I was running as fast as I can when Des called me back again. Kanina pa kasi naghihintay si Nathan sa kotse nya. Baka mainip kakahintay sa akin at topakin pa. Baka iwan ako ng wala sa oras.
Des was saying something when I looked back at her. Tapos nagthumbs up sya. Tumango-tango nalang ako at nagthumbs up din. Itatanong ko nalang sa kanya sa susunod kung ano sinasabi nya. Nagmamadali ako eh.
Pagdating ko sa parking lot, I easily spotted Nathan's car. Sya lang naman kasi ang naka-convertible (Opo. Ganyang kayaman si Nathan. Iba-iba sasakyan. Depende sa trip nya. Di ko nga alam kung maaamaze ako o ano eh. =___=). At sa tapat lang ng kotse nya may nakatayong babae na mukhang kinakausap sya. Alanya naman. Nambababae nanaman ata to. Lagot sa akin to paglapit ko.
Pero, mali ata hinala ko. Nung naglakad kasi palayo sa kotse si girlalush at dumaan sa harap ko, mukha syang nalugi.
"Already married, already married." inis na bulong ni girlalush. "I'm gonna strangle that b***h when I find out who she was. Madapa sana."
Pinanood ko lang si naluging octopusit nung nilagpasan ako. Kawawa naman pala asawa ni Nathan. Mukha balak ipamassacre. Buti nalang di ako-- Ay, fudge. Ako nga pala yun! Ako! So balak pala nila akong ipamassacre, huh? Over Nathan's hot body (Believe me, he's hot. I've seen it. ;P)! Oo, kay Nathan katawan. Sya lang naman may kasalanan ba't nababaliw mga babae sa kanya eh.
Hinahayaan kong lumipad yung isip ko habang naglalakad papunta sa kotse nung napilitan sya bumalik. May pagka-mangkukulam ata yung babae ni Nathan eh! Hindi naman ako nadapa. Natapilok lang naman ako! Medyo masakit yung pagkakatapilok ko huh! May heels kasi sapatos ko eh. Pero di naman ganun kataas. Masakit lang talaga pagkakatapilok ko, isama mo na ang dahilan na kahiya-hiya yung nangyari pero nung naglakad ako ulit, kumikirot nalang. Di naman mukhang napilay o kailangan putulin ang paa ko.
Sumakay ako agad sa kotse ni Nathan pagdating ko. Mukhang di naman sya galit nung tinignan ko. Nakatitig nga lang sya sa akin eh.
"Ano yun, ha?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"Alin?"
"Yung si octopusit. Ano ginagawa dito?"
"Ahh." he started the car engine. "Nangungulit."
I scowled. "At nagpakult ka naman? Tss."
Ngumiti lang sya sa akin tapos kumuha ng panyo sa bulsa nya at pinunas sa beautiful face kong pinagpawisan dahil sa kakatakbo. "No. I told her that I'm married to a gorgeous lady."
I felt myself blush. "Oh, shut up. Kaya galit na galit sa akin mga babae mo eh."
"They're just jealous." he said then started driving.
I didn't answer because I can still feel the heavy feeling of my cheeks. I hate to admit it but I'm still blushing from what he said earlier.
Tahimik lang kami habang nagbibiyahe. That's why it made me wonder what is he thinking of.
"What are thinking of?" tanong ko nalang. La eh. Nacurious ako eh. Tahimik nya eh.
"Nothing particular." he shrugged. "Why?"
"Wala naman." I said. Tapos natahimik nanaman kami. Di naman ako naiilang o ano pero di ako sanay na tahimik si Nathan. "Ba't business yung kinuha mo? Ako, kaya ko kinuha yung Architecture kasi gusto ko pag may nakita yung mga tao na building o bahay na maganda yung design, pangalan ko yung sasabihin pag tinanong kung sino yung architect."
He smiled at me. "That's a nice goal."
"Ikaw nga? Ba't business?"
"Kasi ako maghahandle ng company."
"Yun lang?" I asked him skeptically. Di nga? Yung lang dahilan?
He nodded. I rolled my eyes. "Don't you have, ooh, I don't know-- a dream?"
Hindi sya sumagot kaya naman bumuntong hininga nalang ako at sumandal sa upuan ko.
