaner for weeks. When we got back to their house, we found Davenport, Adam, Bree, and Chase in the lab.

"Where have you guys been?" Davenport asked us.

"Well, since we couldn't tell Principal Perry the truth, we had to clean every bathroom in the school. We've scrubbed, we've scraped, we got a little nauseous, but luckily we were in the bathroom so that worked out." Leo told them. I grabbed the bag out of Tasha's hand, and handed it to Davenport.

"Here's your invisibility cloak. Sorry that it's wet. We used it as a mop." I told him. He pulled out the soaked invisibility cloak and he looked disgusted. Adam, Bree, and Chase smiled before walking over to us.

"Guys, thanks for having our backs." Adam said to us.

"Yeah. It was cool of you guys to cover for us like that." Chase said to us with a small smile.

"It's not a big deal. Just remember you all owe me." I said as I pointed at all of them.

"Eh, it all worked out. We didn't get flattened by an air conditioner, your bionics didn't get exposed, and I still get to go to the Riff Raff Jammy Jam!" Leo said as he started to dance again.

"Cool, maybe we can all go." Bree suggested.

"Woohoo! We are going to the Riff Raff Jammy Jam!" Tasha cheered. She began to dance just as badly as Chase did earlier, and we all gave her weird looks.

"Not with moves like that." Leo said to her with his eyes widened.

Tasha just rolled her eyes as she hugged Leo tightly.
