Haya frowned and sent deathly glares to the tyre. If tyre would have been a human, it might have been under the ground by now.
"Why? Why do you always leave me?" She said dramatically and kicked the tyre of her car furiously
"Haya?"
Zayer's voice made her turn around "Hey!" She smiled
"What happened?" He enquired
She pointed towards the punctured tyre and sighed "This traitor tyre is going to make me late for university" She said
"Don't worry. I will drop you in my car" Zayer offered
"No it's alright. I will go on my own. You will get late for office"
"It's alright. Plus i am not excited about seeing my Uncle's face" He said
"Ok. Thank you" Haya said and both walked towards his car
"Oh and by the way, for the future reference .." Zayer said as they reached to his car "Tyres don't speak or listen, so never ever speak to them again" He joked
"Shut up!"
They both cracked into laughter and slipping into car, they drove off
"Thanks for the ride. Its fun spending time with you"
"I am glad you don't hate my company"
"Me too" Haya replied and opening the car door, she stepped out
"Best of luck" Zayer said
"Thank you"

'I am waiting for you outside'
She found Amaan's message as she came out of examination hall.
'What are you doing here?' She replied
'I am here to pick you up'
And he indeed was, leaning on one side of his car and waiting for her in all his glory
"Hey!" She said
"Hey! How did you do?"
"Good. I think i will pass" She said shrugging her shoulders.
"That's good. Now we can celebrate. Come on, get in" He opened the door for her and she was about to get in but stopped as her eyes fell on Areeba's car.
"Isn't that Areeba's car?" She asked
"I don't know"
"Oh yeah it is" She said and strode towards the car
"Wait! What are you upto?" Amaan stopped her by holding her shoulder
"She spread rumours about you and me. I am gonna teach her that she messed up with wrong person" Haya answered
"No you are not going to show her anything. Come on Haya, what's the point. Leave the girl to god's mercy"
"I have been bearing her for two years. Now it's time for payback."
"Forget about it Haya!"
"No i won't. Come on Amaan, one last prank. For Old time's sake. Please... please Amaani" Haya pouted and battled her eyelashes, trying to convince him
Amaan frowned and sighed in defeat "Why do you have to be so cute?" He said and started taking steps towards car.
A grin spread over Haya's face and she followed him "So what are we gonna do?" He asked
"Nothing much. Just puncture all the four tyres" Haya replied
"Fine. That's not much"
As they were done camouflaging their enemy's property, they got into their own car with victorious smirks etched on their faces and drove off.
"Now we have two things to celebrate" Haya chirped happily
"Yeah we do. By the way, how is it going with your brother?" Amaan asked
"Pretty good." Haya nodded
"So he didn't got on your nerves?"
"No"
"I am surprised"
"So am i. I never thought i would get along with him so quickly. It's like he is my own brother. I just bonded with him in a wink of an eye."
"I am glad about that."
"I am sure you will like him too. You are having dinner at our place tonight. Right?"
"Yeah i am. I am looking forward to meet him" Amaan said
"I met Amreen at university" Haya said, moving to another topic
"Yeah. The admission forms are out finally"
"So she is joining this university?"
"Yeah"
"Ok"
Silence
After 5 minutes
The silence elongated
After 10 minutes
The silence still prevailed
Haya looked at Amaan and found him a bit tensed. Even though Amaan was trying to hide it, she knew him better than that. She knew his every mood.
"What is wrong?" She asked
"Nothing"
"There is something Amaan"
"Nothing really. I am just tired. I went to office today with Dad--"
"If you think i am gonna buy this bullshit then you are highly mistaken" Haya interrupted
Amaan took a deep sigh and passing a quick glance towards her, he looked back at road "It's Amreen. Lately, she has been acting weird and i am worried about her."
"Did you confronted her?"
"Yeah i tried but she keeps on dodging all my questions"
"If you want, i can try talking to her. Maybe she will open up to me" Haya suggested
Amaan pondered over for few seconds and then nodded "That would be great. Thanks." He smiled
"Don't thank me. I will always be here for you." Haya said
"Always?" Amaan asked
Haya grinned at this and then nodded
"Always"

