Asami POV
I was scared, I didn't know how people would react me breaking up with mako, I walk in only to find most people staring at me, then I spot korra so I walk over to her
"Hey korra, how did you sleep" I ask her, She turns towards me and she has a black eye
"How did that happen" I say touching it gently and she flinches
"I got in a cross fire of a fight, my wound hasn't opened up though so I'm ok" she says smiling at me
"Good we should get some ice on that" I say as we walk to our next class
"Nah I'm good don't worry" she says as a group of mako boys stopped us
"Hey Asami how are you dump Mako, he thought you loved him" one of them says
"Your such a slut" another one says
"Yeah you were just using him "
As they say those words they hit me like acid like my nightmare, suddenly one is knocked back by a gust of air and then another is tripped up by some lifted tiles which I'm sure we're normal just a couple of seconds ago, thank you avatar you kept your promise
"If you knew what really happened you wouldn't be saying those things" Korra defends me
"Ha the loser thinks she is strong" one of them says, suddenly Korra pushes him back into the lockers and she lifts him up by his jacket
"Dare say one more bad word about Asami and I won't be the only person with a black eye today" she drops him and he runs away, I look at her in shock, she went out of her comfort zone to protect me
"Thank you" I say setting my hand on her shoulder and she looks up to me and smiles
We walk into our next class together and we sit down, no one even dares to look at us
"Hello class today, we are going to study the avatar" the teacher begins, suddenly korra tenses up and she pulls her sleeves over her hands
"As you know bending is illegal, the avatar can bend all four elements and the different branches inside those elements, such as metal bending, electricity" she continued and then I think about mako he can bend electricity, no stop that he isn't your friend anymore
"The avatar is a fugitive, people argue that it's not fair for them to be fugitive because they weren't given a choice when they were born" I looked over to korra and I could see tears in her eyes
"Hey is everything ok" I whisper to her
"Yeah I'm fine"
"No your not what's wrong what did the avatar have to do with you"
"I have history with them and I can't say I enjoy it" she says then the teacher disturbs us
"Girl anything you want to say to the class" she says
"Actually yes there is Miss" I say and everyone's eyes go to me but I could feel korra's hand on top of mine and that gave me comfort
"I have seen the avatar, I even have a video of them, in the video you can see the avatar defending themselves against some police men attacking" I say to the class and they stare at me in awe
"Do you have this video" the teacher asks
"Yeah" suddenly I could feel korra gripping my hand harder "But I want to share it because I assume the avatar wants there life to be private don't you think and maybe some people in here are maybe scared of the truth that we may be wrong about benders" I finish and I could feel korra pulling away
"Very well" the teacher says but of course someone had to disturb the peace
"Your lying, she must be, the avatar is evil and shouldn't have any rights" Kuvira shouts up
"I'm not, we are almost adults please can we keep this professional" I ask her
"She must be lying" someone else says, then Korra gets up and runs out of the class room
"Korra wait" I say getting up and taking my stuff and running after her
"Please leave me alone" she yells back as she runs into the bathroom and I go in and she is no where to be seen she must be in a stall
"Come on please Kuvira is just being a bully you know that" I tell her but no response "please the Avatar isn't Evil and they should have rights" I tell her
Then korra walks out with tears going down her face
"Hey it's ok I'm right here" I say hugging her and I set my head on top of the smaller girl
"Please" she mumbles
"I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere" I tell her stroking her brown hair and then she just melts into the hug
"I'm sorry it's just..." she starts
"It's what come on you can tell me"
"Well I took those insults a little personal, I know the avatar on a personal level and she is a good friend" she mumbles
"No way, I know her as well, she is cool, she often needs my help so I help her" I tell her overjoyed that someone else know avatar
"She appreciate its"
"Shall we go back to class" I ask her
"Yeah I'm ready"
As she finished we walk out and went back to class and made our excuses
"Asami is there any chance you can show us that video" the teacher asks and look at korra and she nods
"Yes I think I can" I say taking my phone out and every one except Kuvira and her Gang gather around me and I play the video, everyone stares in awe
"Thank you Asami, I should have never believed you had lied" the teacher says
"It's ok don't worry but I can't give this to anyone I know it's illegal" i say sadly
"I know you should bring that to the police" she says
"Yeah I know but I would like to keep this for myself" I say everybody sits down again and then the bell rings, and korra and I walk out.
"Thank you for letting me show it" i thank korra
"It's ok, thank you for going after me" she says as we walk into our next class and we sit down
"I'm just glad that your ok and that you know you can talk to me about anything" I tell her and she smiles at me with her black eye
"Hello class today is a day off, so you can go home or go to your homeroom" she says, nice I can invite korra over
"Hey korra do you want to come over"
"I would like to but I can't, I have things to do today" she says, I'm a little disappointed but it's ok
"Ok I will be at my place of you need me"I say walking out and going to my car, once I got home, I decide I would see how bolin was, I stilled liked him it wasn't his fault(italics is the texting)
A:Hey bolin, we haven't talked in a while, how are you keeping up
B:Hey Asami I'm sorry we lied to you, I have always wanted to tell you but mako said not to I'm sorry
A:Hey it's ok but please be honest with me next time
B:promise by the way you seem to be quite close with the new girl
A: yeah she is really sweet but she is really nervous
B:sound like someone got a crush
A:maybe but I like someone else
B:talk about confusion, so describe them
A: well she is quite the opposite, she confident and really flirty
B: who is she
A: I can't tell sorry
B:it's ok by the way I have bad news, I think mako is crushing on korra
A: no way she is mine
B:someone getting feisty
A:maybe
B:look I'm sorry about what happened hopefully we can hang out school tomorrow
A:yeah see ya tomorrow bo
B:see ya Sami
A: please don't call me that someone else calls me that
B: fair enough see ya
