Dedication: Bloody_inspired_mary for voting for so many of the chapters! Thank you!

Recap:

"It's okay, I understand," I heard her say into the phone, a bit of her brunette hair wrapped around her index finger. "I have missed you." I cocked my head to the side. "Okay, I'll see you tonight. I love you, Isaac."

Turning from her, I strode out of the library, my teeth gritted.

That two-timing, son of a bitch.

---------------------

*WARNING - There is an intimate scene in this chapter. Feel free to skip it if you don't feel comfortable reading it. I will put another warning as the scene starts*

I tapped my foot restlessly, my arms folded across my chest as I waited for Isaac.

I was meeting him, briefly, before going to my study meet-up with Josh. I had finished my therapy session 15 minutes early, as Dr Ainsley is really impressed with how open and honest I've been. I've come to realise it's much easier telling the truth and being open about how I feel. It makes me feel a lot better.

As I have been ignoring Isaac's text, due to discovering he has been still seeing Amelia, when he kind of has been seeing me as well. We had made out a few times and we were just... I don't even know. Do I even have the right to be mad? I was going to end things with him anyway. Maybe there was nothing to even 'end'.

I finally replied to one of his messages and decided to meet up with him.

"Hey," he said breathlessly, coming over to my table.

He leaned down, planning to kiss me, but I jerked my chin away from him, glaring at the floor. I could see his body tense as he sat down across from me.

"Sadie, what's wrong?"

I took a sip of my coffee, trying to keep control of my anger. I let out a steady breath, finally lifting my eyes.

"What's your game here, Isaac?"

He raised his eyebrows. "What?"

"What are you doing with me?" I asked him, my fingers tightening around my coffee cup, the warmth heating up my cold fingers. "Am I just a joke to you? Do you think playing with my feelings is fun?"

"What the fuck are you talking about?" he asked cluelessly.

"You're still seeing Amelia, aren't you?"

He closed his eyes and sighed. "I didn't mean to hurt you. You were so distant and we met up to talk about things..."

I rolled my eyes dramatically, even though I was much more hurt than I was letting on. "Wow, you and Casey really know how to fuck a girl over."

"I don't even care for her," he insisted. "I was lonely and she was there. You're the one-"

"Oh Jesus," I groaned. "Save it. Honestly. I was thinking of ending whatever this was with you anyway so thanks for beating me to it. Have a good life."

"Sadie," he exclaimed, his voice sounding panicked. "Don't be like this. Please."

I held my hand up. "It's done."

"Sadie-"

"Goodbye, Isaac."

I turned my back to him and made my way out of the small coffee shop. I strode towards Casey's - my - car, sliding into the driver side and blasting the heat. I pulled from the curb, my hands shaking.

I drove to the library. Holding my coffee in my left hand and my textbooks in my right, I entered.

Josh was already there. He was leaning onto his book, his phone in his hand. I went over and sat down beside him. He had changed from his uniform was now wearing a black t-shirt and dark, skinny jeans.

"Hey," he greeted with a friendly smile. He noticed my pale face and shaky hands immediately. I wasn't very subtle. "What's wrong?"

I flexed my fingers once I placed everything down, trying to stop them shaking. "Nothing, I'm fine. Let's just get started."

He frowned, clearly not believing me. "Show me what notes you have last and we'll go from there."

I embraced the idea of studying with open arms. I needed to get my mind off Isaac and all other thoughts whirling around inside my head.

We studied for about an hour and a half, before my eyes were stinging, my neck was stiff and my stomach was sounding like a dying whale.

"How about we call it quits for the night and go grab something to eat?" Josh yawned, stretching his arms behind his head. His biceps flexed deliciously as he did and I was embarrassed to find myself checking him out.

"Sounds good to me," I agreed, stifling my own yawn.

I was very happy with the amount I learnt. I had caught up surprisingly easy. His notes were very to-the-point and easy to understand.

My left leg was asleep when I stood up and I limped behind Josh, trying to regain feeling.

"This way," he said, heading over to his car.

I nervously stared at it. I didn't even know him that well... Should I trust him?

Before I could weigh the pros and cons of this situation, he took my books from my arms, throwing them ungracefully into the back. Shrugging, I climbed into his ute. Honestly, what more could someone do to me at this point? If they wanted to kill me, I would hardly put up a fight.

"Where to?"

I shrugged again.

"Let's go to the burger shack," he decided and I nodded.

I haven't been eating much, just very small meals to ease my hunger, but a burger sounded bloody good right now. My mouth began watering just at the thought.

The burger shack in town had a window on the outside, so people could pull up in their cars at night. He ordered our meals and paid, ignoring me when I tried to pass him my debit card.

