The Gang

detention

5th and 6th period came and went and now I'm walking to the lecture hall for detention and I'm not looking forward to this at all. I walked in and signed in with the advisor and then sat down and soon enough Chloe showed up as well and after a little bit of sitting there I realized detention was only us.
Advisor- I have a meeting to go to I trust you two can refrain from getting in another fight while I'm gone
I nodded and just sat there in silence until she broke it
Chlo- I don't know why you can't just accept my apology I mean how many more times do I have to say sorry
L- it doesn't matter how many times you say sorry the fact is I can't trust you and you really drew the line with the last stunt and that part you weren't even sorry about all you cared about was Daltons car or anything to do with Dalton
Chlo - I didn't know your parents passed away
L- I don't care if you knew or not when you did it but we told you later on that those pictures were all we had left of them and you didn't even try to apologize
Chlo- would it really have made any difference if I did
L- I probably wouldn't have fought with you
Chlo- only probably
L- yup
She sighed and then we sat in silence again well at least til she once again broke it.
Chlo- I am honestly sorry I could only imagine how hard it is just having your brother
L- yeah a brother that I've almost lost countless times already
Chlo- if you see he comes close to death so often why are you so insistent on being in the gang as well
L- because if he's going to risk his life for me I feel I should be able to do the same for him
Chlo- but he can't lose you
L- and I can't lose him why is that so hard for people to understand
Chlo- maybe since you have a new person looking put for you
L- cole has nothing to do with me not being allowed in
Chlo- maybe maybe not but all I know is it's definitely something to think about
And that was the last thing I heard from her the whole time I was in here cause she went on her phone for the rest of detention while I worked on my homework. But it was hard to concentrate when I couldn't help but wonder if she was actually right.
