Jeremy Heere had one of the worst diseases in existence.
It hurt so bad.
Why does love hurt this bad?
Jeremy Heere had Hanahaki disease.
He thought it was caused by Christine, and he eventually was in a relationship with her.
For about a day, he thought it was gone..
but..
It came back.
Christine wasn't the cause of the disease.
I was wrong.. He thought.
He had to tell her.
So he called her.
"Chrissy..?" He said.
"I was wrong.."
"About what?"
"My disease.. It wasn't you."
"So.. You never really loved me?"
"Christine, I--"
"Was this just a lie just so your stupid disease would go away?"
"No, I--"
"Never speak to me again."
And she hung up.
Jeremy broke down in sobs, tears pouring out as he started to cough.
Cherry blossoms and blood were flowing out of his mouth as he coughed and sobbed.
He picked up his phone and called Michael.
~Now, what's going on at Michael's place~
They didn't stop.
He thought they would.
But they didn't.
Blood.
Petals.
Blood.
Petals.
He couldn't stop coughing it up.
He had hidden it from his best friend for 11 years..
Then his phone rang.
"Shit." He choked out.
He swallowed down more petals and answered.
"Hey, Jer? What's up?"
Sobs could be heard.. That was all Michael needed.
"I'm coming over."
He hung up, grabbed some stuff, then rushed out the door.
He didn't even bother to knock, he burst through the front door and ran up to Jeremy's room.
"Jer.."
Jeremy looked up at Michael.
Staring..
He felt more petals and blood rising in his throat.
He coughed it all up.
"Jeremy!!" Michael yelled, rushing over to him.
"Michael.." Jeremy choked out, even more tears falling.
"Jeremy.. It's okay, it's okay..."
"C-can you kiss me?" Jeremy asked him, making Michael blush.
Michael felt the petals trying to come up. He couldn't suppress them.
He broke into a cough, coughing up petals and blood.
"Mikey!!" Jeremy rushed over to Michael, who was also crying at this point.
"J-Jer.. I-I'm so--..."
He was cut off.
Jeremy pulled Michael up and kissed him.
Michael was startled, but eventually melted into the kiss.
It was perfect, and neither of them wanted it to end.
But of course, stupid oxygen.
Then they realized something.
They exhaled clouds of smoke that matched the color of their petals just once, and just like that, the petals were gone.
"Mikey.." Jeremy said with a gasp.
Michael smiled. He then broke into a laugh.
He and Jeremy just sat there, laughing.
"It's gone." Jeremy said.
He and Michael kissed again.
"If I ever get you flowers.. I'm not even gonna look at the roses." Michael joked, he and Jeremy continuing to laugh.
"FUCK FLOWERS!!"
