Living as a country bumpkin wasn't all that bad. Other than being outdated 24/7, you still lived a pretty decent life. However, the fact that your parents were trying to pay off a huge dept from the bank all the way in Seoul and feed you and your siblings at the same time made your heart break. Why couldn't you lead a more stable life with your parents?
You wanted them to smile more often. You wanted them to stop all the hard labor they were doing all this while. You wanted them to stop receiving red marked bills. You wanted everything to stop. "Mom, dad," you hesitantly said as you saw them working hard on the fields, a sheen of sweat covering their foreheads. "Yes dear?" Your mom plastered a smile over her tired face, trying to cover up the fact that she was dead tired. "I've got a scholarship to Seoul university. I'm so sorry for not telling you about the fact that I went to take an entrance examination, I'm so so..." Before you could finish your rambling, your mother squealed before patting her husband on the back excitedly, your father looking at you amused. "So..." You trailed, not knowing how to respond to their behavior. "Go for it!" You father exclaimed as he ruffled your hair, dirtying your hair and making you shout out cheekily before running away from your dad, making him call out to you before he started crossing the fence, off to chase you.
And that is why you were now currently standing in the middle of the bus terminal, your luggage in one hand while carrying your backpack.
Looking around, you sighed as a sudden memory hit you, making your fists clench slightly, trying to push away the tears that threatened to fall. No, you will absolutely and absolutely not think about him.

Stupid asshole, you cursed as you opened your eyes and pulled the luggage away. "Oh hi! I'm suspecting you're my new roommate?" A short girl greeted excitedly as she walked up to you. "Yeap," you responded cheerfully, placing your luggage down.
Dorms were provided as part of the package for the scholarship. Thank god your room mate was nice.
"I'll let you settle down before bringing you around the school?" The girl said before turning around and grabbing her phone. "Ah sorry I forgot, I'm hyun soo," the girl smiled cheekily as she turned back to face you. "Ailee," you smiled as you shook your hand. "Nice meeting you Ailee," she grinned before skipping out of the dorm, making you wonder what could have possibly made her so happy.

