Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between a plot and a series of events that resemble one. The Coursera Plot course helped me understand that a little better. But plot can still be difficult. Some people and stories can benefit from a structure. This is one plot structure that can really bring the direction of your story into focus. The seven point plot structure gives you a good road map to follow as you begin sketching out you story. If you're floundering (and god knows I have in my stories) this can help tighten it up.
