I was in my gym working out with my headphones blasting in my ears as I ran full speed on the treadmill I tried to keep my mind focused on positive things but honestly the events that had transpired three weeks ago with Luis coming back into Lauren's life unannounced was really starting to get to me Lauren was literally the first real thing that I had had the first love just everything she was my life now and I lived and breathed her
I was startled by the doorbell ringing and surprisingly I heard it through my headphones because the loud heavy knocking on the door
"Yeah I hear you hold up!" I yelled calmly as I ran towards the door as I reached it I turned the knob and opened the door to see a tall handsome dark haired, brown eyed guy standing before me the horrible scent of his cheap Gucci cologne permeated my nose causing me to grimace subtly
"Hello y/n/ is Lauren here?" Luis asked as he produced a clown smile
immediately my face turned from shock to anger
"What do you want with her?" I asked as I stood blocking the door
"Well, I came here to ask her if she would join me for a lunch date?"
"wait, What are you tal-"
"Luis Hi you showed up" Lauren said cutting my words off as she walked past me to hug Luis I stood in complete shock unable to fully process what I was seeing
"Lauren are you serious right now?" I asked trying to keep my temper in check was she really conversation with him and hugging him like I wasn't there standing behind her
"I'll explain later I love you" Lauren suggested as she kissed me and turned with Luis and left
I was left standing in an empty house while my girlfriend just went off with her ex lover in that moment I had completely given up
(Time Forward)
I sat on the balcony sipping an ice cold beer watching the waves smash onto the shore I was a bit drunk at this point having had 5 beers the subtle sound of the balcony door opening prompted me to turn only to see Lauren walking towards me with a sweet smile on her face I checked the time 6:45 pm Lauren had been gone for 5 hours I thought to myself as I subtly rolled my eyes
"Hey baby sorry i'm late Luis and I were catching up on-"
"Catching up or fucking I mean which is it Lauren because right now I am kinda fucking confused?" I expressed bluntly before turning to her tears threatening to fall from my face but I refused to allow myself to get weak I stood up and walked into the living room towards the kitchen to grab another beer
"What did you say" y/n I know you don't mean that" Lauren exclaimed a clear sign of disbelief and hurt in her voice
"Don't I?" I shot back as I stumbled Lauren helped me regain my balance before sitting me down
"Don't touch me!" I slurred as I pushed past her and headed to wards the stairs
"baby where are you going?!" Lauren shouted
"Upstairs! to bed Lauren where does it look like i'm going!" I Shouted behind me as Lauren followed
"No I refuse to let you go to bed fucking drunk and upset let me explain what happened it's not what you think!" she shouted as I entered our bedroom I unknowingly held the door open for Lauren as she walked through it with caution
"I don't wanna hear what you've got to say Lauren you were gone for 5 hours you left me in the dark with this and I've had to process this shit wondering if you were going to sleep with him! wondering if you were going to hurt me or worse just fucking use me and leave me like everyone else!" I shouted as I turned towards the window
"Would you stop this! look at yourself listen to yourself you're not making any sense! Luis came to me secretly because he wanted to talk to me I was the only one that he could confide in! and I wanted to be there for him!" Lauren shot back
"For what Lauren huh! what could he possibly have needed you for!" I shouted as I turned to her
"He came out to me okay! Luis is Gay! are you happy now?! now that you've hurt me by assuming the worst when you know i'd never fucking hurt you ever! you saved my life and for you to think that of me that hurts me you've hurt me!" she shouted I watched as tears rolled down her face Lauren walked to her drawers and began packing a bag
""Wait where are you going? Lauren i'm sorry I'm fucking sorry okay I I just didn't wanna lose you to him!" I shouted
"No, get your hands off of me y/n we need some time apart, you need to cool down.. I'm going to stay with my parents for a while i'll be back later I need to be with my family right now" Lauren said I watched as she exited our room descended the stairs got into her car and drove away
"What the hell have I just done?".... What the hell have I just done.