"You didn't have to pay for me," I frowned. "You've already done enough by helping me catch up."

"I was a dick," he reminded me. "I definitely owed you at least a meal."

After a few minutes, the greasy-haired guy with acne handed us our meals. Josh give him a $3 tip for his "excellent service". I rolled my eyes.

We headed up towards the look out. I had been a few times and it was always packed but tonight, there wasn't another car there. Josh reversed in, before getting out. Curious, I followed him. He pulled the tailgate down and placed a rug down. I quirked an eyebrow at him.

"Wow, do you do this often?"

"I come here with my mates all the time to watch the surf," he explained.

I'm sure he has brought a number of girls up here, as well.

I hopped up onto the tail gate, my burger warming my lap. The cool wind hit my cheeks and I re-did my hair, securing it in a low pony tail, pulling the loose tendrils back.

"You really are beautiful, Sadie," Josh commented and I turned my head, to see him watching me. "There's something about you. Definitely a bit dark and scary, but really pretty."

"Um, thanks? I think?"

He chuckled.

I unwrapped my burger, before taking a big bite. I am embarrassed that I moaned in pleasure at the taste of it. I had deprived myself of delicious food for too long. I missed it.

Josh chuckled, again. "Enjoying it?"

"I haven't had greasy food in ages," I told him with a soft groan. "This is so good."

I demolished the burger quickly, before slurping down my coke. I reached into the middle of us and grabbed some hot chips. The salty taste on my tongue almost made me want to groan again.

Finally, I felt like I had an appetite again. I powered through the chips, hardly offering him any in the process.

"Why are you acting like you haven't had food in months?" he questioned with a slight laugh, an amused expression on his face.

"I haven't had an appetite and I went a few days without eating. It made me sick."

"You have some serious issues, girl," he replied bluntly. "It's kind of hot, though."

I didn't take offense to it. I am crazy. I can't really deny it any more.

We engaged in conversation as we finished off our meals. I was really surprised at how easy-going Josh is. We talked, we laughed and we enjoyed each other's company. Well, I enjoyed his, anyway.

I finished my drink and placed it into the cup holder. When I looked back up, Josh's face was inches from mine.

*WARNING - Intimate scene begins here*

"Tell me to stop," he demanded, almost like the first time we made out.

I stayed silent.

He pressed his lips to mine in a rush. I turned my body to him, tangling my fingers in his dark hair. My anger, confusion, fear and passion poured into the kiss and soon, I was straddling him, his warm fingers dancing across the skin of my stomach.

Screw Isaac. Screw Casey.

I'm doing this for me.

His hands began roaming my body. His lips were cold from his drink and I could taste the chicken from our burgers as we kissed. His hands were both soft and rough as he tugged at my shirt. I pulled it over my head, pressing my chest to his, loving the feel of his warm skin rubbing against mine.

It hardly registered to me that this is a public place and another car could pull up at any second.

His hand cupped my breast as the kiss went deeper. I reached for him, my hand rubbing against his jeans. He groaned loudly into my mouth.

"Fuck," he hissed. "Sadie, I am going to do very bad things to you if you keep that up."

I continued, suddenly feeling an overwhelming sense of confidence wash over me. I was losing myself in him. I was pushing away Casey, Isaac, the messages, everything, away. I forced everything out of my mind as I focused on Josh.

I was enjoying being with Josh and not pretending he was Casey. This is progress, right?

Josh flipped me onto my back. Even with the rug, I could feel the hard lines of the ute beneath me. It wasn't very comfortable, but that didn't worry me right now. His hot lips moved from my lips, to my jaw, to my neck, down to my heaving chest. His tongue ran lines down my body and soon, my pants were getting pulled down.

"Tell me to stop," he kept whispering, almost insisting. "Tell me to stop."

"Don't stop," I murmured.

I don't even know how we got there so fast, but we were suddenly doing it. His hot breath fanned my neck, his hands holding my arms over my head, his body moving on top of mine in short, quick thrusts. My breath was coming out in fast pants.

His lips breathlessly met mine. Sweat gathered on my forehead, despite the chilly temperature.

I let out a loud moan as we finished at the same time. I could hear the thump of my heart beat in my ears as his warm hand found mine.

He slumped onto me, burying his face into the crook of my neck.

"Well," he whispered, propping himself up and staring down at me. He delicately ran his fingers down my cheek, cupping my face. "We should study together more often."

Did anyone expect that to happen? Do you think it was wise of her to do that? And do you think Casey knows/saw? Or Isaac? Let me know your thoughts!
