Afina woke up the next day sighing before getting up and getting dressed and taking tunnels down to the institute.
"Afina? What're you doing here?" Alec asked looking at his sister weirdly
"Getting back to my old self" Afina said before grabbing her bow and arrow before smiling at it
"I have to go find Azazel (idk how to spell his name) I'll see you later" Alec said and Afina nodded before pulling her arrow back and shooting at the target
"Little rusty are we?" She heard and turned to Jace who was smiling at her
"Suppose so, don't you have a job to do?" Afina asked smirking and he rolled his eyes before motioning his head for her to follow
"Come on I'll show you my job" Jace laughed making her smile before walking after him and they stopped next to the board with Alec and Clary
They talked about the greater demon and where he would be but Afina stayed silent not knowing what was going on before turning her head to see Izzy and Sebastian
"Maybe we can help" she said before glancing at her sister "Afina what're you doing here?"
"Getting back to my old self" she said not looking at Izzy making Izzy look down guilty before talking to Alec and Jace
Izzy introduced Sebastian and Alec and Jace shook his hand before Sebastian turned to Clary shaking her hand. He then turned to Afina who just looked at his hand
"Sorry I don't have good experiences with people named Sebastian" Afina said smiling sarcastically and Alec elbowed her. Afina rolled her eyes before quickly shaking his hand
After Sebastian told them how to kill Azazel, Alec wanted to leave and Sebastian wanted to come with but Alec wouldn't let him
Afina tried not to smirk at Alecs sassy attitude towards the man but she couldn't hold it when Alec started talking about Magnus being a better tracker then Sebastian
"You do what you want I'm gonna work with Magnus" Alec said before walking away and Izzy chasing after him
"I would help but it's not night yet so I'll practice and if you need help I'll come after the suns down" Afina said turning to Jace who nodded before Afina ran off to her bow and started shooting targets again
Afina shot all her arrows over and over again until she was able to shoot all her arrows into the bullseye
After a while she finally did it and smiled triumphantly before her phone started ringing and she pulled it out to see Raphael
"What?" She asked when she picked up the phone
"Afina where are you?" Raphael asked and Afina rolled her eyes
"You don't need to know" Afina said and Raphael sighed
"Afina what's wrong?" Raphael asked
"Are you kidding me?! You already know why! Look Raphael I need time ok? I just don't feel like myself and I'm hoping being at the institute will help me" Afina explained
"Afina you're not a Shadowhunter anymore you're a vampire!" Raphael said and Afina groaned in frustration
"I know! But I feel weaker as a vampire and I need to find myself ok? I'll talk to you later" Afina pulled the phone away from her and hung up before Raphael could reply
She sighed before looking around and seeing Izzy walk off. After having a silent argument with herself Afina followed after her
"I heard you and Raphael are kind of seeing each other and I was hoping you'd help me" was the first thing Afina heard making her stop in her tracks
"Look if you don't want to get involved that's fine" Simon said quickly
"No it's not that it's just the reason I was around him was because I was addicted to vampire venom. And I need to fix my relationship with Afina as well" Izzy said looking down
"Is she still mad at you?" Simon asked and it was silent for a minute
"She has every right to be, I was a terrible sister" Izzy said and Afina looked down before making her appearance
"I forgive you Izzy" she said and the pair quickly looked at the new voice
"What?" Izzy asked surprised
"I forgive you" Afina said again before running up to her and wrapping her sister in a hug making Izzy smile in relief
"Now let's fix your problem Simon" Izzy said grabbing Afinas hand
"Hey wait maybe you shouldn't go near Raphael" Simon said making Izzy smirk
"Who said we were going near him?" She said before walking away leaving Simon standing alone confused
"Oh I can't go with you the suns still out" Afina said stopping quickly
"Hold on I may have a solution" Simon said before grabbing her hand and running into the institute to find Jace
"What are we doing?" Afina questioned but was only ignored
"Afina do you trust me?" Simon asked and Afina nodded "Jace give her some of your blood"
"Wait what?!" Afina questioned looking at Simon as if he were insane
"You want to walk in the sun and I want to know if this works so Jace c'mon" Simon said and Jace rolled his eyes before lifting his sleeve
Afina looked at her brothers confused before biting Jaces wrist and having to be pulled away by Simon