Amaan's meeting with Zayer didn't turn out to be that pleasing as much as he thought. Being the brother, Zayer asked him a lot of questions and occasionally sent him deathly glares, each glare conveying 'you hurt my sister and you are dead' messages. Being the brother himself, he understood his concern well but that didn't stopped him from disliking Zayer a bit.
After the dinner, Samreen and Haya got engorsed in some conversation and Shahana decided to sleep early, leaving Amaan and Zayer in an awkward situation. But, someone had to talk, so Amaan decided to break the silence "Listen.. i understand your concern towards Haya but i want you to trust me. I really care about her and I will never hurt her. She is my everything" Amaan said and meant it
Zayer nodded "Good for you"
The silence again enveloped them and this time Zayer broke it "I am sorry for my behaviour. Its just i have missed so much of her life. I wanted to make sure she is marrying a right guy"
"So am i the right guy for her?" Amaan asked
"Unless you pull off any shit...Yes you are" Replied Zayer
"Thank you"
Zayer nodded in response and both went back to staring in spaces.
"I know everything" Amaan spoke after few minutes
When he received confused look from Zayer, he continued "Shahana aunty told me everything"
"She did?" Zayer confirmed
"Yes"
"Ok" He shrugged and went back to keeping quiet but Amaan wasn't in that mood.
"Zayer i think your hatred towards Karim uncle and Shahana aunty---"
"Will stay till my last breath" Zayer interrupted, his words spitting Venom
"I understand from where all this is coming but try to be rational. If you really think about it, you will realize it wasn't actually their fault" Amaan explained
"I don't wanna think about anything. I am playing this lie because i don't want to ruin Haya's wedding day for her. Once the wedding is over, i am gonna tell her everything she deserves to know. Period."
Amaan decided to clamp his mouth shut for there was no way Zayer would ponder over this or listen to him. It was just upto Haya now that how she would handle the truth

The shopping with Sabreena and Amreen was fun but tedious at the same time. And what pissed Haya more than anything was that Sabreena didn't let her pay for wedding dress. When Sabreena passed the card to the cashier, Haya caught a glimpse of it and suppressed a frown as she found 'SYED AMAAN IBRAHIM' engraved on it in big bold letters. Anyways, at 3:00, they wered done with shopping and famished, so after having lunch at nearby restaurant, they decided to go back home.
Like Amaan, Haya could feel Changes in Amreen's behaviour and recalling her promise to Amaan of talking to her, she told Amreen to come to her place with her.
"So how is life treating you?" Haya asked Amreen once they were sitting in her room, sprawled over bed
"Fine..i guess" Amreen shrugged
"You know Samreen is at university which means we have plenty of time" Haya said
"For what?"
"For you to spill the beans"
Amreen looked at her weirdly and asked "what beans do i have to spill?"
Straightening up herself Haya answered with a question "what is going on with you?"
"Nothing" Amreen replied
"Amreen, why don't you forget that i am your brother's wife or anyone else for a minute and consider me just as a friend with whom you can share anything?"
"Haya there is really nothing."
"Don't try to make me believe your lie. It won't work." Haya replied and then placing her hand over hers in assurance, she continued "I might have never said it but you were always there for me and you need to let me be there for you. Whatever it is, i promise i am not gonna tell Amaan or anyone if that's what you are worried about"
"I am stupid" Amreen spoke
"Tell me something new"
"Do you want me to tell you?"
"Oh yes. Ofcourse. Continue please"
"I..umm..I..am..umm..I think i...ugh..i can't" Amreen groaned in frustration
"Just say it. Pretend i am not here. Just say it and let the baggage get off your back" Haya encouraged
"Ok.." Amreen nodded and closing her eyes, she took a deep breath "I am in love with Nameer"
