After school, Eren was unable to pick Mikasa up since he had to do his own homework and clean the house as a punishment for fighting Jean. Kaurla couldn't think of a worse punishment because never has she experienced Eren doing something bad. Despite the fact that he only got kicked out of schools for the way he looked, this was the first time he got kicked out of school for doing violence but then again he was defending someone he cares about.
Eren was cleaning the dishes without the help of his powers with his mom looking around in the fridge and counters to see what she could cook for dinner. "How about macaroni and fish?" She suggested, turning her head over her shoulder to see Eren's reaction. "If you want to. I'm up for it" He said placing the dishes that were dry up on the rack, into their designated counter. Kaurla knew Eren was upset about what had happened and put the macaroni and cheese back up in the counter that she found it in.
"Let's have tacos instead" She said bringing out a plastic bag of hard shells for the tacos. "Why all of a sudden you seem happy to be wanting tacos? I thought you were a bit aggravated by cooking it over and over" Eren said turning his head over his shoulder and making eye contact with his mom. "Well...it just seems like...I don't know how to say it but I just don't wanna see you upset and I always see you happy when you're eating tacos" She said smiling. Eren noticed her cheeks were slightly flushed and he knew that when she got like this, she was remembering a moment from when he was little.
"Cook them" Eren said. Hannes came out of Kaurla's room with a bottle of beer in his left hand. His cheeks were flushed red and he was stumbling as he walked over to the two. Hannes went over to Kaurla and wrapped his arms around her waist while being perched onto her to keep his balance.
"Hey there baby...y-you wanna go and have some fun with me?" Hannes said in a drunk tone. Kaurla and Eren were both disgusted by this side of him and what angered Eren more is when he does weird stuff that he won't end up remembering. "It's not like Eren's in front of us and hearing the nonsense that you're saying" She says sarcastically as the drunk blonde finally saw Eren.
"Eren my favorite son-" "don't call me that" "whatever...you know what...you deserve an award for being such a, such a good boy. Wanna join me and your mother in the fun?" "Hannes!" Kaurla shrieked. "What he's old enough isn't he? H-how old are you like thirty-two or something?" He said making Eren roll his eyes while he tried his best to not imagine his mom naked and doing that with her. It was embarrassing and made him uncomfortable.
Hannes smacked Kaurla's rear making the brunette gasp and her cheeks turned a bright red color. "Let's get going" He said. Eren was use to the drunk talking but he hated when he touched her in places. She's all Eren has left and he wasn't risking anyone, not even Hannes, touch her in any way that she doesn't want to be touched in. Eren threw a strong punch at Hannes, sending him to the floor and just like that, he slept on the floor soon to be forgetting everything that had happened.
Eren let out a sigh and turned over to his mother. She smiled and clasped her hands together. "My dear son you're so adorable when you're overprotective of your mother!" She gushed. Eren gave a small chuckle but seconds later there was a knock on the door. Bella hearing from Eren's room, raced down the stairs and over to the door and began barking at it while her tail wagged excitedly.
Eren walked over to the door and pushed Bella aside a bit with his foot, opened the door and saw Mikasa who looked pretty surprised and it probably must of been Bella's barking that surprised her since she wasn't expecting it. But seeing Eren alright made the ebony female smile.
"Good to see you doing alright. I was worried about you but um I don't know why and it's pretty confusing to me and...am I talking too much? I feel like I'm talking too much and not getting straight to the point" She said laughing nervously. Seeing her like this made Eren smile and Mikasa blushed feeling slightly embarrassed that she was acting like this in front of him.
"Are you doing okay?" Eren asked and Mikasa nods and pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I'm good it's just that now I won't be able to come by more often since my brother is having doubts about you. I told him that you help me with my Spanish so the only thing that I'm coming over for is for you to tutor me for an hour, that I told him as well. He also said that you can't drive me to school no more and that I have to go back to taking the bus" She said. Eren could tell that Mikasa was very annoyed and angry with what she was saying but Eren couldn't blame her. He was also upset and a bit angry after hearing this but he knew well not to let it out on her.
"So yeah" She said letting out a sigh. Bella squeezed between Eren's left leg and the door and cuddled against Mikasa's leg. She let out a giggle and bent down petting Bella's head. "I'm gonna miss you" Mikasa cooed and stood back up. Both figures stared at each other for a few seconds, not finding words to say until Eren walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Won't be that fun without you around much" Eren says in a gentle tone that send goosebumps down her spine. "Same for me...school won't be the same as well" She said and wrapped her arms around Eren. "Well for me that is" She said.
