Mukti jumped at the unexpected surprise but never the less smiled and squealed in excitement.
She looked towards me and embraced me in a hug.
"Thank you, thank you so much bhai... I love you.. You are the best!" she said in a go.
"Happy Birthday bacha and I love you more..." I said hugging her tight.
"Bhai bhen ka hogaya ho toh hum bhi hai line meh!" Cabir said and literally pulled mukti towards him and hugged her tight shouting in her ears..
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BANDARIYA!!!!! KITNI BADI HOGAYI RE!!!20 YEARS.." After Cabir completed he earned a smack from Mukti making others laugh.
"ouch! "
"Main bandariya nahi hu, tu bandar hai!!" she said twisting his ear.
"bache par zulum ho raha hai dekho bhaiyon aur unki pyaari beheno!!!" he said faking tears.
What the hell! Yeh chashmish ko meri behen banane ke peeche kyun pada hai.
"Bachpan meh dekha tha tujhe lolipop khati thi, chodi chadi pehenti thi aur badi shararat karti thi aur ab dekho mar rahi hai mujhe.. Kya... Kya is din ke liye bada kiya tha tujhe?" he said wiping his fake tears.
Everyone glared at Cabir and I rolled my eyes.
"Cabir ji tumhara ho gaya ho tha mein meri beti ko wish kar lu?" my dad asked smiling sweetly and instantly Cabir zipped his mouth and threw the imaginary key outside and moved away.
Iska kuch nahi ho sakta!
We laughed at his gestures.
"Happy birthday princess! Bhagwan tumhe sari khushiya de!" dad said hugging her.
"Abhi toh dada se gussa nahi ho na?" he asked and she instantly mouthed ' no ' tears brimming in her eyes.
" I love you!"
"I love you too beta!" he said rubbing his hand on her back consoling her.
"Shhh... Nahi rote!"
Everyone wished her and settled in the living room.
Only Nandini and her friends, Navya, Sanaya and fab 5 were present. Mukti rarely made any friends. She is more of a shy and reserved person.
"Dad aap hamare sare friends se toh mile hi honge." Mukti said.
"Hah! Bohot pyare bache hai!"
"toh aap apni hone wali bahu se bhi miliye honge?" Cabir asked looking at my dad.
I choked my drink.
Gada marwaye ga mujhe!
"Bahu? Kon? Manik yeh kya bol raha hai?" he eyed me suspiciously.
" hahah... Hahah Cabir kitne ache joke marta hai tu. Dad, he is joking!" I said coughing.
He looked towards cabir and then again towards me.
I saw Cabir smirking.
Tujhe toh meh baad meh dekhonga saale!
"Ahhh kitna acha mohsum hai!!" I said looking up at the ceiling.
Kya apne kabhi ceiling se direct mohsum ka hal dekha hai, Nahi? Maine dekh liya aaj!!

"Chalo sab dance karte hai!" I said with a urgency in my voice and grapped Nandini's hand moving towards the dance floor. Instantly aryaman and fenil joined us and were followed by other pairs.

Instantly a smile crept on my face. I didn't knew whether it was at the mention of Mukti's name or Nandini's smile.
"bohot jada! She has been the only girl in my life so far." I responded proudly.
"only girl? Aur koi nahi hai?" she asked in a desperate tone and I looked at her analysing her words and expressions.
"Nahi."
"Nahi?" she asked blinking her eyes.
"Nahi!"
"oh!" she said with a hint of disappointment.

I looked towards Cabir who was wiggling his eyebrows gesturing towards Nandini and me.

"Areey mujhe kya pata? Himmat nahi hai toh mai kya karu... Just go to her and leave me alone!" she used a harsh tone and started moing towards the door.
Before she could go far I held her wrist and pulled her closer.
I could see the tears brimming in her eyes.

I broke the hug.
My eyes met hers which were now twinkling with happiness and I knew I was the reason.

I cupped her cheek not breaking the eye lock and leaned towards her.
I slowly and gently kissed her pouring all the love and affection i have for her.

"Cabir stop stuffing your mouth and come here cake katna hai!" I heard Mukti shout from outside.
We broke the trance and I asked, "Chale?" she nodded blushing.
"Chasmish kitni cute kyun ho tum?" I said and planted a kiss on her cheek making her blush more.
"Kitna kahega?" Mukti shouted again and snatched the plate from his hand when we entered the hall of mansion.
"kya? Main badta bacha hu I need food. " he pouted.
"Chalo bacha party cake cutting time!" dad announced
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAY DEAR-"
We all were cut by a familiar voice.
"d-dear mukti happy b-birthday to you *hiccup*" a lazy smirk playing on the person's lips.

I clenched my fist and tighten my grip on mukti.
