Raquel POV
"LET ME GO, MAN!" I screamed gripping the frame of the door
"I SWEAR IMMA KILL HIM YO!" I screamed as Jace pulled me into the room
"Chill out Rocky!" He yelled as he put me down onto my feet
I listened to him as I started pacing the room. I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerves but it wasn't working. I put my hands on my head and sat down. I wiped the tears that had settled on my cheeks. Ugh! I hated crying, especially in front of people. It made me feel weak.
I waited five minutes till I was sure the tears had disappeared before I stood back up and went into the bathroom. I turned on the light and looked at my lip.
It was busted and started swelling, dry blood was on my lower lip and chin.
"Fuck!" I screamed slamming my hands on the sink
I put my head down and closed my eyes.
Jace came in the bathroom and grabbed my hands. They were turning red from the way I smacked the sink. I didn't even feel it, the only my thing I took notice of was the adrenaline in my veins. Pumping fast and urging me to go back down the stairs and fight his bitch ass.
"Relax, calm down we can put something on it so the swelling will go down" He said turning off the light and leading me back into the room
He sat down and motioned for me to join him. I hesitated as first but just sat down.
"So wassup?" He said shrugging his shoulders
"Fuck do you mean wassup?" I furiously asked standing up with a mug on my face
"Will you calm down?" He asked before grabbing my hand and pulling me back onto the bed
"I meant what happened between y'all down stairs?" He asked pointing towards the door
I rolled my eyes.
"I was just chilling, cooking so y'all could have something to eat when y'all wake up and then he came in the fucking kitchen tryna flirt with me and I wasn't on that shit" I said as I put my hand out in from of me shaking it in a 'no' motion
"Okay what happened after that" He asked adjusting himself on the bed
"I handed him a bowl of food then he asks me what was in my pocket and I told him that it was his wallet and took it out, he stood up getting mad and shit saying I stole it" I finished putting my hands on my chest
"So I was tryna tell him I found that shit on the floor, but he kept cutting me off" I said shaking my head
"And?" Jace asked
"And so I was walking away, if he wasn't gonna listen to me then I wasnt gonna keep repeating myself and he kept telling me what I wasn't gonna do"
"And you spit on him" Jace said
"Yea" I said back to him
"You know that's disrespectful " Jace said shaking his head
"So fucking what?" I got up and went into the bathroom
I looked at my lip again and sighed. Just like at home. Same burning feeling and everything. Just a different man.
"I don't deserve none of this shit, man. I ain't been nothing but good to people and this how they treat me." I said touching my lip but afterwards making a hissing sound due to the stinging.
"Raquel?" I heard Jace call me
"Yeah?" I looked up to see him standing in the door frame of the bathroom
"You wanna talk about it?" He asked motioning towards me
"We already did" I slightly laughed with a smile on my face
"No, I mean...." He paused
I raised my eyebrow waiting for him to finish
"...the nightmares" He said
" Jace" I stated lowly as my smile faded
"I just saw that distant look on your face...like you were thinking about it" He said
I turned to look at him. He showed nothing but concern on his face. I shook my head, no.
"I don't wanna talk about it" I said pushing past him
"Come on, you need to talk about it" He said following me
"Jace, I said no" I said
"Maybe, if you talk about it, you won't have nightmares anymore" He said sitting down on the bed beside me
I sighed and thought about it. I never had someone to talk to. Should I tell him? I looked back at Jace as he looked at me with a pleading look.
"Okay" I said
