Seems like just a few daze ago
September started
Remember
I opened with that Johnny Taylor jam September
And just like that
September jumped into limber mode and then laid back
I tried to get in the groove
But as luck has it
At the time I needed to have made a different move
Now that we're at the end of September
This may just be the month that burns in my mind like a red hot ember
