Shoot For The Stars
The Moon. The Stars.
Teachers explain them to me
First with big terms that give me a headache,
Then with simpler words that make sense.
The Moon
Pushing the ocean,
Has a dark and light side, like many of us.
A factor is some myths
A factor in life.
The Stars
Giving off light, heat, explosions,
Millions of miles away, shining dots in our limited view.
Our sun, a Star
Out of reach, like some goals seem.
The Moon. The Stars.
So far away but they help.
Relaxing the stress away
Pushing away my worries
Bringing a smile and a rare laugh to me.
So far away, but attainable,
Maybe not out of reach,
Goals, dreams, hopes.
The sky is NOT the limit;
Shoot for the stars.