"Thanks Jace bye Jace!" Simon said quickly before pulling Afina back to where Izzy was waiting
As soon as she got close to the outdoors she stopped and Simon looked at her
"Afina trust me" Simon said and Afina held out her hand allowing the sun to touch it. She smiled as nothing happened before stepping out into the sun and laughing
(A/N i don't know if that's actually how Simon can walk in the sun but I'm just going with it right now)
"C'mon lets go" Izzy smiled grabbing her sisters hand and walking to the park after stopping to get flowers
Izzy sat next to an old women handing her the flowers confusing both Simon and Afina
"Who's this?" Simon asked and Izzy explained it was someone related to Raphael
"Ok I'm all for this kind of thing but kidnapping Raphaels grandmother?" Simon questioned and Izzy rolled her eyes
"Ok first we aren't kidnapping her and second she's his sister not his grandmother." Izzy explained
"For real?!" Afina asked and Izzy laughed before Simon got a picture with his sister
"I probably could have talked to him" Afina pointed out. The pair shrugged before they left to the Chinese restaurant next to where Simon sorta lives
Afina sat down next to Izzy as Simon went and got them food. After bringing the food back Afina mainly stayed silent as Izzy and Simon talked
Long story short Simon found out that Jace wasn't Clarys brother. They all stayed silent before a portal appeared
"Oh no" Afina said seeing the vampires from the hotel step out and then Raphael who charged at Simon
His two men held onto Simon while Izzy and Afina stayed back
"Would've been easier to kill you during the night. But you came near my sister you pay now" Raphael said holding a stake near him
"Raphael! Stop!" Afina yelled but Izzy pushed her behind her
"I'm guessing this is your doing Isabelle. You gave your friends some bad advice. Hold them back" Raphael said and the vampire who was a girl grabbed onto Izzys wrist
"Suffering from withdrawal? I can fix that" she smiled and Afina saw Izzy about to cry
"Stop!" Afina shouted shoving at the vampire who only laughed and punched her in the stomach
Afina grabbed the small knife she hid in her boot before threatening to stab the vampire
"What does Raphael see in you?" She growled and Afina gripped the blade tighter
Raphael went to stab Simon when Luke and some of his pack barged in making the vampires back away since it was still daylight
Simon ran over to Luke while Izzy ripped her hand from the vampires grasp. The other vampires watched in amazement and confusion as Simon stood in the sun
Raphael walked up close to Simon before turning back around
"We're done here let's go" Raphael said and the warlock opened the portal but none of Raphaels people followed
"Let's go!" He shouted but still they didn't move. Raphael turned to Afina before holding out his hand she scoffed shoving past him to the back of the restaurant
After they left Izzy looked to where her sister was. Izzy looked over at Simon who shrugged in response
"Afina" Izzy called walking over to her sister who threw a plate at a wall
"Why does he do this?!" Afina yelled flinching as Izzy rested her hand on her shoulder
"Afina it is kind of our fault" Izzy said and tears built up in Afinas eyes
"I'm so lost Izzy what am I supposed to do?" Afina cried and Izzy pulled her into a hug stroking her back
"Afina I know you're confused. I know you don't want to be a vampire but you say you do and I know you love Raphael but it's time to decide" Izzy said and Afina nodded before the pair walked out to the front where Simon was

The three of them walked around the town with it raining and once again Afina stayed silent while Izzy and Simon talk
Afina looked off in the distance before Izzy stopped her and she noticed Simon was now gone and she assumed he went to the restaurant again
"Afina go talk to him and come to the institute if you need to ok?" Izzy asked and Afina nodded before pulling Izzy into a hug
"Thank you" Afina whispered and Izzy pulled away before pushing her in the direction of the hotel
Afina walked to the hotel before walking in ignoring the stares from the other vampires. Once she got to Raphaels room she hesitated before opening the door
"What do you want" Raphael asked not looking at the door
"To say I'm sorry" Afina said and Raphael turned around quickly
"Afina" Raphael sighed before quickly going up to her and pulling her in an embrace
"I'm sorry Raphael I'm just so confused right now" Afina said once again tears threatening to spill but she refused to let them
"No I'm sorry for everything. For Isabelle for almost killing Simon but for hurting you. I shouldn't be hurting the person I love" Raphael said and Afinas eyes widened
"You love me?" She questioned and Raphael pulled away before smiling
"I love you Afina" he said stroking her cheek
"I love you too" she smiled before he leaned in and kissed her