"I don't even want to guess what the school is saying about me" "Well..." Mikasa bit her lip a bit anxious. "The principal made an announcement saying that all trouble is gone and that the school is safe so we don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt again" She remarked. "But don't worry about that school, you're always important to me" She says genuinely.
"Mikasa!" A voice called out to her and they both turned over to Mikasa's house seeing Levi perched against the door with his arms crossed. Mikasa's expression changed quickly and turned her attention back to Eren. "Well...see you whenever I can" She said and pecked Eren's cheek making his cheeks turn a bright red color.
"Bye Eren" She utters waving at him as Eren does the same. Remembering that Levi was still watching, Eren turned back over to Levi and saw that he gave a death glare at him. When Mikasa got up to him, she tapped his shoulder and told him something until they both walked into their house. "Come in Bella" Eren says opening the door wide enough for Bella to enter.
Eren closed the door behind him and went back over to his mom to help her with the tacos and finish doing the dishes. "Are we gonna leave Hannes on the floor?" Kaurla said stepping over him to go get the dog food from the shelf and poured it in Bella's food bowl, grabbed the second bowl and poured clean water in it.
"Yep" Eren responds without much care.
At Mikasa and Levi's place, Mikasa was laying down on the couch finishing her calculus homework as a random show on the tv played on a low volume. "I know not visiting him that much is one punishment but not letting him take me to school, you have to be joking. Don't you know what I have to deal with when I get on there!? The bus is filled with stinky jocks that throws paper balls, hipsters that play old school music out loud and prissy preps that brags about how good their life is while talking in an annoying ghetto voice and talking very loud on their phone like no one wants to hear it!" She exclaims.
"It's better than being driven to school with a troublemaker" Levi said getting ready for his nightshift at the station. "But Eren isn't a troublemaker Levi, he's an amazing guy who's smart and really special. He's never done anything wrong and besides you wouldn't know how nice he is because you never visit" "Because I don't have the time to visit and chatter because I'm too busy supporting the only person close to me. I could care less about the people around me because only you are what matters to me and I don't have the time to be dealing with boys" He said.
Mikasa huffed and placed her head down in her arms. She sometimes wandered what life would be like if their parents were still alive but things have changed obviously. She laid her head up and looked at the remaining page of problems that she had to solve and felt slightly discouraged to even finish. She grabbed her stuff and walked upstairs to her room, Levi watching with a bit of contrition wanted to go up to her room and comfort her but he did have a job to go to and left.
Mikasa placed her homework down on her table that was filled with her textbooks from her classes and a lamp. Mikasa looked out from her window and saw through Eren's window that Eren was playing a video game while eating tacos. Mikasa smiled and watched only because she was bored and had nothing else to do and since she couldn't go near Eren why not watch him with the good distant between?
Bella charged into the room and knocked Eren on the ground and began eating his tacos. Eren fought her to get her away from his tacos but they were practically ruined already.
Mikasa bursted out into laughter and continued watching as Eren grabbed the plate and left while Bella ate the remaining pieces of tacos on the ground. Eren came back in with a new plate of tacos and lifted them up in the air so Bella wouldn't see but she seemed to have smelled it and stood on her two hind legs while her two front legs were placed on his chest. Her mouth was open and her tongue stook out in a hunger manner.
Eren moved from Bella and grabbed one taco out of the four and began eating it. Bella chased Eren around his room while Eren ran and ate. Mikasa was very amused by their silly behavior. Bella knocked Eren over and began eating his tacos but Eren took another one that wasn't covered in her slob and ate it. Eren looked defeated and didn't seem to bother Bella gobbling up his food and continued playing video games.
Mikasa let out a sigh and tapped her fingers on the window. "God he's so cute when he's like that" She said and began doing her homework. She looked up about fifteen minutes later and saw Eren taking off off his shirt revealing his stunning eight pack.
Mikasa shrieked and felt her face burning as it turned pink in embarrassment. "W-w-what do I do!?! D-do I k-keep watching or..." Mikasa's voice trailed off as she watched as Bella came and jumped on Eren who luckily caught his balance.
Eren was laughing as he played with Bella and Mikasa found it cute. Eren looked over in Mikasa's direction as she screamed and quickly covered the curtains, her face still burning. "Great...now I can't get the image out of my head"
