Misty;

I'm awakened abruptly, thank god. Victoria was there squeezing my hand hard, "Shhhh, Misty it's okay. Your not there." She whispered quietly. She was the only one who knew about the dreams. About how I dreamt I was at home being beaten by alcoholic parents who don't really give a damn about me. When people say I'm a troubled kid who shouldn't be out on the streets, they're pretty right. Yeah sure I should get help but I've tried before. No one. Ever. Helps. Kids. Like. Me.

My eyes focus on my arms and I pull the self-consciously under the covers. I know everyone's seen them, the ones on my throat. "I'm so sorry about the car," I hear a male voice , "I'll pay your hospital bill and give you some money. Well there goes meeting soon." It's Vic. I completely forgot.. Something starts forming in my mind. A scheme of things.

What if the way it works is that you have to dare something big and something bad happens, then you get what you were dared? What if you also get something bad in the end and no good? I share this with everyone and most of them deny it. They don't see logic but Victoria and Vic do....they just don't say it. I can tell they're turning it over in they're head. I've been good with telling looks since I was eight. I never knew what my parents were going to say but I could always tell what face they made, with that face I could say they were thinking of punishment, chores, or saying yes or no. Never in school could I do that. Never tell what people were going to say, what they're going to do, what teachers were going to announce. Never once but I guess they now know what I'm talking about. They don't try to fight it, might as well let the rest figure it out on they're own. They will know I was right. I warned them since of what happened to me but that's okay, they'll figure it out.
