We've been in Canada for 3 days now and for some odd reason,Shawn has been giving me the cheesiest pick up lines he could come up with
"Shawn! First of all you should've thrown that line at me when we started dating,not after 4 years"-I said laughing-"Second of all,please stop with the pickup lines!"
"Okay fair enough.Let me think of another one"-he said running his hand through his hair.His face lit up in a childish way and I immediately knew he came up with something -"Did you die recently?"
"Are you trying to tell me I look like a corpse?"-I interrupted as I looked at Shawn in utter horror.I mean I knew I wasn't having a good hair day but I didn't think it was this bad
"What?"-Shawn asked confused-"This is not how it's supposed to go! I was about to say 'Did you die recently? Cause girl, you look like an angel to me' but you didn't let me finish"
I placed my palm on his back-"I'm sorry for interrupting you baby"
"You touched me"-he smirked-"Now I can tell everyone I was touched by an angel"
I hit his back.Really hard
"Ow"-he hissed trying to rub his back where I'd just hit him
"Seriously stop!"-I tried being mad at him but ended up laughing along with him like an idiot
"Okay,okay"-he laughed-"1 last one"
"Fine"
"Did you know that when you kiss someone for a minute,you burn 3 calories?"-he raised his brow before giving me a cocky smirk-"Wanna burn some calories with me?"
I looked at him blankly-"Are you implying that I'm fat?"
His mouth fell open-"WHAT? I swear to god that's not what I meant.How the fuck do you turn pickup lines into a negative sentence? That's pure talent!"
I chuckled-"I was just kidding,Shawn"
He reached over at me and gave me a kiss-"I know "
"Come on now.Let's finish shopping cause I'm so tired I can't wait to crash to bed"-I said as I pulled him.We've been out all day,shopping for things that Shawn might need at his now furnished condo.The condo was amazing,especially the view.Shawn had hired an architect and an interior designer to furnish and decorate for him.Long story short,they did an amazing job.
"We need to pick up some bed sheets"-Shawn said as we walked through the store
"Okay"
"We're sleeping in the condo tonight"-he suddenly said and I smiled at his enthusiasm.I pinched his cheek
"You're cute"
"Do you want another pickup line?"-he asked and my eyes widen
"Nope. I'm good"-I said helping Shawn pick out some towels.For some reason,he wants them to be white.
"Now a bathrobe"-he said flipping through the bathrobes trying to find his number-"You have to pick one out too"
"Why?"
He breathed out-"Because...I want you to have everything you need back at my condo,I want you to be comfortable like in your own house.I don't want you packing up an entire luggage just because you're sleeping over"
My heart tightened-"That sounds amazing"
"I know right? Not to mention I've already told Aaliyah to get you some PJs,underwear and a couple of clothes.Oh and a toothbrush"
"Aaliyah picked them up for me?"
"Yeah,she just texted me telling me that she sent them over at the condo."
"You Mendes siblings are up to something and I will find out what"-I pointed my finger at him
"You can always try Dayes"-he laughed paying for the things that we bought -"Don't worry though.You'll find out soon enough"
I raised my brow-"So there is something?"
"There definitely is"-he smirked.Stupid handsome shit.
As we entered his condo the smell of food filled up my nose.-"Did you order dinner?"
"Yeah,I told Aaliyah to pick up some Chinese on her way here"-Shawn said as he put down the plastic bags.We made our way into the kitchen and found the table all set.There were 2 Chinese takeout boxes and 2 glasses with a note attached to it.I picked up the note and read it out loud
"Here's your dinner lovebirds.Lana your clothes are on the second shelf and your PJs and underwear are on the 3rd drawer in the bedroom.Have fun tonight and enjoy yourselves. Love,Aaliyah and Daniel"-I was still reading when Shawn interrupted me
"What? She came over with Daniel? Oh she has another thing coming"-he started saying and I rolled my eyes raising my voice to read the last sentence
"Ps. We stacked a few condoms in the drawer next to the bed.Just in case. Attached with a smiley face"
I turned to see Shawn trying to hold back a laugh.I starred at him blankly,I knew I was blushing.Hard
"Shawn that's not funny"
Now I was the one trying to hold back a laugh of utter embarrassment
"It kind of is"-he laughed wrapping his arms around me
"That's embarrassing! What if they tell your parents? Oh god what would your mom think?"-I worried.I knew it was nothing to worry about but I always tried to keep PDA low in front of our parents and now I could imagine Aaliyah telling Karen she put condoms in the bedroom.Oh god.Oh god.Oh god.
I sat down on the table.Rubbing my face with my hands.
"To be honest Lana they probably know.I mean we do sleep together in a room everytime we see them on holidays or even at my house now.They know I'm not keeping my hands to myself"-he said as we took a bite of the dinner.
"That's not helping Shawn"-I said taking a sip of my drink-"But yeah...Can you believe you were my first everything?"
He chuckled-"I'm really proud of that.I was your first kiss,boyfriend,your first time.."
"I'm really glad it was you"-I smiled-"I'm glad we didn't have to go through an unplanned pregnancy though."
