he woke up. he woke up. he woke up.
i've never been happier in my life.
michael, calum and i all walk in together to see him sitting up, looking dazed and confused. he looks at us, his eyes wide. i run over and hug him tightly.
but he doesn't move.
he waits until i let go, then stays silent. he looks out in distress at michael.
"ash?" i ask carefully, reaching my hand out to his shoulder. he flinches away.
"don't touch me. i don't want to see you," he says weakly, tears forming in his eyes.
"w-what? why?"
"just leave me alone," he pleads. the tears start falling and he makes no move to wipe them away. i look over at michael in question. he looks back at me sadly. "i only want to see michael," ashton whispers.
i hear calum swallow, hurt by ashton's words. he takes my hand and pulls me out of the room.
"go home, luke," he tells me.
"what is going on? i just want to see him and make everything right ag-"
"luke, please go home. ashton can't see you right now. go home and take a shower. i'll call you."
without another word, i leave.
