*Skylar's POV *
I entered the building kinda worried about Jason's reaction .
I quickly made a run to the elevator without looking at any employee since they would be talking gossip and judging me especially that I'm late to work plus they have nothing else to do around here .
I knocked on Jason's door I heard a faint come in .
"I'm sorry Jason , Daniel and Emily distracted me I'm really sorry I'll work extra tonight " I said but Jason didn't even look at me oh so were back to that .
"I don't care your late u work night hours ." I nodded but he wasn't done he looked at me with angry dark eyes . "don't think that if were dating now you have some kind of special treatment your late to work I don't want that to happen again " he shouted and I got angry I never said I wanted special treatment .
"I never expected special treatment and if you would listen for once you would know that I'm going to work the night hours ." I snapped back he looked pretty shocked I was going to laugh at the face he gave me but restrained myself .
"I don't care , I have a meeting I don't want you to come with me do your work .......... good bye ! " He said standing up and retrieving his jacket and slamming the door behind him.
I sighed and went to my office .
2hours later Jason wasn't back he texted me saying he isn't coming back before 6 pm .
"He most be really mad. " I thought . I was going to lunch it was nearly 1 pm. I stood up but a knock on my door stopped my movement but the most unexpected visitor was standing at the door
Stephanhy .
She smiled at me and I shook my head for her to come in she was wearing a pretty red dress she cut her hair, her blond strands are now darker and shorter reaching under her ear , she looks good .
"Hello Skylar . " She said while sitting on the chair and I sat on my chair too .
I didn't know why she was here or why the change of heart last night but I didn't question it.
"Hey miss Prescott if you need Jason he's not here . " Maybe she's here for work or something .
"Oh no and call me Steph . I actually came here to talk to you ." I nodded not know what she would want to talk to me about .
"I'm ready to tell you my story . " She declared in a confident tone .
"What do you mean " I asked .
" I know that Jason won't tell you his background story so I will you have the right to know every thing . last night I was watching you and Jason you both seemed happy and I know after summer Jason wouldn't go out with anyone so seeing you go out with him surprised me at first I thought your a gold digger but last night you showed me you cared so I'm gonna explain this whole mess for you . " She told me all in one breathe .
I'm not gonna lie I always wanted to know their background story and now I'm getting my wish .
"Okay I'm ready . " I said making myself comfortable it seems like a long story since it's definitely a huge mess .
" okay so it all started in college we were all good friends best friends . were known to be inseparable we were known as 8 best friends : me , Jason , Mark , Summer , Daniel , Austin , Duke , Stacey , and peter .
The only two that were dating at that time were Stacey and Peter . We were all friends Stacey and Jason were the most inseparable and daniel and I were also inseparable I had this big crush on him back then but he only use to see me as a friend .
Last year of uni Summer and Jason started dating actually his mother set them up ,that's why Jason hates his mothers taste .
We graduated 3 month later everything was perfect peter and Stacey were going strong and so were Jason and Summer and Daniel and I were still friends but Summer had found out about my crush and teases me about it all the time oh and austin was dating a girl too , duke wasn't really the dating type back then he only focused on his studies .
The problems started after their 6 month anniversary Summer has been searching for a job near Jason's company but she couldn't find one , so being the possessive and demanding asshole he is he got summer a job to be his assistant and of course she accepted . after that duke moved away to London for work . Stacey and Peter so did mark moved to New York together .
1 year of summer and Jason dating passed , summer use to nag since Jason was all the time consumed in his job so she began drinking and partying more she became uncontrollable .
On there year and half anniversary Summer was drunk so when they made love that night they didn't use protection .
A month later summer called me from the doctor tell me she got an abortion . I asked her if Jason knows she told me no one knows and she didn't believe Jason was capable of taking care of a baby so she took the decision alone .
After 2 month of lying to Jason was too much for me so I confessed everything to him trust me the look in his face was unforgettable he was angry, sad ,happy . he of course lashed out at Summer and said he needed time so she blamed everything on me but the way she got back at me was unforgivable .
Daniel and I had been getting more and more close and she knew my feelings for him were strong to get back at me she slept with Daniel .
They were both at a party summer made sure daniel was drunk as hell so she can get her way with him and she was sure I was there watching them . she texted me from Daniel's phone to meet them there so I did what I was told found them in a room daniel passed out and naked and summer smirking evilly at me .
But thank god I was with Jason that night and he caught summer and broke everything off .
Jason of course forgave Daniel it wasn't his fault technically he didn't remember anything .
Except that summer told him that I loved him so he asked me about that and I told him everything and he rejected saying that he didn't feel this way and blabla the usual ur beautiful girl u deserve better .
I know what your thinking how did Jason and I start dating ?
Easy two broken hearted People started hanging out and eventually started dating .
First I was getting back at summer so she moved away to London that's where she met duke her current boyfriend
Second Jason was also getting back at summer and getting away from his mothers match making girls . His mother isn't a big fan of Victoria secret models.
We were fine the first 6 month it wasn't really a relationship but it was working .
summer got in contact with me again and announced her return.
So I urged Jason for us to move together and Jason has changed since his break up with summer her coming back was a disaster for him so he accepted .
then she was back .when she found out about us living together she did everything to bug us so Jason worked more.
Mark and Peter and Stacey all came back , so mark needed a place to live and I helped him so we became close and I guess I actually fell in love .
In college mark and I weren't close he was a real jerk then he left to NYC to work he came back different .
Then u came along I was actually jealous of how quick he trusted u but then mark made me realize that I should be happy and so I am I really am . " she finally finished
"Oh my god that all happened in 3 and half years ??? " I asked
She nodded probably out of breathe .
"You know you've been telling this story for 3 hours ? " I said looking at my watch wow nearly 4 I shrugged , well it's not like I'm leaving early .
"Yep . Well I have to go hope u enjoyed the messed up story bye . " She stood up and we hugged each other .
"Bye " I said closing the door behind her .
Hugh! back to work .
