"You got any new friends,new boy frien-"I cut my mom once I realized what she was saying

"I'm gonna keep saying this I don't like that Ginuwee boy . he's up to something he always rush you off the phone like he's got something to hide "she says driving
"Its ginuwine and mom he's starting a singing career ,I must understand how busy he is " I say
And all she responds with is 'mhm' ,I hope she understands cause he would never do anything to hurt me,we love each other .
The rest of the car ride was silent ,we pull up to our house and I unbuckle my seat belt and grab my black backpack ,I step onto the concrete with my fresh white Nike air force 1's and begin walking ,I then hear someone calling my name
"Aaliyah !Liyah" someone says and I turn around and notice its Lisa
I then turn to my mom
"Ill be in Ina sec k ?" I say and she responds with a nod ,I head my way across the street to Lisa house where she was at
"Wassup girl " I say with my hands in my pocket
"Tonight everybody going to jellybeans,usually everyone go on the first day of school basically its a welcome back celebration,its up the street we can walk ,you down ?" she says
"oh yea girl ,what time ?" I say
"8 to 11 " she says
"Ight imma call you bout 7:45 "I say slowly starting to walk back
"Okay girl " she says
"Bye hunny bunn"she says then I bust out in laughter
"You a fool,bye Lisa "she says as we both turn around heading for our doors .
I get to my doorstep and turn the doorknob and walk in ,then I drop my backpack and kick off my shoes
"Uh-uh"she says walking out with a bowl sitting it on the dinning room table as she pulls the seat from under the dining room table and sits down
I just pick up my shoes and backpack and run upstairs to my room and set them in my walk in closet . I then run back downstairs into the dinning room seeing that my mom is eating a salad while reading a newspaper with her glasses .
I creep up behind her and start rubbing her shoulders trying to seduce her
"Mom that salad looks good "I say putting my head in the crouch of her neck .
"Aaliyah ,what do you want "she says with her elbow rested on the table still looking at the news paper
"What makes you think I want something" I say looking at her with my hands froze on her shoulder
"Because when do you ever rub my shoulders ,I know my child so what you want ?" She says with her eyes above her glasses looking at Me
I slowly sat down in the chair diagonally across from her
"Well..."I started "all my new friends going to the roller rink up the street and I was invited "I say slowly
"So you askin to go or what ?"she says motioning her hands
"Yes "I say ,for a moment it was silent
I know why she is debating because we just moved here and she really dosent know her way around here or anybody here ,if we was still in Detroit she would say yes in a heartbeat
"What time"she says interrupting my Thoughts
"8 to 11" I say and she looks at me crazy when I said the last part
"8-11? On a school night ? I don't think so "she says continuing to read
"Cmon ma ,all my new friends are going " I say pouting
"Look aaliyah no later then 11:15 your feet are in this house ,or im coming up there to show out"
she says pointing at my face
"I love you ma" I say kissing her 1,000 times making A mwah sound.
I run upstairs to my room looking for something to wear ,while I was looking I started thinking ,I don't understand why my mom is being so protective, I'm a senior now I should start making my own decisions . I continue to look and I settle in with my customized jersey my mom made for my 17th birthday ,and some basketball shorts to go with it ,ending it off with a white bandana and some Nike air forces.
After I was done getting dressed I plopped on the bed and picked up my phone ,well I guess I'll call my boyfriend. I dial his number and wait for someone to pick up .
"Hello ?" I hear after three rings
"Hey baybae" I say smiling
"Wassup baby "he says as I here shuffling around in the background, also a couple whispers
"You alright ?" I say making up my face
"Yea why wouldn't I be " he said then the shuffling stops
"Just making sure my baby alright " I say
" but baby I got to tell you " I say

