A.N We're getting to the exciting bit now as this is the last chapter of this book. The sequel is called Revisited and will be up very soon as I'm gunna try and finish The Daughter Of Aslan. Revisited will be set during Iron Man 2 to Avengers. There will be a few chapters after Iron Man 2 to do with Steve coming back so be ready for them.

After 9/11 I was praised by a lot of people for what I did. I finally caught up with Joanne a week after and turns out she was an Agent for SHIELD. She was undercover and ended up in the North Tower at the wrong time. I'm glad I saved her now as we've become pretty close and I know I can trust her. It's the same with Agent Sykes. I went to him as soon as I came back to work and thanked him for helping me and he thanked me for doing what I did. Nick is okay with me being close with them but I know I can't get too close in case I lose them on a mission.
Lately I've decided to try and live life like a person, not an Agent. I wanted to be more like a human not a weapon for SHIELD to use. I was sick of living in SHIELD so I asked Nick if I could move into an apartment. He agreed and let me buy one. It's in New York, where I've been my entire life, as I wanted to really check out New York and see what changed. I couldn't last time because, well you know why.
Because I wanted to live a normal life I decided to get a tattoo. Don't give me that look okay? I wanted a tattoo since I heard about them as they're pretty cool. Plus it isn't that big. It's just three birds on my right wrist. It represents Freedom as I am a free person and I do not belong to anybody. I am free to live my life as I want and do what I want. I got three to represent me, Steve and Bucky. It shows even without them I'm still with them, if you get what I'm saying. I also decided to dye my hair blonder to create a new look for me. I'm one for going out there and trying new things.
I've kept an eye on Tony and he's still up his own arse. It's not hard to keep an eye on him as he's in the public eye every day and has a big arse tower that I can see from my bedroom window. It has STARK on the side in big letters so it's kinda easy to see it. He also has a house in Miami that I keep an eye on too. I really wanna go visit but he'll probably kick me out.
There's also been a 'superhero' called Iron Man flying around New York. No one knows who he is or why he's doing the things he is and Nick is started to wonder if we should get involved. He hasn't done anything bad yet so I say let him do what he does.
Back to now and I'm currently in my apartment reading up on a new case. This guy has apparently tried to recreate the super serum and it didn't work. A lot of people have tried to recreate it but none have been this bad. The guy apparently changed into something called The Hulk when he's angry. Remind me not to get on his bad side.
A knock then came at my door making me shut the file quickly and shoved it under a pillow. I straightened my shirt and got up to answer the door. I groaned seeing who it was through the peep hole.
"Morning" Tom said walking into my apartment with a doughnut in his hand.
"Don't you have a place to live or a girlfriend to see or even a job to do?" i asked shutting the door as he sat on the sofa. He reached behind the pillow to get the file I just hid.
"Oooo I haven't seen this one yet." He started opening it but I snatched it off him. "Hey!" he complained with his mouthful of doughnut.
"Not your case" I warned going to my room and hiding it behind my mirror. When I walked back in the living room Tom had turned the news on. "Again, why are here?" I crossed my arms.
"Your little friend Tony is holding a press conference right now. Phil's there." I frowned wondering why Phil was there. "Look it's starting" Tom moved up for me to sit down which I did. I watched as Tony walked up to the podium with his good friend Rhodey. I've read about Rhodey and he seems to be taking care of Tony from time to time. I also heard Tony has an assistant called Pepper who I feel really sorry for. She has to put up with Tony, feel her pain.
"Um, it's been a while since I've stood in front of you. I'd figured I;d stick to cards this time" Tony said holding up note cards. The reporters laughed a little but I kept a straight face. This guy was the little baby Tony that was so cute and innocent. But he grew up, and I can't help but say I am proud of him. "There's a little speculation that I was involved in the events that occured on-" He started but a woman interrupted him.
"I'm sorry Mr Stark but do you honestly expect us to believe that that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared, despite the fact that.."
"I know it is confusing." Tony interrupted her and made a weird face. It is one thing to question the official story and another thing to entirely make wild accusations and insinuate that I'm a superhero" I frowned ion confusion and looked to Tom who was looking at me just as confused. A superhero? Tony? Yeah, next joke please.
"Oh I never said you were a superhero" The woman bit back. I bit my lip and thought damn that girl is a bitch.
"Well good because that would be outlandish and fantastic. I'm just not the hero type, clearly with this laundry list of character defects and all the mistakes I've made widely public." Rhodey then whispered something in his ear making Tony nod. He then held up the cards to read. I was interested on what he had to say. "The truth is" He looked at the cards wanting to read what was on them but also looked like he didn't want to. He then looked to the crowd with a brave look on his face. "I am Iron Man" He said making me widen my eyes and Tom nearly choke on his doughnut. I saw the reporters go crazy.
"Do you think he's telling the truth Ash?" Tom asked me and I sighed knowing what I had to do.
"Yeah. I think he is."

I drove up to Tony's Miami house and parked outside. I knew he had a computer names Jarvis that was the security for the whole house. I knew he wasn't home yet so I took advantage of this and tried to get inside.
"Alert. Intruder." I heard Jarvis say. I shushed him but he ignored. "Who are you and what is your business here? Mr Stark is not home yet."
"I know he isn't. I want to be here when he does." I said and Jarvis was quiet. "Name is Ashley Gomez, or Agent Gomez. I'm a old friend of Tony's and a good friend of his fathers."
"Agent Gomez of SHIELD recognized. You may enter Ms Gomez." I smiled and out my hand on the door. "But please don't touch anything" I rolled my eyes and walked into the dark house. I smiled at how good Tony had done for himself. The living room was huge. I jogged up to the big window and looked out. The view was breathe taking. Wished I lived in a place like this.
"Welcome home sir" I heard Jarvis say. I took a deep breathe and kept looking out the window. It's time to face the music.
"Thank you Jarvis" I heard his voice. I heard his footsteps stop at the stairs and I knew he could see me.
"I am Iron Man" I said not turning around. "Trust you to say something like that."
"Who are you and how did you get into my house?" I smiled to myself and hoped he didn't kick me out once he saw me.
"Oh come on Tony. I thought it would be easy by now" I said before turning round to face him. He took my breathe away. Not in a romantic way of course but in the way that I am so surprised to see him all grown up. It's weird seeing him like this.
"Ashley?" he whispered stepping closer to me.
"Hey Tony. It's been a long time." I said stepping more into the light.
"You're telling me. All these years and now you wanna drop in and say hi." I put my head down knowing I had been a bad friend. I should have called him but was too scared to be shunned by him. I looked up and he was now in front on me.
"I'm sorry, Tony. I just got caught up in my work and when I wanted to something always got in the way. And plus I was scared you would shun me." I said trying not to get upset.
"Oh Ashley. I would never shun you." He said holding my shoulders to look at him. "I'm just annoyed you didn't call once"
"I know, I'm sorry. I'm such an idiot."
"No you're not. I'm more of an idiot than you. I should have called if you couldn't. But I guess we were both busy." He smiled at me and I smiled back. "Don't I get a hug from my favourite Agent?" He asked stepping back and holding his arms out for me. I smiled and hugged him tight. I missed Tony a lot. From now on, me and Tony are going to be doing a lot more things together. Now that I know he's Iron Man I can get down to business.
"I'm also guessing you didn't come here just to say Hi." He said rubbing the back of his neck and I nodded. "Go on, lay it on me." He said sitting on the back of his sofa.
"I need to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative"

I cannot wait to start working on the sequel and I hope you can't wait to read the sequel as we all know what happens. (HINT: Steve comes back) I can't wait to have Steve and Ashley back together. It's going to be awesome.