"And this is the lockers, just nice, yours is right beside mine!" Hyun Soo squealed as she looked at your key, making you chuckled at how energetic this girl was. "Oh my gosh! I got CAT1 tickets I can't believe it!" A girl suddenly squealed as she walked pass. "Urgh! I want my Hoseokie to notice me," another pouted, making you freeze instantly.
Hoseok? It can't be him can it? He did say he wanted to become a dancer... No no no, it was a mix up. Definitely a mix up. "Oh I forgot!" Hyun Soo squealed as she jumped up and down. "BTS is in town today!" Hyun Soo smiled widely as she tried to contain her excitement. "And?" You laughed as you saw her so excited, as if her head was about to explode.
OK maybe not because that will definitely be bloody and pretty gross. "Since you're my new best friend, and also because I have an extra ticket, let's go! I'll get you to like them!" She smiled happily before dragging you down the hallways.
Oh did you forget to mention? You guys have upgraded from acquaintances to new best friends. The connection and click was just there. "Who are they?" You smiled as she dragged you to the rooms and threw the door open before plopping onto the bed dreamily. "They're amazing. You'll find out when you reach alright?" Hyun soon giggled as she took her phone before crazily starting to type.
Your mind slightly started wandering as you sat on your bed, his name crossing your mind.
It can't be can it? It can't be him...
You clenched your fist as a wave of sadness and nostalgia hit you. You missed him. You wanted him back. You still loved him.
Even after those years and years of effort put into trying to push him out, to try and forget him. You'd never forget your ray of sunshine, the only person who made you smile the brightest everyday other than your parents. He was your everything.
And because of that one dream he had, he left.
Your teeth were clenched together tightly as you tried to force your tears away. You couldn't let this relationship, this heartbreak he caused ruin your life, ruin your dreams, ruin your future.
No, it can't possibly be him. It won't be him. Definitely not him.
After a few hours of chatting, you and Hyun Soo headed out. Wearing casual jeans and a hoodie, you smiled as Hyun Soo wore her converse shoes before walking out of the dorm, a huge smile plastered over her face as she continuously blabbered excited.
Chuckling at her cute behavior, you lined up outside the concert hall with her still jumping up and down excitedly. "Jhope oppa said he's going to announce something," a whisper suddenly caught your attention.
J...hope? Hope?
Your heart squeezed itself as a memory flashed by : "I'll be your hope forever Ailee!" He chuckled as his arms circled your waist, his head resting against your shoulder gently as the winds blew past.
Chuckling, you patted his head as you looked at the amazing view before you. Maybe it was just the top of a small hill close to your village, but the view was still breathtaking.
"Earth to Ailee," you were suddenly snapped out of your trance by Hyun Soo who was already past security, motioning for you to step past the metal detector machine of some sort. Walking pass the security who replied with an ok once the machine beeped, you headed into the direction Hyun Soo was in. "We got standing tickets thanks to my months and months of saving," she chuckled. "How come you got two?" You asked curiously.
The excitement, that fire suddenly died down in her eyes instantly as her eyes darkened slightly. A frown made its way across her face but she instantly shook it off, shooting you a smile before replying, "I was supposed to go with my ex-friend. But she...she went with someone else." "Oh I'm sorry," you mumbled as you saw her smile sadly. "Its fine though! You're my new friend! Who cares about her," Hyun Soo's positive energy immediately returned and at that very moment, the lights darkened.
The fan girls all around started screaming crazily, including Hyun Soo who was a lot more jumpy than before.
Covering your ears slightly as the noise, you smiled as your friend was practically on the verge of tears as the music started playing.
Closing your eyes and letting the music play, you couldn't help but enjoy the wonderful beat and lyrics which were pretty sick, just saying.
You opened your eyes as the flashing lights blinded you but you could roughly make out the guys dancing on stage.
Your mouth widened at how amazing they seemed. They moved perfectly in sync and their voices were melodic. The rappers were pretty amazing as their rap was smooth as hell.
But you couldn't help but feel something familiar, as if the voice that was rapping now was slightly familiar. "Who's the guy rapping now," you shouted at Hyun Soo who seemed to be fan girling over a guy by the name of "Jimin". You couldn't see who the rapper was as the fan girls in front were blocking you slightly and you didn't want to push them of any sort. "Jhope!" Hyun soo managed to shout back. "Who?" You tried asking again as the name she said was too muffled. "Jung Hoseok!" She shouted back even louder making you freeze instantly.
Whipping your head back towards his stage, your eyes wide as ever, your heart clenched instantly as you saw him, dancing on stage, rapping with a huge smile on his face.
Your breaths started becoming shallow as you felt your heart drop, an unpleasant feeling pooling in the pits of your stomach. "I'm going out for some fresh air," you managed to croak out to Hyun Soo; loud enough for her to hear and shoot you a concerned look before nodding.
You pushed pass the thousands and thousands of fan girls, you breath caught in your throat as warm tears started trickling down your face.
You felt the memories surface again as you pushed pass the girls, causing glares and curses to be thrown in your way: "Why?" You asked dryly, your tears already streaming down your face as you clutched his arm desperately. You didn't want to lose him, not to a stupid job. "It's my dream to be a dancer, please Ailee," he brushed you off harshly as he pushed your away lightly, making your heart shatter instantly at that very moment.
He sighed before dragging his luggage, walking down the road, his image getting further and further away, leaving you there on the ground, crying and screaming as you clutched your heart, crying and hoping for him to return. For him to come back and comfort you, for him to tell you that this was a nightmare.
But he never ever returned. No scratch that, he never even turned around for one last glance.
He left you there, and that was that.
Pushing the back door open, you cried out as you screamed. Thank God the alleyway at the back of the concert hall was empty.
You thumped your chest slowly with your fists as you shut your eyes, tears still streaming down your face. It hurt, it hurts. To see him so successful and happy after leaving you, it hurts. You couldn't help but feel the pain, as if you were just a passing stone in his life.
"I hate you! Jung Hoseok!" You screamed as you crouched down, your arms wrapped around your knees as you cried, your heart shattering bit by bit.

"I know I said I have something to announce didn't I?" Jhope sighed as the fan girls around screamed.
He looked at his members who all gave him smiles of reassurance.
Taking in a deep breath, he spoke, " Kim Ailee, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left you, I'm sorry for breaking your heart, I'm sorry for everything. Maybe you're here, maybe you'll see this through the television, maybe you'll never find out about what I'm saying now, but all I want to say is, Ailee I still love you. I'm so sorry for leaving you, leaving you all for this dream. Maybe it wasn't worth it, your love was still the only thing that could make me the happiest, but dancing was practically my second best friend. I still love you a lot Ailee and I'm so sorry for leaving you, I really want to make it up to you, so please can you give me another chance?" He hesitated after that question, the entire concert hall started having murmuring and some fan girls started crying while other started chanting Ailee's name. "That's all thank you," he murmured as he passed the mice back to Rap Monster. "Kim Ailee?" A voice suddenly asked out, the loudest from all the murmuring.
Jhope's head instantly whipped itself backwards, facing the girl whose eyes showed much concern. "Long, black hair? Dark eyes?" The girls asked, her voice faltering slightly and Jhope felt his heart stop. "Shit," the girl cursed as she started pushing past the other fans breaking Intl a sprint as the sea of girls started parting, allowing the girl to head towards the exit. "Follow her," Jhope said as he ran backstage, his heart racing as he hoped that the girl that the brown hair girl was talking about was definitely who he was looking for.
He missed you. He wanted your embrace back. He wanted your smiled back. He wanted your laughter back. He wanted you back.
