Issei's P.O.V
I was just sitting in class doing nothing, we were allowed to just do nothing today. But then the teacher came in and started to speak "Ahem, may I have your attention. We have a new student joining us today" he stepped to the side and a guy with H/c hair and E/c eyes smiled. He had bandages covering his arms and had on black gloves.
"Hello, my name is Yn Ln, its a pleasure to meet you all," he said and I sighed as I heard all the girls start to gossip about him. 'Another pretty boy, great' I thought sarcastically
"Yn you can sit next to Issei," the teacher said. I decided it didn't really matter for now. He looked like a decent guy so I smiled and waved to him. He walked up to me and held out his hand "Nice to meet you Issei" he smiled and I shook his hand "Same. Seems you're already popular with all the girls".
He looked around and saw that most of the girls were looking at him and whispering to each other. "I don't know about that, it's probably cause I'm new," he said and rubbed the back of his neck
"Dude there are like no guys here, and with you, there are two pretty boys. All the girls are gonna be into you"
"What about you? Are any into you?" he asked and I stood up "Well they will be soon. I'm going to be the Harem king" I stated proudly and he just and a calm expression. I could see that all the girls were disgusted, but Yn just started laughing and held his stomach.
All the girls were surprised and I smiled and started to laugh with him. After a minute of laughing, he calmed down and wiped a tear away "Man, I can tell that it never gets boring when you're around".
"Well I guess you're right about that, but I'm mostly running from girls"
He was slightly confused "I thought you said they weren't into you"
"They aren't" I got a very pervy look on my face "It's because I'm always peeping on them"
He gave a light chuckle and put a hand on my shoulder "Yeah, this is going to be an interesting year"
The girls started squealing as I saw Kiba walk in and walk up to us "Hey, You're the new guy right? I'm Kiba" I saw him shake Yn's hand. "Mind if I borrow Issei?" he asked Yn
"Of course, but you didn't need to ask. Just look at the time" Yn smiled and walked towards the door.
I looked at the clock and right when I did the bell rang, telling us we could go home
Rias's P.O.V
I was walking through the halls with Akeno and Koneko going to meet up with the rest of my peerage. I saw someone I haven't met before, his eyes widened and I thought I saw something in them for a second before he went back to his calm expression.
I was surprised when I couldn't feel anything from him, no presence or life force. But then it suddenly came back, however, it was stronger and then returned to normal in a second.
I narrowed my eyes. 'What the hell was that' I thought to myself.
After he had walked out of sight I looked at koneko "I want you to follow him"
"Why?" she asked
I just gave her a blank stare and she sighed and started to walk after him. I went to meet up with everyone else, we had a job tonight. There was a stray devil hiding in a giant sewer system
Koneko's P.O.V
I was following Yn, I met Kiba on the way and he had told me his name. He was heading to the outskirts of town.
I continued following him until I saw what looked like a large house. When he got near it multiple kids came running out and jumped on him causing him to fall over. I was hiding in some bushes, not wanting to be seen.
They all started to laugh and he rubbed some of their heads and they all welcomed him in. I knew this place, it wasn't well known but it was an orphanage. However, it wasn't an official one and wasn't run by any adults. So he was an orphan, it's sad.
I decided to leave, as I started to go I saw Yn in a kitchen through a window and I saw that he was cooking. It looked as if the kids were asking him what he was making. He smiled and shooed them away. Once they were all out of the kitchen he turned towards the window and looked straight at me, my eyes widened but i kept my expressionless face. I thought I was hidden until I looked around me to see that there weren't any bushes there.
I looked back to him and he just smiled and waved at me. I just waved back not know what else I could do. He opened the window "What brings you out here?" he asked
"Just going for a walk" I lied
"Well have fun and be careful, people have said that strange things can happen out here," he said and went back to cooking
I decided to head back to Rias and tell her what I know, and she did tell me we were hunting a stray devil tonight
Timeskip
Rias's P.O.V
We were at the entrance to the sewer system. I decided to ask Koneko about Yn. "So Koneko did you learn anything about Yn"
Kiba spoke up "As far as I can tell he seems like a nice guy"
"Yn, isn't that the new transfer?" Akeno asked and I nodded and then looked back at Koneko
"Well I followed him to the outskirts of town, he seems to live in an Orphanage with many other kids. But it's not an official orphanage and it's not run by anyone. By the looks of it he takes care of everyone there" she said
"So you didn't notice anything strange about him?"
"Well when he was cooking he stopped and looked straight at me, the bushes I was hiding in seemed to vanish before he did. He said that people say that strange things happen out there, but I don't know" she said and I stopped for a second and looked ahead
I could see far down that the lights were off and something about it sent chills down my spine
(Imagine if that guy wasn't there and the light were off ahead of them)
"Um, Rias. Where is it?" Issei asked
"I don't know, but I'm sure we'll be running into it soon," I said as we walked into the darkness, we could still see to some degree but it wasn't the best.
I heard someone bump into something and looked back.
"Um, Rias. You might want to look at this" Kiba said as he put a hand on the hilt of his sword
I walked over but couldn't make out what it was "Akeno, some light," I said and she nodded and soon a ball of lightning was over our heads giving off light
I took a step back "What?!" I asked myself in a bit of shock
3rd P.O.V
They were all a little shocked to see what looked like a ripped off arm and a wing, a devils wing.
