I rolled on the other side of the bed and sighed.Waking up into a hotel room made me feel somewhat empty.I had been waking up to a foreign room for a week now.I heard the water running and immediately assumed Shawn was taking a shower
We had been staying in a hotel because the staff we hired to clean the house and replace the broken furnitures were not done just yet. Unfortunately for us the police didn't find any fingerprints and couldn't identify Beas handwriting so for the moment she was only a suspect...But she was nowhere to be found.Neither was Kate Bremer.We even visited her parents and they told us that Kate had left to Europe for the month
Shawn tried to make this week as interesting as he could for me. He flew his tattoo artist from Toronto to New York so I could get a tattoo.I chose a rose,because besides that I love them as a flower,to me they resemblance hope.I mean I did use a rose to get Shawn and my life back
We went out on a lot of dates and took alot of pictures.We were also very active on social media and that definitely surprised everyone. I taught Shawn how to draw a heart,it was hilarious.A lot of paper was spent that day until he actually got it right
Jake,Shawns bodyguard hasn't left our side for a second this week.Shawn even hired a bodyguard to guard our hotel room. And Shawn definitely wasn't kidding when he told me I couldn't go to work because it wasn't safe...So yeah you could say that I'm kinda stuck
The bathroom door opened and I saw Shawn standing there,with only a towel wrapped around his waist.He ran his fingers through his wet hair as he made his way towards me.He smiled as he sat down on the edge of the bed-"Good morning"
"Good morning"-I smiled,pressing my lips onto his-"I love you"
"I love you too"
How did I even get this lucky?
This wonderful human being was mine..
"What do you want to do today?"-he asked me as he moved so he was hovering over me
"How about a lazy day?"-I smiled-"We can watch a movie and eat unhealthy snacks"
"That equals a lot of calories"-Shawn teased-"But don't worry,I have an idea on how to burn them"
He wiggled his eyebrows and I laughed smacking his arm-"Of course you would know that"
He kissed the top of my head-"I was just kidding"
He got up the bed and went to the closet.He looked at me and smiled before adding-"I was definitely not kidding"
"I know"
So we spent the day watching romance movies and eating unhealthy snacks just like we promised.When the evening arrived,my head was resting on Shawns bare chest and I was trying to catch my breath-"That was.."
"Amazing"-he finished for me as he kissed the top of my head-"That was amazing"
I nodded snuggling even closer to him-"I love this.Just us,no worries and no one to interrupt"
"I love it too"-he said playing with my hair and suddenly he started chuckling underneath his breath-"I have to tell you something"
"What?"
"When we broke up,about the whole James thing "-he started and I nodded my head to tell him he had my attention-"Andrew asked me to go out with his niece-"
"On a date?"-I questioned jealousy burning up my veins
"More or less.I didn't really consider it as a date.It was more like a favor to Andrew for me"-he intertwined our fingers-"Anyways,we went to this club and do you know what I did?"
I shook my head-"No.What did you do?"
"I accidentally ordered her your favorite drink"-he chuckled-"And I remember she told me,I hate cherry vodka"
"Who the hell hates cherry vodka? It's amazing"-I huffed with a little smile
"You know what I realized that night?"-He asked,but he didn't wait for me to reply before he started talking-"I realized that I was so used to being with you,I had forgotten what it felt like being without you.I felt empty.Even with Andrews niece sitting across from me in the club table,all I could think about was you. How her blue eyes were the complete opposite of your brown,greenish ones. Or how her smile was nowhere as enthusiastic as yours.Or how her laugh sounded only like a laugh,while yours is like a melody to me. Did you go out with anyone while we were apart?"
"No. I was a mess. I remember telling my mom that I was heartbroken and it felt like my heart was on the ground and you were stepping constantly on it"-I squeezed my eyes shut and upon noticing that,Shawn pulled me even closer to him
"I'm here now.I'm not gonna leave,not now...not ever"-he whispered kissing my lips gently-"I love you"
"I love you too"
That night we slept peacefully and the next morning,I was awaken by my phone. Rubbing my eyes before opening them,I reached for my phone
"Hello?"-I mumbled sheepishly as I sat upright and started walking towards the bathroom.I didn't want to wake Shawn up
"Good Morning.Is this Alana Dayes speaking?"-the voice that belonged to a woman asked
"Yes,this is her"
"I'm Helena Thorne,the CEO of Thorne industries.We spoke a couple of weeks ago about a contract.."

This contract was extremely important to me and my company.If I sign this,my company will grow up to 3 times by the end of the year
"Yes,yes of course"-I said closing the bathroom door behind me-"How can I help you?"
"Well,I am interested in investing in your company "-she started-"I'm currently in New York.I was thinking maybe we could meet at your headquarters so we could discuss about some terms.I know it's Sunday,maybe you have plans but I leave this afternoon so we don't really have time"
"I understand,I don't have any plans anyways "-I said trying to contain my excitement so I wouldn't appear as a child-"What time should we meet?"
"2 hours from now works me"-she said and I nodded.I could definitely get ready for a hour
"Perfect.I'll see you then Mrs. Thorne"
"I will see you soon Mrs. Dayes. Goodbye"
She hung up.I took a shower,brushed my teeth,straightened my hair and wore a pair of pants with a shirt,applying only some mascara and lipstick on my face,I reached for my perfume and sprayed it all over my body.
Grabbing a pen and a paper,I wrote a letter for Shawn and left it next to where he was sleeping
Shawn,In case you wake up before I come back,I am at my office for some business deals. I love you.
I grabbed my coat and handbag and practically ran out the hotel door. After a 20 minute drive I parked my car infront of the building my office was located on.I had to open the front door myself because there was no one here today.It was a non working day after all
I entered the elevator and pressed the top floor.I took a look at my reflection in the mirror.I looked great,mature if you could say.It's my first time contacting with such a powerful company and I'm obviously freaking out.I took the keys out of my bag and opened my office door.I entered it but suddenly my feet froze,I couldn't bring myself to move.My throat went dry as I saw Kate Bremer sitting down on my chair-"Well hello Alana"
No words came out of my mouth.What the hell was she doing here?
I heard the door lock behind me and I turned around immediately.My eyes widened in horror as I see Bea holding the key on her hands... unfortunately for me,the key wasn't the only thing she was holding.On her other hand,she was holding a gun...
