It varies
Protection is its best attribute
To minimize the harmfulness of my thoughts and words
And wouldn't ya know it
My filter seems to be broken
By the time that I realize it
That thought...
Those words...
The painful truth...
Has been released
And this I know for sure
Just because it's the truth
Doesn't mean that it is ok to speak it out loud
Some things must be filtered
