"Thanks again for lunch". I said smiling at Jawn.
"Thanks for going through with the interview, have a good day C". Jawn said getting out of the car
"Yea, have a good day Geoff". Geoff said.
"have a good night G". Jawn said laughing.
"Where to Chloe?" Geoff asked me
"Anywhere". I said resting my head on my seatbelt.
"Feel alright?" He asked me
"I'm fine". I said
"My gut is saying something is wrong, what's up".
"I'm just in my thoughts"
"What are you thinking about?" He asked as he pulled into a park, parking lot
"Kids". I said
"Oh". He said
"Like, have an open mind right now, we decided to have a kid you're on tour with the boys im home years pass you can be like 32 I could be 25 what if he or she asked "why don't I have a grandma". Then we have to explain why, and what am I going to say". I said as a tear came down my face.
"Hey, let's not jump that far, kids ask a lot of questions, and I'm sure that when we are ready for kids we don't have to answer, personal questions till later in life". Geoff said with a smile.
"Geoff, you're 7 years older then me this is your life, music makes you happy, the boys make you happy, I hope I make you happy". I said with a chuckle
"What I'm saying is you almost have your life set, I'm trying to find mine still". I said fiddling with my phone
"I'm open minded, that's one thing you should know about me, I truly understand what you are saying, the boys and I will probably settle down before we're 35, I'll always be by you'r side". He said smiling.
"I'm moving to fast aren't I". I said softly
"Well, if we wanted to bring mathematics into this you make about 53k a year, a month that's 4k , your job dose well, so does mine said you want a real answer from me, no, your not moving to fast, as long as you're emotionally ready to carry around and baby for 9 months, take care of it for 18 years, then that's fine by me". He said smiling
"Okay I failed math like 3 times, but I appreciate you're honestly". I said looking at him.
"Chloe?" He said softly
"Yea?"
"You're something else." He said smiling.
"Just so we're clear, I don't think this can happen just yet". He said holding my hand
"Why not". I said
"Chloe you're 21, you turned 21 almost a week ago, my career is starting, yours is starting too, we just can't right now". I said
My hand slipped out of his grasp as I now kept it to myself, I stayed silent from his comment and turned away from him. "Can you drive me home". I said softly
"Clo, baby I'm sorry I don't mean to hurt you". He said pulling out the lot
"It's fine, stupid topic anyway" I lied
"Don't say that you don't mean it". He said smiling
"Just take me home so I can rest" I said curling up
"I love you". He told me holding my hand again.
I gave his hand a comfort grip and intertwined our fingers together.
I felt another tear fall down my cheek.
"Chloe you have to understand I need to get the boy's approval on this too". He said pulling into our driveway.
"Just ignore it I don't care anymore". I said running to the door.
I twisted the knob and ignored Geoff yelling for me.
"Everything okay?" Grace asked me.
"Chloe, come here". Geoff said slowly walking towards me
"Geoff just ignore it, I was just wondering how you'd react". I said
"Clo, you're crying, I hurt you, I'm sorry" he said
"Wake me up in 5 hours and I'll tell you how I feel, Grace come with me". I said running upstairs
I locked my doors and sat on my bed.
"So what's on that pretty little mind of yours" Grace said holding my hands.
"It's kinda dumb but it's like a big deal".
"Nothing is dumb unless you make it sound dumb". She said laughing
"I want to have a baby". I said softly
"Why not, dose Geoff not want to?, he's always wanted to be a dad". She said
"With the tour he'll be missing 4 months of me freaking out". I said smiling
"I feel like the real question is do you want a family?" She said.
"Obviously, but I don't want the boys to be mad at me for distracting Geoff".
"Chloe that's probably the dumbest thing I've heard today, the boys are so supportive they'd show nothing but love but you're a twin and Geoff's mom was a twin so the possibility of you having twins is sorta high, but let's think positive". She said smiling.
"What do you think Geoff feels about adoption". I asked
"That's also a good idea, but that's something you two have to talk about". Grace said
"Do you mind grabbing Geoff for me". I asked her smiling
"Yea, just speak your mind, I'll be on the stairs if you need anything". She said walking out
A few minutes passed as I saw Geoff leaning on my door frame.
"Chloe let me talk first". He said sitting on my bed
"Talk". I said
"I was just caught off guard when you said kid, but I'm caught up and I think it's a change but I'm willing to take with you". He said smiling.
"Geoff I can't have kids". I said softly
"Wh- what why". He said is a confused tone.
"I've kept this from you because I didn't know what you'd think of me". I said holding his hands
"Tell me". He said.
"Justin and I were engaged at 18 and we tried to have a kid and the doctor said that because of my health problems I had back then I couldn't, 8 months later I was early, and miscarriage a baby girl we named her Emma". I said hiding my face
"Chloe, I'm sorry babe". He said bringing me into a hug.
"It's okay I try not to think about it, and don't bring it up again I don't need the memory's". I said softly
"I love you" he said bringing me onto his lap
"Thank you for understanding my crazy life". I said letting a laugh out
"Can I tell you something". Geoff said
"Anything"
"I just got us plane tickets to New York, not for the funeral because we had missed that, but I want you to take me around your city, and I also got a hotel next to that park that has the venue where we met, and we can get passes into there". He said smiling
"Then that shall be our first date". I said smiling.
"Go pack for a week, we leave early tomorrow morning.
"Thank you, for just everything, I appreciate you so much". I said
"Oh baby, I should be thanking you, Chloe I feel like we were meant to happen Chloe". He said smiling
"Just time comes and go but right now, right here, I want no one else but you".