"So this boy gone try to mack at my locker ,then in class when I ain't wanna talk to him ,he called me a bitch ,so my ass cussed his ass out "I say rolling my eyes remembering the altercation.
" he must not know who yo boyfriend is baby " he says
"Right ,thats why I told him you gone fuck him up " I say in a serious tone ,he then bust out in laughter
"What I'm so serious right now"I say
"You a fool aaliyah "he says
"But you love this fool dont chu "I say cheesing
"I sure do "he says i can hear him cheesing through the phone
"Well baby imma get back to writing this song ,ight ?" He says
"Alright baby I love you " I say then I hung up the phone .
I start doing my make up to save time because it was only 6:50pm .
I wonder ,how is this whole thing gonna work out,I sure in the hell hope that box head ass niggs tupac ain't there or I swear ,I fight niggas.
I did my make up to save time and the time went by really fast it was already 7:40 ,I decided to call lisa ,but as soon as I reached for the telephone it started ringing and I picked it up.
"Hello?"I say
"Hey girl you ready ?" I hear lisa voice saying
"Girl I was just about to call you ,but I'm coming out right now I say
"OK"she says then she hung up ,I walked over to my closet to debate on if I should bring a jacket or not ,I decided on not bringing one . I ran downstairs to see my mom sleep on the couch, I ran to where she was and pecked her forehead and left out the door.
I see lisa and she had a high ponytail, and her bang out with some baggy black joggers with some green basketball shorts under ,timberlands and a short sleeve tommy green shirt just showing her belly button .
"Oh girl I like yo outfit "she says as we start walking
"You lookin pretty fly too " I say smiling
"Who all bout to be there " I say
"Everybody, everybody in our first hour "she says
"....that tupac nigga "I say rolling my eyes
"oh my god what Is up with you two,I was just on the phone with him and he goes "that aaliyah girl going with her mad ass"and I said "yes she's going PAC " and then he started groaning and moaning "lisa explains
"Nobody give a fuck about him "I say rolling my eyes again
Me and Lisa kept talking and walking and we finally got there .
I walked in behind Lisa and was hit with a smell of onion rings ,it smelt good ,we walked over to a table with most of the people from first hour,including tupac ,we just gave each other the death stare ,I snapped out of it once I heard Jada talking to me
"Hey Liyah girl " she says smiling and giving me a hug , I hugged her back smiling
"Well well well ,I see we got fresh meat since I been gone" a short boy says staring at me and biting his lip
"Eric everytime we got somebody new you wanna fuck with them ,keep yo dick in yo pants and come back to school " Kim says ,but I noticed tupac wasn't over here no more ,oh well I don't care.
"How you expect me not to talk to someone as fine as her " he says
I just blush and say "thank you "
He was cute don't get me wrong but he ain't in school and thats a major turn off for me ,plus I have a boyfriend
"No problem shawty " he says
The rest of the night was fun ,we all talked laughed and ate and made a fool out of ourselves skating ,Eric was still tryna mack but I wasn't giving in. Tupac never came back tho .

"What about me girl ?"Dre says with his hands up
I laugh "bye dre "
Then Me and Lisa walked out .
"Tonight was fun girl "I say
"This usually goes down every Saturday"she says
"I will most definitely be coming "I say
It was 11:00 pm sharp ,I'm pretty sure I can Make it home in time .
Me and Lisa walked ,and talked , I really like it here now ,everyone is just so chill and laid back ,I would still go back and visit but I still loved it Here.
We got to our houses and we hugged
"Bye girl "I say
"Bye hunny bunn"she sings
And we both bust out into laughter as we walked to our house .
I got in the house and my mom was sitting at the table ,
"How was it baby ?" She says
"It was actually really fun ,I like it here " I say
"Well I'm glad ,maybe you can find yourself a new boyfriend" she says looking above her glasses
"Maaaaaa" I say groaning
"Yea yea yea ,go get cleaned up . "she says
I walk up stairs ,and go into the bathroom and look in the mirror ,then I turn on the steaming hot water .
After about 45 minutes I was all cleaned up in my pajamas ready to Go to bed .
I decided to call my best friend Janet to see how's everything been.
I dial her number and she picks up right away
"who is this " she says
"Bitchhhhhhh"I say and she automatically starts laughing
"Hey Liyah ,I miss you so much girl " she says
"I miss you too,how everything been going ,any drama? "I say ready to get the inside scoop
"Girl so guess who pregnant by ralph " she says
"Ralph T ?"I say
"Mhm "she says
"Girl who ?"I say
"Nia fucking long bitch "she says
"I knew she wasn't as innocent as everyone thought!" I say yelling

I left the roller rink as soon as I seen Eric . I don't want nothing to do with his ass . but I decide im gonna apologize to aaliyah for calling her out her name ,I admit that was wrong but I've been so tired of people doing me wrong when I try to be nice ,I was tryna be nice she was just being hella rude ,I mean we can't keep ignoring each other ,we are locker numbers . so I'll do it tomorrow. I walk in my one bed room apartment and my lamp was still on . I kicked off my shoes in my closet and took off my jeans and shirt ,I slipped on some basketball shorts and walked in my kitchen and opened the fridge scanning tryna find something to eat . I settled with making a turkey sandwhich .
After I smashed my sand which I went and laid down on my bed and starred at the sealing and just thought .
