Jake hesitatingly answered his phone, it was Rachel.
"Hi, Rachel." he said.
"Hi Jake...Uhmmm I wanted to ask you something." her voice sounded nervous.
"Yes, fire away, Rache.."
"I'm sorry, did something happen between us. I was too drunk to remember."
Jake's face flushed. She obviously didn't remember. Feeling annoyed, he was going to say yes, but decided against it. What's the point of telling her that, yes, something happened.
"No, Rachel. Don't worry, nothing happened."
"Oh, ok, thanks Jake. I just wanted to make sure. Sorry for the trouble again and thanks for taking care of me that night."
"No problem, I'd do the same thing for any other girl in need of help that night. NO worries."
And they ended the call, just like that. Jake is pissed but tried to forget about the call. He has more pressing things to do, like slowly unmask and find Nemesis.