"Yeah me to"-Shawn agreed-"I wouldn't mind at all though ..If you were pregnant.I can't wait to be a dad"
"You're gonna be an amazing father"-I smiled as I cleaned out the table.Throwing the boxes into some plastic bag and putting the glasses on the sink.Shawn and I decided to go to bed.I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth.I threw some cold water on my face and brushed my hair.
I got out the bathroom and entered the bedroom.Shawn was still downstairs looking for his charger.I walked over to the second drawer to look for my pajamas.I grabbed the lace material in my hand and looked at it...Were these even considered pajamas?
I checked through the drawer.They were all like this! Booty shorts with a revealing shirt

I took a deep breath and wore them.I sprayed some body spray and got under the sheets.Shawn came in the room a minute after.He got rid of his shirt and pants and was now only on his boxers.He layed next to me and pulled me closer to him
"Roses are red,violets are blue.You're my only one and I love you"-he said as he played with my hand
I chuckled-"You're taking this whole pickup line thing to another level"
He laughed-"Make one for me?"
I started thinking and laughed to myself as I came up with it.-"Roses are red.I'm going to bed"
I pecked his lips and turned the lights off as I rolled on the other side.
Shawn huffed -"I should've known your sarcastic ass would've come with something like that"
"Yeah.I love you too"-I said already half asleep.I was exhausted and Shawns bed happened to be extremely comfortable.I tried to sleep.Key word....Tried
I didn't get much sleep last night.Those pajamas were probably the one thing to blame.

I was awakening by several kisses being placed on my cheek and jaw-"Wake up you sleepyhead"
I stretched my arms as I rolled on the other side of the bed.Throwing the sheets over my head I mumbled-"Let me sleep"
The cover was yanked off my body causing me to groan-"Baby you're starving me!"-I heard Shawn complain -"It's like 11 and you haven't prepared me any food!"
I rubbed my eyes as I sat down on the bed with my eyes still closed.I finally opened my eyes and saw Shawn holding a tray of food.There were pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries on top of them.2 glasses of juice and some napkins
I smiled
"Surprise!"-Shawn laughed as he sat the tray down and gave me kiss on the forehead-"Breakfast for my sleeping lil bear"
"Thank you Shawn.This is perfect"-I wrapped my arms around him.
"You're welcome"-he smiled as he picked up a fork and knife and started to cut down the pancakes.He then held the fork infront of my face-"Come on,eat"
I opened up my mouth and he shoved the pancake and handed me over the juice.The pancakes were amazing-"Did you make these?"
There was no way Shawn was such an amazing cook
"Yeah I did.I did call my mom and asked for the procedures though.Oh and I FaceTimed her the whole time so pretty much,she told me everything I should do"
"They're amazing"
"Well thank you"-he smiled taking a bite for himself-"I really wanted to make you smile this morning.I'm glad I achieved what I wanted"
"You sure did"
"You're perfect"-Shawn said brushing my hair out of my face-"There's just one thing that I would change about you.."
"What is it?"-I asked-"My hair color?"
"Your last name..."-he answered.Dang it.I should've seen that coming
"More pickup lines?"-I smiled and suddenly Shawn seemed nervous.He dropped the fork and cleared his throat
"Actually..."-he bit his lip-"I meant what I said."
My throat tightened,my eyes filled with tears and my heart was beating too fast against my rib cage as Shawn got a little blue box out of his pocket
"Alana Dayes.I consider my self the luckiest to have entered your cafe that night.Since the first day,no matter how hard I tried to stay away from you I just couldn't.I loved you back then and I love you even more now"
I closed my eyes allowing my tears to drip down my face
"I want to build a life with you.I want to come home from a long studio session and find you waiting for me.I want to wake up at the sight of you every single day for the rest of my life.I want to fight with you over who'll wash the dishes after dinner or who'll take out the trash"
I chuckled
"I want to build a house with you and create a family.My life is amazing with you in it and I will love,cherish and protect you until my heart stops beating .I will never take you for granted and I will do everything to make you the happiest person alive.Will you marry me?"
I wiped away my tears -"Are you sure? I mean I can be pretty nerve wrecking and I tend to make you angry.."
"You drive me batshit crazy sometimes"-he admitted-"You're a real pain in the ass sometimes but you're the one that I want and I'm sure about this"
I took in a deep breath as he opened the box,revealing a beautiful diamond ring
"So will you?"-He asked-"Will you make me the happiest man and marry me?"
He looked at me expectantly.A knot of emotions was formed in my stomach.I didn't know if I wanted to cry.Or laugh.Or hell even scream
"My whole life...I never believed that I would love someone as much as I love you.And I never thought that someone would love me as much as you do.The last 4 years have been the best years of my entire life because of you .For a human,I don't imagine love gets any better than this.So yes"
His face lit up-"Yes?"
I nodded-"Yes Shawn.I want to marry you"
"You actually said yes?"-He chuckled nervously and I nodded.He didn't hesitate to slide the ring onto my finger as he wrapped his arms around me,holding me tight.I smiled as he pulled away and cupped my face giving me multiple pecks in my life
"I.love.you.so.much"-he said kissing me in between each word
"I love you more"-I smiled as I layed down an the bed pulling him down with me.
