'You're still a buster.'

- Dominic Toretto

"One thing we know for sure is that they want this car," Dom stated pointing a steel pipe at it.

Brian nodded.

"Cause something is in it," he stated giving the car a questioning look.

Dom put down the pipe and walked over to the driver's seat with a determined look.

"We find out what it is and we'll know what we're up against."

Mia and Brian shared a look before heading to the car to help Dom find whatever it is they needed to obtain. If they had the true treasure then they could get ahead of this "boss" guy.

Zack finally woke up from his rest which hadn't been much since he kept seeing Letty's face. She watched him and spoke with him until he couldn't take just being there knowing what he knew. Knowing that she was gone.

After pulling on his shoes, he headed out of the room that he'd found to lie in and ended up stumbling in on Brian, Mia, and Dom rifling and trying to break down the whole car.

"Something up?", he called out giving his brother a questioning look.

"Yeah. The car's loaded. We're looking for something that these very "important" people want."

"Why didn't you tell me this last night? I could have stripped it down and had it back in place by morning."

"Zack, we...", Mia gave him a look of concern as she took a few steps closer noticing the bags under his eyes and the way he made himself look small.

"We appreciate you wanting to help but you need some time, man."

"Dom, I'm fine. You know me. I'm a fighter," Zack pushed on the fact that Dominic had been his mentor in racing and he'd helped him through some pretty rough spots even giving him advice on girls and dealing with Letty. "I can handle this. What do you need?", he looked to Mia when he realized that Brian and Dom weren't going to be much help.

"I'm sorry, Zack."

He gave them an angry glare as he spun around and headed back to the room. They obviously didn't need him. He wasn't "grown up" enough to take care of himself. It just was so irritating with Brian being so overprotective and Mia & Dom joining in.

"Stop fighting with him. He's just worried about you," Letty's arms wrapped around his waist as he glared out towards the water.

Being on the bridge made him feel secure and peaceful.

"He's been that way ever since our parents passed. It's not just him being worried about me. Him wanting to keep me close and not end up like Dad has changed him a lot."

Zack sighed. He knew his brother loved him and would go to the ends of the Earth to protect him but he needed to prove to himself that he could be a man.

"Well, do you know I love you?", she said it all carefree as if asking about if he liked her hair or what he had ate for breakfast this morning. "Cause I do...."

"Three weeks and you finally say it back," Zack smirked happy for finally hearing the words but a little worried that Letty wasn't the traditional type of girl. "And I'm glad you did. Now I can give you this," the blue eyed boy pulled out a black velvet box from his leather jacket pocket and opened it slowly.

Letty's eyes softened at the cracked pearl ring.

"My grandmother gave it to Brian when he was 18. He eventually gave it to me seeing as he wasn't much for tradition and now I'm giving it to you. It's not an engagement ring if you were worried."

She rolled her eyes and took the ring to place it on her ring finger. It meant something. Even if Zack didn't know it or how to explain why he was giving it to her.

"Well..."

"Well, what?"

Zack's look of confusion made her roll her eyes again. She pushed him against the car and kissed him knowing she could throw hints all day and he'd never just take the bait.

/

He began to sweat and as he sat up to glare out the barred windows, he almost thought he saw something even he knew couldn't be real.

"We have to get out of here," Dom stated after the loud noise that brought Zack back into the main area sounded again.

They stared at one another for a second and grabbed their things. Brian handed Dom the chip that they had found in the car as they headed out of the building through the windows.

Zack felt his blood pump as he flipped from rooftop to rooftop until he reached a higher ledge and grasped it with one hand as his legs pushed him further up. The sounds of gun shots caused him to look back and his grip slipped just a little. A hand shot out and lifted him all the way onto the roof.

His brother.

They both ran as fast as they could without looking back but making sure to keep Mia in their sights.

She fell through a roof with Brian holding onto her.

Finally they entered a spot which seemed like it was clear.

Mia hugged Brian and she seemed like she wanted to say something but she didn't.

"We should split up," Dom stated as he entered the clearing with them.
