Mal's POV
So did I ever mention that Ben let more kids from the Isle come? Yeah he did. We had four more kids join us just last year and they are fitting in perfectly. There's Desmond, the son of Yzma, who is sixteen, Dexter, the son of Pete, who is seventeen, Desdemona, the daughter of Syndrome, who is fifteen, and Draco, son of Lucifer Malfoy, who is seventeen years old. Kaleb is now eighteen years old and three years closer to the crown. Kaiden is seventeen, Katie is thirteen, Kasper and Koran are seven and Kayla and Kyle are three. Carter, Carson, Emma and Isaac are also seventeen. Isabella, Luke, Lisa and Phillip are now sixteen. Caitlyn, Evan, Ian and Rose are fifteen. Everett is thirteen. Liam and Olivia are twelve, Emily is eight and Elliot and Alex are four years old. I was chilling with Kayla and Kylie when Evie and Liv came bursting through my door.
"Hey people have you ever thought of knocking or ringing the doorbell?" I asked them, clearly annoyed.
"Sorry M but it's urgent!" Evie said and I jumped up quickly.
"What happened?!" I asked them.
"It's Ben. There's been an accident." Liv said for Evie, who opened her mouth. My heart instantly stopped beating. No this can't be happening, not the love of my life, he can't leave me.
"Where is he?!" I asked as I put on my shoes in a rush and called Kaleb, Kaiden, Katie, Kasper and Koran from school at the same time.
"Auradon main hospital. Room 342 on the third floor." Evie said.
"M you can't take young kids." Liv reminded me. Arghh.
"Okay fine. I'm taking Kaleb, Kaiden and Katie, they're old enough. You guys watch Kayla and Kylie and go pick up Kasper and Koran while your at it. You'll want to call Jane, Lonnie and Bree to help you with them all because Evie's coming with me let's go." I said in a very rushed tone or voice. Liv nodded and I rushed Evie out the door and to my motorcycle and drove us to the main hospital. We walked in and to the reception.
"How may I help you?" She asked.
"King Ben, room 342." I said.
"Okay Evie should know the way." The receptionist said politely.
"Thanks." I said and we rushed to floor three, room 342 and met the doctor.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Well we found Ben's car in a ditch and he was stuck in it. The glass from the windows cut into his arm, giving him internal bleeding, and he fractured his wrist pretty badly. He'll be in a cast for weeks to months. Also, he hit his head on the steering wheel, giving him a slight concussion but he didn't loose his memory, which is very lucky. He's lying in his room right now if you'd like to see him, but he's in a coma." The doctor said and I nodded and entered his room. Looking at him like this made my heart shatter into a billion pieces. He was hooked up to so many machines, his head was bandaged, his wrist wrapped and his eyes closed shut. I started crying as I sat down in the chair by his hospital bed. The doctor said there's a chance that he could wake up tomorrow or he could wake up in weeks, months or never but it's up to him. Evie was rubbing my shoulders in a sisterly way while I was crying and looking at Ben the whole time. Kaleb, Kaiden and Katie are in the room with me, also crying. Kaleb is sitting on the other side of Ben sitting in a chair and the other two are standing and crying. We stayed the whole night while Liv, Lonnie, Jane and Bree watch the other four and Evie stayed with us. I didn't leave at all and I refused to eat until he was better. Kaleb was the same way but I made Kaiden and Katie eat.
It's now been three weeks and he still hasn't woken up. I'm really starting to worry. The kingdom misses their actual king since Jay is the substitute king.
"Mom do you think Dad will ever wake up from his coma?" Katie asked me one day while we were visiting him. It was just us because Kaleb had royal class and Kaiden was failing a class.
"He's so strong. I believe he will." I said to her as confidently as I could.
Ben's POV
I really wanted to open my eyes but they were glued shut and I kept trying and trying. I could hear my beautiful wife and my eldest daughter talking with very sad voices about me not waking up so I just had to try harder. I had a vision the hundredth time I tried opening my brown eyes. I saw a woman with black hair standing next to a man with grey locks. I recognized the man as Maurice, my mom's dad and my maternal grandfather, and François, my dad's mom and my paternal grandmother. What the heck.
"Hi Benjamin." François said.
"Hi grandma." I said to her and looked at Maurice. "Hi grandpa." I said.
"Hello Ben." He said.
"Why am I seeing you guys?" I asked.
"You are in between life and death. You can choose whether to stay with us or go back to your beautiful and amazing family." Maurice explained.
"So I can still go back and see my kids grow up?" I asked them very confused.
"Yes you can and then when it's your time, you will come and join us." François said while smiling nicely.
"Go back to the real world Ben, it's where you belong for a long long time." Maurice said to me. I went and I hugged both of them but François stopped me for a minute and I looked at her confused. Then all of a sudden I saw a little boy about four years old holding hands with a little girl about five years old.
"Who are they?" I asked Maurice.
"I'm Prince Charles Benjamin Beast and I'm four years old." The little boy introduced to me and I smiled.
"What? Your my son?" I asked, clearly confused and he shook his head.
"I am your grandson, Kaleb's son." He said and I smiled.
"And I'm Princess Victoria Elisabeth Beast." The little girl introduced.
"Are you my granddaughter?" I asked her with a smile and she nodded.
"So if I choose to go back then I'll meet you guys?" I asked them.
"Yes you will, but once Kaleb's married and has taken the throne first." Maurice said with a smile and picked up Victoria while François picked up Charles and they smiled at me.
"Victoria, when are you going to be born?" I asked her.
"February 14, 2040." She replied.
"And what about you Charles?" I asked him but Maurice replied for him.
"September 17, 2041." Maurice said.
"Okay thanks. I'll see you two cuties in five and six years." I said, gave them all a kiss and walked to the white light.
Mal's POV
Ben was thrashing in his sleep and I wondered what was happening but then I felt a squeeze on my hand and I looked at his face. He looked like he was trying really hard to open his eyes and when he finally did open them, he looked straight at my face and I started crying with joy.
"Ben!" I exclaimed and Katie rushed over to my side.
"Dad!" She said.
"Hey guys." He said with a weak tone. I called the doctor to let them know that he was awake and they released him the next day.
Ben's POV
So I'm out of the hospital now and Jay is still fulfilling my duties since I'll be out of the king part for two months. Mal, Kaleb, Kaiden, Katie and I were up at nine in the evening, talking so I took this as the opportunity to talk to them about my encounter in the dream world and about the grandkids.
"So guys I wanna tell you something." I blurted out of the blue.
"What is it dad?" Katie asked me.
"Well this involves more your mom and Kaleb but you two can stay if you want to hear my dream while I was in a coma." I told them.
"What is it Ben?" Mal asked me.
"I met my paternal grandmother and I saw my maternal grandfather in my dream while I was deciding between life or death." I started.
"You got to meet Maurice!?" Kaleb asked very excitedly. He's always wanted to meet Maurice but he died sadly when I was seventeen years old.
"Yeah. So anyways, these two children popped up all of a sudden and François and Maurice introduced them as Princess Victoria Elisabeth Beast and Prince Charles Benjamin Beast. Victoria was five and Charles four. Those are your future children Kaleb." I told him with a smile and he started smiling like crazy.
"Victoria will take the crown and we'll have a queen!" He exclaimed happily.
