After the dance we all started to head back inside
Ethan and I decided I split up to find Grayson
While looking Brie and Olivia stopped me "What was that about?"
"I have no idea. When I came down Grayson wasn't there so Ethan danced with me"
They stared at me for a bit. It looked like they were gonna say something but stopped themselves "we'll help you find him"
After a few minutes we all met up and still had no idea where he was
"Have you seen Julia? She should have been here by now" a lady says walking past us "I don't know she won't answer the calls" her friend said
We all had the same idea and began to run outside
"Brie!" A voice yelled and we all turned around
We saw Dylan, Brie's escort, walking towards us "where you guys goin?"
We all look at each other not knowing what to do
"Dylan just go back inside" "but Brie-" "now" her voice slightly raised into a demanding tone
He was takin aback and we all just ran
Grayson's POV
I start pacing around
I figured out how to compel her so stay calm so she just watched me
"Are you ok?" She asked. I chuckled "no im not ok. I want to do a very bad thing but I can't" "What bad thing?" I turned to her
"I want to suck every ounce of blood from your body leaving you as nothing but a dry bag of bones. I'm the good brother, I just need to control myself"
"Well why don't you?" "Im the good brother I can't. What if won't be able to stop"
"I trust you"
"you trust me?"
She nods
"Ok uh just a little. Only a few seconds" I inch closer to her and start to bite down in her neck but I was wrong
I couldn't control it
I closed my eyes and felt her fall weaker in my arms
"Grayson!"
Isabella's POV
We found him and a girl in the woods
He was about to kill her when Ethan yelled out "Grayson!" He pulled him off of her but Grayson flung Ethan away from him
I saw his eyes, hungry
"Gray calm down" I say he looks around "Isabella?" Ethan crawls to the girl and checks her pulses "she's barley alive"
We heard footsteps behind us and turned around to see Dylan watching all of us
"Jesus Christ man don't you listen" Ethan let out as he walks towards Dylan
"What the hell is going on? Why is she bleeding?" He pointed out. Ethan stopped in front of him "Listen man I'm gonna need you to calm the fuck down"
Brie tried to stop whatever Ethan was about to do "Ethan don't-" Dylan slightly pushed Ethan's shoulder "dude don't tell me to calm the fuck down"
"Dylan stop" Brie demanded. "No he doesn't get to tell me what to do"
Ethan's hands began to ball up into fist. Even though his back was towards us I could imagine his glare
I saw his arms lift and I thought he was gonna punch him but instead he grabbed his collar and pulled him in
"Get out of here. This never happened"
He roughly let go and Dylan walked off
I was surprised a fight didn't break out

Ethan, Grayson and I make it to their place. Ethan walks upstairs but Grayson and I stay in the living room to talk
"Bella I'm so sorry I missed the dance" "Dont be it's my fault. You weren't ready to be out in and around so many people quiet yet"
"This isn't your fault, I'm just sorry you were all by yourself"
"Tt's fine. Since you weren't there I danced with Ethan instead"
"with Ethan?"
I looked into his eyes and saw an unexpected anger
"Hey, Grayson listen to me. All your emotions are magnified. Your gonna make a bigger deal out of something that means nothing. You just have to calm down"
What I said didn't face him as he got up and walked into Ethan's room
"You danced with Bella?"
Ethan jumped up from his bed clearing getting ready to sleep
"Well you gave me no choice. What was I going to do? Let her be humiliated?"
"You knew what you were doing"
"Yeah actually I didn't but maybe if you weren't having a breakdown and was on the verge of murder this wouldn't have happened"
Grayson looks at him and quickly pushes him in the face. Ethan falls which Grayson gets on top of him and continues punching
"GUYS!" I yelled but nothing stopped. Ethan pushes Grayson into his dresser causing it to break
Grayson tried to jump on top of him again but Ethan quickly find a piece of wood and puts it into his stomach
Grayson stops and falls on his knees. I run to him and yank it out and look up and Ethan
He looked surprised at what he did and left the room. A few seconds later I heard the front door open and close signally that he had left

Brie's POV
I walk into Mystic Grill for a date with Dylan
He asked me after the winners was announced and I was hesitant but said yes
I had to get my mind off of Grayson, I couldn't let my feelings for him control me
I sit and a booth then looked in my purse for my phone
I took it out and looked up to see someone sitting in front of me
"Sitting all by yourself?"
"No waiting on a date and maybe if you were nicer you would have one too" "ouch. We barely know each, Why can't we be friends?" "Because you compel my best friend to drive down a cliff"
"Didn't he kill you?"
"Only because your sister focused him by compelling him. He would have never done that to me" "are you sure?" I roll my eyes
"Oh come on immortality rules all, that kid is gonna thank me for what I did" "did you thank your parents?"
I see Dylan walk towards us in the corner of my eye
"Hey" I say "hey" he seemed confused. "Uh he was just leaving" Michael looked at me then mwalked out. Dylan sat down and said "who was that?" "No one. Trust me"

Isabella's POV
I hear a ring at the door
I open it to see Olivia eager to come inside
"Why so jumpy?" "I found this in a book at my house" she hands me a piece of old brown paper
"What is it?" "It's in French but I translated it and" her sentence was delayed by the smile that spread across her face
"What? What is it?" "It's a cure. I can make a cure"
"You can make it?" "It's a major spell but I think I can do it. I know I can"
"Why are you telling me this?" "I don't know. I just thought that someone... anyone might want it"
I run over to Grayson's house and he opens it "hey" I walk in "Olivia found something. A cure"
"a cure? For..." "Yes"
"She can make one. If you want it" he looked at me confused "why are you asking me? Why don't you take it?"
"Because I know how much you loved being human. And plus I don't need it" "being human without you isn't an option"

Once I made it home I sit on my porch and slowly watch the sun go down
My mind is filled with thoughts
I looked up at the sky to see all the tiny stars, never seen them so bright before
I see Ethan walking up and sit next to me from the corner of my eye
"I came to say sorry"
"I'm not who you should be apologizing to"
"I know and I did"
Silence took over for awhile. Until he said "I have something for you"
He pulls out a small jewelry box and I open it
It was a ruby jewel necklace
It was beautiful and the more I looked at it the more it looked familiar
"Is this the-" "Yeah. I kinda stole it from Olivia. Plus it's your birthstone so I thought you might want it"
I smiled and closed the box "I love it. Thank you"
"I heard you guys today" he blurts out "Talking about the cure. I know you lied and said you were ok"
"he doesn't deserve this" "neither do you" "neither do you" he was silent
"Would you do it?" He asked
"Do what?"
"Take it with him"
"I- i don't know"
"Why do you do this?" I say and stand from the steps
"Do what?" "Mess with my head. One minute I like you the next I hate you" he looked at me for a while and I realized what I said
He stood up "you like me?"
"Of course I like you. Why do you I have to say it?"
"Because you shouldn't" he starts to walk away but I run after him "Why do you do that? Stop pushing people away"
"I'm not worth it" He slightly yells causing me to step back a little
"I'm not worth you. I am a selfish, selfish person who feels guilty for even talking to you right now. Looking at you gives me pain. But I can't think about that because your my brothers girl. But I do...all the time so that, that right there makes me feel guilty"
He starts to walk down the stairs to leave but he stops
"no. No if I'm gonna feel guilty about something I'm gonna feel guilty about this" he runs up the stairs and kisses me
It lasted a few seconds and we pulled away
He stared at me and I heard the door open
"Bella it's getting late" I walk inside
