Me: I wanna quit. Can I please quit?
Parents: But you've come so far!
Me: :screws up a C major scale:
Parents: You can't quit now, or Harvard will never accept you and we'll disown you and you will be a disgrace to China and you'll end up begging on the streets wishing that you'd never quit piano.
Me: ?!?! But I'm not good at piano. I don't have any musical talent.
Parents: You're right. You suck. You need to practice more.
AFTER ANOTHER WEEK
Parents: Okay, we've signed you up for a level 10 piano examination in two weeks.
Me: !!!! I'M NOT READY I'VE ONLY BEEN DOING THIS FOR TWO WEEKS.
