A year had now passed since Logan and Rory had gotten married. A few months after the wedding Rory had given birth to a beautiful little baby. The morning of their first anniversary Rory woke up to the sound of their little baby crying. She looked over to Logan's side of the bed and noticed he wasn't there.
She got up from the bed and grabbed her robe, she then walked out from the bedroom and into the next room that was the nursery. She walked into the nursery and noticed that Logan sat there in the rocking chair, holding their baby.
You look like a natural. Rory told him while kissing him on the mouth and then kissed her little baby.
Flashback to their second doctors appointment.
"Your baby looks great, do you want to find out the gender?" The doctor had asked them.
"Yes we have decided on that we want to know." Logan answered the doctor while grabbing Rory's hand.
"Well it looks like your having a baby boy." The doctor announced.
Rory looked over at Logan whom were now crying. He couldn't believe it, they were having a baby boy.
"Babe? You okey?" Rory asked him with tears in her eyes.
"I'm just stunned. We're having a boy!!" Logan answered her while kissing her on her mouth then he kissed her stomach.
Flashback to the delivery of their baby boy.
"You can scream how much you will because it's your right." Logan coached Rory whom lied in the bed screaming.
"I just want this to be over with, I want to hold my baby." Rory screamed.
"Okay, Rory just two more pushes and your baby will be here." The doctor told her.
"Come on Ace, you can do this!!" Logan told her.
Rory pushed two more pushes and suddenly they could hear their newly arrived baby boys cries. Logan let go of Rory's hand and walked over to cut the umbilical cord. Shortly after Logan walked back over to Rory, holding his little son.
He laid down the baby into Rory's arms.
"You did it Ace, I'm so proud of you." Logan told her while kissing her.
"What should we name him?" Rory asked Logan while kissing her little boy.
"I think we should name him Richard after your grandpa." Logan told her.
"I wish he would have lived to meet his great grandson." Rory told him with sadness.
"Me too Ace, but at least we will be honoring his memory by naming his grandson after him." Logan told her while kissing her on her head.
"I think we should name him Richard Logan Huntzberger." Rory told him while admiring her son.
Back to present day.
Logan walked out from the nursery, holding little Richard in his arms. Rory sat in their home office and typed on her laptop.
"Someone wants his mommy." Logan told her while handing of a screaming Richard to her.
"Can you grab some water from the kitchen? I need something to drink." Rory asked him while starting soothing little Richard.
"Sure Ace, anything else I should grab?" Logan answered her.
"Yeah, Richard's cup." Rory told him.
Logan walked out from the office and downstairs to the kitchen. He returned up a few minutes later with Richard's cup and some water for Rory.
"So Mr. Huntzberger, do you have something special planned for our first anniversary?" Rory asked him while grabbing Richard's cup.
"Well actually I have, but it's a surprise." He answered her.
Flashback to 2,5 months after Richard's birth.
Logan had told Rory that he had a surprise for her, so they had gotten into the car. And Logan had blindfolded her so that she would see anything. Richard laid in his car seat sleeping. After almost 25 minutes of driving, the car suddenly stopped. Logan got out from the car, grabbed Richard whom was still sleeping.
Then he helped the still blindfolded Rory and grabbed her hand. He removed her blindfold.
"What do you think?" He asked her.
"Logan? What's this?" She answered him confused.
"It's our new home. I've bought it." Logan told her while while walking up to the door.
"I love it, it's beautiful Logan. But you shouldn't have." Rory told him while joining him at the door.
Logan unlocked the door, then he put down the car seat with Richard in it. He then opened the door and lifted up Rory and carried her inside.
"Welcome to our new home Mrs.Huntzberger." Logan told her while kissing her.
"Omg Logan, this is amazing.. when did you have time to do all this?" Rory asked him stunned.
"I had help from Colin and Finn." Logan answered her while grabbing the car seat.
"He is so beautiful Logan." Rory told him.
Back to present day.
"But if we're going out, then who's taking care of Richard?" Rory asked him worrying.
"Don't worry, I've already called your parents and they'll be here in an hour." Logan answered her.
"Can you give me a clue as to where we're going?" Rory asked him while standing up from the chair while holding Richard.
"Well I can tell you this we've been there before." Logan answered her.
"I'm just gonna go and lay Richard to sleep." Rory told him while kissing him.
Rory walked out from the office and walked towards the nursery, once in the nursery Rory sat down in the big comfortable armchair. She then began rocking little Richard to sleep. Sitting there in their baby's nursery, she couldn't help but to think back to the year before and how lucky they had been, that Logan had gotten in remission.
After a while Richard fell asleep and Rory gently walked over to the crib and put him down. She then walked downstairs to the kitchen. Where Logan stood and taking some medication.
"Hey, what's those?" Rory asked him concerned.
"Just some medicine the doctor gave me. Ace it's nothing to be concerned about." Logan answered her while hugging her.
"You would tell me if you were starting to feel weird again?" Rory begged him while just standing there with Logan's arms around her.
"I would tell you but I'm telling you I'm fine." Logan told her reassuringly.
An hour later Rory and Logan were ready to leave for their anniversary dinner.
They said goodbye to Richard and told Lorelei and Christopher to call them if anything happened. Another 20 minutes, they arrived outside the restaurant where they were eating.
"Wait, isn't this the restaurant were you proposed to me?" Rory asked him.
"Yes it is. I thought we should celebrate this day in a special place." Logan answered her while walking inside.
They were seated at a table, then they were shown the menu. Logan ordered in a bottle of champagne. He poured up the champagne into two glasses and handed one to Rory.
"Here's to our first year as married. I love you and our son so much." Logan told her while raising his glass.
"I can't believe a year has already gone by. I love you too. I'll know you will be a great father to our son." Rory told her while drinking from her champagne glass.
After around two hours later, Rory and Logan were on their way home again. To be honest Rory couldn't be more happy then to get back home again to her little boy. She felt strange leaving him home and they getting out for the first time in months.
