I was scared of losing you.
I was insecure.
But you made everything okay again.
You made all of my insecurities go away.
You made me feel good about myself.
You made me feel loved.
You calmed me down.
You gave me confidence.
How was it that you were the one in the hospital bed fighting for life yet I was the one who was so weak.
I remember one time, before you were tangled in tubes and wires and in a hospital bed, I was alone at home, just thinking about random shit.
Some bad memories came back.
It made me feel all messed up.
You came home to see the place all messed up.
You came home to see me sitting in the corner of the room, staring at the wall.
I remember you calming me down, cleaning up the whole place, wrapping me in blankets and giving me hot chocolate.
I remember you cuddling me and telling me that everything was okay now.
I felt like such a softie.
I remember letting my guard down for the first time.
I remember feeling safe.
I remember feeling happy.
