Chapter 52☁️

I looked up and saw Malias eyes slowly open and close. Suddenly i felt awake and my hopes flew out the roof.
"Malia? Can you hear me?" I asked.
Her head slowly nodded. I smiled as a tear of happiness fell down my cheek.
I told the nurses that she woke up and they took some blood and some tests and tubes away from her face so she could talk.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Sad" she replied with a shaky voice.
I held her hand a little tighter.
"We'll get through this" I said.
"Shawn we lost our baby" she said.
"I know, I know" I said.
"I thought we were going to be parents" she said.
"And we still can be" I said.
What if we can't" She replied.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"What if something got damaged when I got... hurt? What if we can't become parents?" She said.
"Hey, don't say that! Okay look at me" I said.
Malia turned and looked at me with tears streaming down her cheek.
"We can do this, we can try again and again, we can do this" I said looking at her in the eyes. I wiped a tear away from her cheek and placed a kiss on her lips. I slipped my shoes off and laid in the bed with her and on the radio, 'hearts don't break around here' came on the radio and as it was a separate room that was the only noise in the room.
