*Nathan's POV*
A second chance doesn't always mean a happy ending. Sometimes, it's just a chance to end things right for the both of you this time around.
Paulit-ulit kong naaalala yung sinabi nung babae sa kaibigan nya.
I stared gloomily at Gianna's back ahead of me. This is second chance, right? Fate is giving me another chance to... to what? For us to be together again? Or to end things right and part ways again? Ugh. I don't even want to think about it.
♪♫Drop everything now. Meet me in the pouring rain. Kiss me on the side walk, take away the pain.♪♫
Gianna took her phone out. I smiled. Di man nya pinalitan caller tone nya?
"Oh. Hello, Sam." she said. I felt my smile change into a grimace. "I'm with Nathan."
Di man lang sya bitter sa akin? Tss.
"Yes. Nathan." ulit niya sa pangalan ko. "Natamaan nya kasi yung smoothie ko kaya nabasa damit ko."
Di ata makapaniwala si Sam? Akala siguro maayos na kami ni Gi. I wish.
Gianna laughed. Ano kaya pinag-uusapan nila. Tss. "Alangan naman mag-dive ako dun sa fountain. Sa condo mo nalang ako maliligo."
Condo ni Sam!? Dun sya maliligo!? Oh, heck! "No!"
"Huh?" Gianna glanced at me. Sht. Napasigaw pala ako. "Anong 'no'? Napapano ka nanaman?"
Umiwas ako ng tingin. Pero, di naman tama na maligo sya sa condo ng lalaki! "M-maliligo ka sa condo ni Sam?"
"Oo. Kontra ka?" she raised her eyebrows. Damn! Why do you have to look gorgeous even in that bewildered look?! "Teka lang, Sammy. Magkakaliwanagan lang muna kami nitong lalaking to. Wait nalang kita dito sa may labas ng mall." she ended the call and glared at me.
"So," she started. "What were you saying?"
I tried to look at her eyes but failed. This is awkward and annoying. Why does it seems that I don't have an effect on her anymore? Dati, titigan ko lang sya, mamumula na. "Uhh. It's not right to be alone with a guy."
"Excuse me!? Who are you to tell that to me?"
Uhm... Your husband? "Concerned citizen?"
"Oh, shut up."
"Kayo ba?"
"Pake mo."
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Just stop nagging me." she rolled her eyes and started walking towards the exit of the mall.
But, that wasn't I meant. "Gi." I reached for her hand.
She sighed. "What?"
"I'm sorry." I repeated. "I really am. If only I have been more honest, maybe we're still together. If only I didn't ran after you causing you to runaway from me, we would still have our child. If only I realized earlier how I love you, I would marry you because of it. If only I didn't accept the deal, it wouldn't look like I just used you. If only--"
"Stop it." she told me. Then, she gently pulled her hand. "Don't think that because I've been so casual to you, I have forgiven you. You know what? If only I met Sam before I agreed to that effing contract, I would fall for him. If only I didn't lose our baby and found out about you and Gwen, I wouldn't hate you. If only I could turn back time, I will never fall in love with you."
I stared at her expressionless face. Tapos, napapikit nalang ako. That's what I was scared to see. Her eyes looking at me without love.
I opened my eyes and realized that she was staring at me. "What?"
Lumingon muna sya sa parating na kotse bago nagsalita. "You're still like a family, though. Don't be a stranger. Bye."
She headed to the car as Sam step out of it so he could open the door for her. But before entering the car, Sam said something to Gianna that made her laugh and hug him tight.
If only she met Sam before signing the contract, huh? Looks like they're together now, though.