"I wanted to be an engineer." he suddenly said that made me look at him. "So I can build my way to your heart."
He was smirking so I thought he's making fun of me.
"Haha." I snorted. "Funny."
He chuckled. "Haha. No. Seriously. I wanted to be an engineer. A civil engineer to be exact. But I gave it up when I realize that the company needs me more."
I stared at him. I never imagined Nathan dreaming about being at engineer.
"Why did you give up?" I asked a bit dissapointed.
Nathan shrugged. "Lolo can't handle the company forever."
"But, that's not fair."
"Who said that life's fair?" he glanced at me then touched the tip of my nose. "We can't always have the things we want in life. That's why everything we have, even if they're just little things, are so precious. Because sometimes, this little things are always the things that others can never have."
I stared at him, not believing how can he say those things. "You mean, dreaming of something is just a simple little but, other people can't do it?"
Nathan shrugged. "Maybe."
I didn't answer. Instead, I stared at him. I just realized that Nathan's life seems so perfect but, like the moon on it's perfectly fullest, there will always be a dark side in it.

"W-wait, 'lo," I said slowly to lolo. "You want us to act like we're madly in love with each other? Me and Nathan? Us? Seriously?"
Lolo Marting nodded. "You heard me right, Gi. Do it or we'll deal with my little sister's tantrums, anger, dissapointment and hurt."
I sighed. Heto ako, namroroblema. Habang si Nathan, nagfe-facebook lang ata! Tumatawa pa mag-isa!
I paced back and forth. "Well, it's your fault in the first place, 'lo. Pinakasal mo kami."
"Hey!" Nathan called. Nakikinig pala sa amin to? "We're doing just fine, aren't we?"
"Yes, yes," I answered impatiently. "You've changed alot so we're doing just fine. But, what is this 'madly in love newly weds'? What do we need to do?"
"You've got to act like real newly weds." lolo said.
"Ano gagawin namin?"
Nathan smirked while staring at the desktop's screen. "Sleep in one bed."
Lolo nodded. "I'll make this an exception on the contract."
Nathan continued on talking. "Kiss each other. Cuddle. Say sweet thing. Eat sweetly together."
I scowled. "Isn't that a little extreme? As in ultra, mega, super extreme?"
Nathan rolled his eyes. "That's what newly weds do."
Lolo nodded. "He's right."
Marahas akong napabuntong hininga. "Ok. What else?"
Lolo shrugged. He's not even helping us!
"Go out in a long walks together." Nathan answered. "Then, hmm. What's this... Ahh. Bathe together."
I nodded. "Oh. That's ea--" Wait. Bathe together? Maligo ng magkasama!? "You bloody pervert!"
I picked up the first thing that I saw near me; my bag. Then, I threw it aimly at Nathan. Seriously?! Bathe together?! Are you effing kidding me?!
"H-hey!" he said the caught my bag.
"Anong 'bathe together' ka dyan!?"
"Gianna," lolo called. "Relax. Nathan's joking."
Yinakap ni Nathan yung bag ko. "Yun yung nakasulat dito sa Google eh!"
I growled. Bathe together?! WTFudge! That's just so embarassing!
"Ok, ok. That was just a joke." Nathan said. Napailing nalang si lolo.
"Gianna, wag ka masyado affected. Just relax and let Nathan do all the work. Aftre all, we, Miguels' are charmers."
Yeah, right. Nathan just proved that by having those octopusits clinging on him.
Tumayo na si Nathan sa pagkaupo tapos lumapit sa akin. Then, he turned to lolo.
"We want an allowance increase after this, old man."
Lolo shrugged. "Do it well and I'll double your allowance."
"Deal." sabi nalang ni Nathan tapos hinila na ako palabas ng office ni lolo.
Napabuntong hininga naman ako at napailing. Badtrip lang, dre.
"Nathan," I called him.
"Hmm?"
"Anong balak mo nyan?"
He smiled at me. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright. I wasn't a casanova for nothing."
I pulled him to stop. "You're saying that you're gona treat me like those octopusits?"
"Now, Gi--"
"Sht! Don't you dare." I pulled my hand from his hold out of frustration. "Gosh. You're leveling me with your flings? Kapal mo."