Issei nearly threw up but he managed to hold it in. But he felt something drip on him and he touched it, it was crimson. "Akeno, do you think you could make a few more lights"
"Why," she asked and he pointed up, he had a terrified look on his face. She did what he asked and put one light near the ceiling and everyone was confused and shocked as they see a stray devils face smashed into the ceiling, bits of blood dripping down onto Issei's shoulder.
Akeno made one of the lights go further into the sewer and say the rest of the body parts. But they saw more than the body parts of just one devil. There were corpses of multiple all around, ripped apart and smashed.
"What's going on here?" Rias asked out loud. They soon heard someone running towards them. "Everyone get ready!" Rias yelled
Kiba and Koneko went in front and Kiba had his holy eraser ready. They saw two stary devils running towards them in human form. Both were male.
But they said something they didn't expect. "HELP. PLEASE HELP US" they yelled. They looked terrified
"What do you mean? Aren't you the ones that did all this?" Rias asked
"NO LISTEN, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE. IT'S COMING FOR US" One of them yelled
"What do you mean 'it'. What's going on here?" she asked again, getting chills again from seeing them so scared
"WE'LL TELL YOU. BUT PLEASE" one of them started crying "JUST GET US OUT OF HERE"
"Kiba, Akeno. Guard us in the front. And you two, start talking" Rias demanded
One of them seemed to calm down slightly. "W-we were going to a-ambush you here. W-we knew that some devils w-would come after us. A-and we knew that you thought there was o-only one of us here"
"How many of you were actually here?" she asked
"T-there were about 30 of us down here. But, s-something else came. We didn't stand a chance against it. As far as we know, 23 are dead, and 5 are missing somewhere down here"
"Something? What did it look like?"
"I don't know, it was ripping everyone apart so fast I couldn't see it"
They then heard someone else running. When they came into the light it was clear it was a woman. Issei was drooling at the sight of her until he noticed she was missing an arm.
"HELP ME" she yelled. But before anyone could do anything a giant white arm that looked like it was made of energy grabbed her and dragged her back into the darkness. They could barely hear her screams and cries for help over the sounds of ripping and snapping
After the sounds had stopped everyone was shocked and it seemed like no one dared to move or speak. There was just silence.
The two stray devils started to run away and tried to get back into the light as fast as they could.
Kiba and Issei were about to yell at them when Akeno and Koneko covered their mouths. They watched in horror as something went flying by them and went through one of the stray devils head and it caused the top half of him to explode
(Ok am I making this too dark? cause Idk)
The other one kept running and soon made it out of sight, no screams or other noises were heard until minutes later when the sound of footsteps could be heard, they echoed throw the sewers. It was if every sound was encouraging them all to try and make a run for it, but to meet the same fate as the first stray devil who has now painted the walls red.
Rias knew what she was dealing with, she had it somewhere in her mind but she couldn't figure it out. It was on the tip of her tongue, she wasn't sure that the reason she couldn't remember was that it was from so long ago, or from the fear that when she learns what she's dealing with that she'll run too.
But everyone was snapped out of their fear when the footsteps couldn't be heard anymore and all the lights had turned on again. They could see many corpses and nothing farther down the sewers or behind them from where they came.
They decided that it was definitely time to leave. They went slowly, keeping their guard up and being on alert for anything. However, once they could see the entrance in which they came from They could also see a shadowy figure farther down the tunnel, and the lights were starting to go off one by one.
Everyone started running and quickly made it out before all the lights went out.
They were all panting, except for Kiba who was out before the rest of them.
They looked over to find the stray devil from before, the one that escaped, sitting down and leaning on a tree.
"You, stray. I want you to tell me everything you know about what that thing was" Rias demanded
"I don't know much, I don't know what it is, but it did say why it came after us," he said with his eyes closed. He was much calmer now that he was out of there, but still shaken about everything that happened
Everyone looked at him curiously and he sighed "We were planning on attacking somewhere that was housing many other strays and fallen angels that refused to join us. Any that would want to join us would, and those that didn't we would kill. That was the plan"
"Wait hold up. You mean that there's more of you?" Issei asked
"No idiot, he's saying that there are others but they are with fallen angels and didn't want to be with him and his buddies, it's simple," Koneko said while hitting Issei on the head and he rubbed where she hit him. "You didn't need to hit me" he whined
"They said that they didn't want any part in working with us and they wanted to live normal lives. It's just a bunch of bullshit if you ask me"
"And why's that?" Rias asked
"Because of the people they have, multiple of them have sacred gears that are basically meant for war and battle. They have a large number of people with high magical abilities too. They're planning something, I can tell you that" he sighed
"So why haven't we been told about it?" She asked annoyed
"Probably becau-" he stopped mid-sentence as a familiar white arm ripped through the tree and through his chest. However, the arm was different from before. It was smaller and looked more like claws. It retracted and everyone ran around to try and see who did it, but just saw them walking away
(Imagine the hood up so they can't see his hair)
"WAIT" Rias yelled, but as a strong gust of wind blew and everyone closed and covered their eyes he just disappeared when they opened them