I took off my coat then threw it at the laundry basket then pressed the voice message of my phone. Patay sindi kasi. Meaning, may tumawag kanina.
"Hello, Nathan." Oh. Tumawag pala si lolo eh. "How was the business proposal? I just want to remind you that we already partnered with the Lopez Group before. If that helps, congrats."
Oh, hell. Nakipag-deal na nga pala si lolo sa tatay ni Sam dati! Ba't ba nalimutan ko? Mas focus kasi ako sa Asia eh.
I decided to take a bath first. While I'm at it, I can't help but remember Gi. What if madulas sya paglabas nya ng CR? Eh di tutulungan sya ni Sam?! Eh kaya lang, pano nun yun!? Nakatakip lang si Gi ng tuwalya?! Pano kung matanggal yun?! Tangna. Baka matempt yung gag*ng Sam na yun! Tangna talaga. Kahit sinong makakita sa katawan ni Gi, magnanasa eh! Ang ganda ng katawan ni Gi! Lalo na ngayon. Kaninang nagbibihis palang sya, naaalala ko nung kami pa...
Sht!
Tinodo ko yung malamig na tubig galing sa shower. Ako ata yung matetempt eh. Hindi si Sam.
I sighed. Then, I ended my bath. Siguro kailangan ko na magmove on. But, atleast, let me work with Gianna one last time. Even if she'll work with me as Chloe, that would be just fine.
Paglabas ko ng banyo, saktong nag-beep yung voice message ko. Di ko naabutan yung tawag. Pero, sino naman kaya tong tumatawag?
"Nathan," I sighed when I recognized Gwen's voice. "Would you want a garden wedding or church wedding? And, when will you call me? I can't reach your phone. Call me."
I sighed again. I shouldn't have signed that annulment paper.

*Sam's POV*
I stared at Gianna's face. Simula nakita nya si Nathan at dumating kami dito sa condo, nanahimik na sya.
"Best?" I called.
"Hm?"
"Tahimik mo?"
"Ah. Wala lang."
I sighed then headed to the kitchen to drink.
"Let's get married."
I choked myself with the water causing me to cough many times. "You kidding?!"
She laughed out loud but I just stared at her. "Kind of?" she said.
Seriously? Marry her? Marry Gianna? Are you kidding me? Eh di parang nanalo ako sa lotto ng maraming maraming beses pag nangyari yun!
"Don't joke around, Gi." I told her. "Because I might just do that."
She glanced at me and I stared at her seriously. "I don't want to let Nathan ruin what I did for myself."
I clasped her face with my hands then kissed the top of her head. "I don't want to see tears of pain coming from your eyes." If only I can make sure that you will never cry because of sadness again.
She sighed. "Thanks, best."
I grinned at her. "I'll marry you if you can at least forgive Nathan and show him that you already have moved on."
"But I have."
"Prove it, sweetheart." I smiled at her then, patted her cheek.
"How?"
I grinned at her. Dapat hindi ko ibibigay sa kanya tong project no to. But, everything has a purpose. "Nathan called while you were taking a bath." I told her.
"He called? Why?"
"We made a contract. You'll design the school they'll be building. I want you to personally deal with it. Not as Chloe. But as Gianna." I held her hand and squeezed it gently. "After this, if you want me to marry you for real, then, I will."
She frowned at me. I traced it with the tip of my hands. I hope you've moved on, Gi. "Are you serious? I was just joking, best. I don't want to take away the chance of you falling in love."
I smiled widely at her. How can I not fall for her? "But, I am in love."
"See? If you marry me, you won't have a chance with that girl."
"She's giving me the chance. But, I want to know if she really moved on." I smiled at her.
Napatitig sya sa akin. "You're kidding."
"Huh?"
"You're in love with me! Hahaha!"
I felt my stomach flip. Di ako prepared! XD "You took long enough to realize it."
"I'm dumb before." she chuckled.
I felt tingling sensations in my stomach. Ganto ba pag kinikilig? XD Walangya. I'm like, 22. Pero parang teen ager parin ako pag dating kay Gi. XD "And that's what I love about you."
Tumawa lang sya kaya napatawa narin lang ako.
"If this project ends great, we'll do anything you want." I winked at her.
"I say, go get a wedding planner." she grinned. "Because we'll be marrying each other."
I pinched the tip of her nose. Babaeng to. Pinapakilig ako. Mehe. XD "So, do I get the beneficits of a boyfriend? Wait. I think it's 'fiance,' right? Haha."
"Can you hear me complaining?" Gianna grinned.
I took her hand and played with it. "I do want to do it. But," I kissed her hand gently. "Let's not rush it."
She smiled and kissed me on the cheeks.

*Gianna's POV*
I was serious when I asked Sam to marry me. And I didn't expect him to agree. But, there's a catch: I must prove that I don't have feelings with Nathan.
I felt my heart clench. Damn! Kayang-kaya nya na sirain lahat ng ginawa ko. I won't let that happen. I don't want to fall for his stupid charm again. And if Sam helped me before, I'm sure he can make me fall for him. And if I want to fall again, I want to fall for Sam.
I sighed. If only I can teach my heart.