And with that, I stormed out of the building and hailed a taxi. Bahala sya! Grabe. Ganon?! Para magmukha kaming baliw sa isa't isa, tatratuhin nya ako gaya ng pagtrato nya sa mga octopusits nya?! Anong feeling nya non?! Kapal nya!

I continued glaring at Josh Hutcherson's face while watching Journey to the center of the Earth. Badtrip talaga yung Nathan na yun. Ni hindi man sumunod sa akin. Tss.
I glanced at the door when I heard a knock.
"Had a fight with your dear husband?" bungad kaagad sa akin ni tita Marian.
Sumbong naman ata kaagad si Nathan. "Kind of, tita."
Umupo sya sa tabi ko.
"You know, Gianna," tita Marian started. "Having an arguement with your husband is just a tiny step in a happy marriage. But that doesn't mean you should always fight."
I shrugged. Tapos lumapit si Nathan sa ain.
"Tita, can I talk to my wife?" he asked.
"Oh. Sure, dear." sagot naman ni Tita Marian.
"In private?" dagdag ni Nathan nung di gumalaw si tita Marian.
"Oh." she chuckled then stood up. "Pardon me. Well then, I'll just look around the house."
Nathan nodded. "If you need anything, just talk to ate Beth."
Tumango naman si tita Marian tapos umalis na. Nathan occupied the seat where tita Marian was sitting on before.
I just stared and waited for him to talk. And, he just stared back. Ah, so... ganyan? Titigan nalang? Kung ganon rin la--
"I won't treat you the way I treat those girls." he started. "What I mean about what I said earlier is, I'll just, like, be myself. What's the point of watching all those unending Barbie movies if I treat you badly?"
"O tapos? Ano gusto mong gawin ko?" I said.
He held my hand, sending warm sensations on my stomach that made it flip. Tss. "Can you forgive me for making you mad?"
I stared at his pleading eyes. Gawd. How can I say no to those eyes!?
"Fine." I said defeatedly.
He smiled, showing his dimples again. Geeeeez. "Thanks."
"I hate you." I pouted. Ba't ba lagi kong napagbibigyan tong lalaking to?
"I know." he chuckled. "Now, gorgeous wife, whatever I do, just act natural, ok?"
I shrugged. There he goes with his 'Gorgeous Wife' to me. It's making my stomach flip over in happiness. Tss.
He, then, touched the tip of my nose. "You're gorgeous."
I felt myself go red. Argh. Ba't ba napapadalas pag-atake ni blush? "Stop teasing."
He chuckled. "Come closer."
Ginawa ko naman. Paglapit ko sa kanya, may binulong sya sa akin.
"When I catch you, I'm gonna tickle you until you drop." he whispered.
I glanced slowly at him then bit my lip. He's freaking serious!
Tumayo ako at dahan-dahang lumayo sa kanya. "Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no."
He smirked evilly. Owmegas. "Oh, yes."
"Don't you da-- Ahh!" I screamed when he tried to grab me.
Oh, no!! He's freaking bloody serious and he's coming after me!
"Stop! Nathan! Wag! Hahaha!" I laughed when he tried me again. This time, nagpaikot-ikot kami sa sofa na parang mga bata. XD
At dahil na rin mabilis gumalaw si Nathan, di pa man ako nakakalayo sa kanya, nahuli nya na ako!
And, I was like, laughing with abandon while he's tickling me on my sides. We laughed in harmony together because of our silliness.
"HAHAHA! T-tama na! P-please! Hahaha!" I begged him nung napahiga na ako sa sahig kakatawa.
"No," he chuckled. "I love the sound of your laugh."
"Shut up-- HAHAHAHA!" I laughed out loud again. Then, I made a grab and hugged him just to make him stop.
"Tama n-na. Please?" sabi ko sa kanya habang tumatawa at humihingal.
"Ok, ok." he said whild laughing. Then, he stopped tickling me.
We laid there on the floor, staring at each other's eyes.
"Don't leave me like that again, ok?" he said the brushed some strands of my hair that fell to my face.
"Ok." I said then got up and pulled him.
He got up then smiled and stared at me intently. Like he was saying that he's happy being with me.
The thought made me smile. I think Nathan did changed. Maybe he cares for me now that we're married. And, you know what? I'm happy that I'm with him. ;)
