Dear Dad,
That day you left me at Aldertree, if I had known you weren't going to come back for me I wouldn't have let go of your hand so easily.
Now, it's been so long I can hardly remember what your hand felt like.
To be honest with you, I could make this long. I really could, but I've said my long pieces to you.
Me living with that stubborn, foolish hope you'd come back for me is like me saying I've been waiting all night for you tell me I'm your son.
