"I love you too." I said my hands still holding his face.
He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his torso. He intensified the kiss and held me close.
For the first time I felt what loving someone was actually like.
"You're so special and you deserve to be treated with nothing but respect." Luke said setting me down.
"I know it's just...I don't know." I said
"What do you mean Em, look at you look at your body it's filled with blisters and bruises." Luke said tears in his eyes.
I began to ball my eyes out and Luke held me close.
"I'm so sorry Emily, that I wasn't always there to protect you. I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault Luke." I said kissing his cheek.
"That's it, Em, look at me," He said holding my hands tightly and looking into my eyes.
"I'm here for you all the way, and you don't have to worry anymore." He said pulling me in for a tight hug.
I knew from this moment on I'd be okay.
