James Rowlette is an idiot in love with a person who really (pretend) loves him, in the end the person didn't. With his ever so cold hearted friend witnessed him crying, Nils Williams, 'tried' to comfort him until he's better but it leaves him forgetting the night of a one sided passion (which means no sex but a quarter of a foreplay) which they had. Blame the alcohol, since James has low tolerance of alcohol.
With a forgotten and untold memory, he notices that Nils become softer and affectionate to everyone, especially more to him. He doesn't why nor he can blame with his best friend's weird antics all of a sudden. But, all he knows that every time Nils came closer to him, his heart started beating faster and it's hard to concentrate on something other than him.
